1 1. Verification a. Between January 2018, received seven (07) clearance requests and granted six (06) clearances b. During the reporting week, six (06) vessels sailed from Yemen s Red Sea ports discharging a total of 76,244 metric tonnes (t) of cargo including: 36,150 t of food and 40,094 t of fuel. c. The average time for to process the clearance requests from the reception of full documentation and information from the requestor to the issuance of clearance requests was 31 hours. d. As of 16 January 2018, seven (07) vessels were in the Coalition holding area; ten (10) vessels were awaiting their clearances to be processed - ten (10) vessels were for Hodeidah ; zero vessel is in the anchorage area; one (01) vessels were cleared-en route and sailing towards Yemen s Red Sea ports. As of 16 January 2018, five (05) vessels are at berth in Yemen s Red Sea port as highlighted in the vessel movement log and maps: Three(03) in Hodeidah - 01 Tanker transporting gasoline; 02 Food vessels loaded with sugar and corn. Two (02) in Saleef 02 Food vessels loaded with sugar and wheat. 2. Inspections Between January 2018, conducted two (02) vessels inspection. 3. Ports Line-up As of 16 January 2018, the operational status of ports as shown on the map is based on information provided by Wilhelmsen Ship Services AS. 4. Challenges a. One (01)vessel, Salam Y, laden with 4,844 metric tonnes (t) of timber and plywood, inspected and cleared by both EHOC and is still at the holding area. b. Another cleared vessel in the holding area, Faith, laden with 28,400 of wheat in bulk is still in the holding area. c. There are still a total of six (06) cleared vessels at the holding area. Anchorage Area: The anchorage area represents an area controlled by local port authorities where vessels await their turn to berth after being authorised to do so by the port s control tower. Berthed: The vessel has been authorised to proceed to the port s berth and is in the process of discharging its cargo. Sailed: The vessel has berthed, discharged its cargo and sailed from the port.
