1 Monday, November 8, 21 - Week 45 The Week at a Glance Injection! Fed decided last week to inject about USD 6, billion in treasury bonds (USD 75, billion per month) which led in market reacting positively and also crude tanker sector spiking especially in the VLs. Following this new reality, oil prices continued to head north with levels reaching and even passing above the USD 87 per barrel. Staying in USA, economists are still pessimistic about the economic rebound in local economy as unemployment kept on flirting with the 1% (9,6% to be exact). The rate, which in brief accounts of about 14,8 million unemployed, gives the employers the opportunity to keep wages low enough, hence keeping consumption in low levels. Passing on to Europe and Germany to be more exact, exports showed a significant rise on September of about 22,5% compared to same month last year. We have to note that imports also picked up 18% for the same months.
