1 Booking Pre- or Post- Cruise Air and Hotel Vacations Earn more when you use VAX VacationAccess to book a pre- or post-cruise hotel stay with round trip air. Give your cruise clients a choice of flights, reserve their seat assignments, offer them more hotel options, and sell commissionable features to help you earn more from your preferred suppliers. When you book a pre- or post-cruise hotel with round trip air in VAX VacationAccess, you can: Earn commission on the published air and land components using Set Your Own Commission. Reserve seat assignments for your clients immediately after booking. Choose the flights your clients want and add the frequent flyer numbers to their reservation. Add activities and transfers to your pre- or post-cruise stays. 2 2 A Pre-Cruise Stay Scenario You have booked your clients on an 11-day/10-night Southern Caribbean cruise, sailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 8. They will fly from Chicago (ORD) to San Juan (SJU) on September 6 and stay in a hotel for two nights prior to the cruise, and return to Chicago on September 19. Example: Follow the steps below to book an air and hotel vacation package with a pre-cruise stay at the destination (Funjet Vacations used in this example as the supplier). Step 1: Select One destination for Vacation Type and Flight + Hotel Package as the Package Type from the Advanced Search page in VAX. Step 2: Enter Chicago O Hare (ORD) in the Origin field and San Juan (SJU) as the destination. Step 3: Enter the departure date of 06SEP15 for the flight to San Juan. Step 4: Enter total number of nights including cruise nights. The return date will auto-fill. NOTE: In this example, the # of Nights field should include the pre-cruise hotel stay in San Juan (2) and the total duration of the cruise (11), for a total of 13 nights. Step 5: Click the plus sign in the Hotel panel to expand the hotel options. Step 6: Enter the checkout date of 08SEP15. NOTE: The check-in and checkout dates will default to the total number of nights defined earlier in the # of Nights field. Step 7: Click the Search button. VAXVacationAccess.com

Let s look at the same cruise scenario, but with two nights added onto the end of the vacation. You have booked your clients on an 11-day/10-night Southern Caribbean cruise, sailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 8. They will fly from Chicago (ORD) to San Juan (SJU) on September 8, embark on their cruise and then stay in a hotel for two nights after their cruise, returning to Chicago on September 21. Example: Step 1: Select One destination as the Vacation Type and Air and Hotel w/optional Car/Features as the Package Type from the Advanced Search page in VAX. Step 2: Enter Chicago (ORD) in the Origin field and San Juan (SJU) as the destination. Step 3: Enter the departure date of 08SEP15 for the flight to SJU. Step 4: Enter total number of nights including cruise nights. The return date will auto-fill. NOTE: In this example, the # of Nights field should include the total duration of the cruise (11), plus the post-cruise hotel stay in San Juan (2), for a total of 13 nights.
