LEGENDS OF LAND & SEA Set sail for an extraordinary encounter with some of the most unique wildlife, flora and fauna in the world: The incomparable Galapagos Islands. Situated 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands are a living laboratory, offering Inspirato Members a unique interaction with nature. The islands are synonymous with survival and the diversity of species on earth. Consisting of 19 islands and more than 40 islets, the Galapagos archipelago was created 6 million years ago when they emerged from the Pacific in a flurry of volcanic activity. You ll explore these islands from the comfort of our fully chartered expedition ship, the M/V Eclipse. Most of the journey is taken within the protected areas of the Galapagos National Park and the Galapagos Marine Reserve, where you might see penguins, sea lions, albatross, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, flamingos and much more - all from an incredibly close vantage point. View amazing creatures while kayaking, snorkeling and exploring remote islands. These animals include surfacing dolphins and whales, flightless cormorants, giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, brown pelicans, fur seals and many more. Your expedition guides will lead small groups on to each island and you ll have personal access to their breadth of knowledge. The Eclipse enlists only the most experienced of guides and naturalists for its voyages. These experts will share commentary during day tours and lead engaging conversations while on board the ship. 4

ITINERARY AT A GLANCE ITINERARY AT A GLANCE: GALAPAGOS ISLANDS, ECUADOR Our seven-night Genovesa itinerary takes place in the northern region of the archipelago, with visits to Isabela and Fernandina Islands, renowned for their unique wildlife and exceptional snorkeling. Genovesa Island is home to some of the most extraordinary bird life you will ever see and the view from the top of Bartolomé Island is emblematic of the Galapagos. The Eclipse anchors offshore at two visitor sites per day. Guests are divided into groups of no more than 12 people, then ferried to landing points in Zodiac boats. On the islands, visitors follow marked trails, walking at a leisurely pace, with the guide explaining the unusual sights. Approximately 3 hours are spent at each site, allowing plenty of time to explore and to photograph the abundant wildlife. Afterwards, there is often an opportunity to swim, snorkel or kayak before returning to the Eclipse. ITINERARY DAY 1 Friday, July 1, 2016 Pre-Expedition Hotel Stay in Guayaquil, Ecuador - Hilton Colon Guayaquil Hotel Arriving no later than Friday, July 1, check into Inspirato s pre-expedition hotel. It is highly recommended to arrive two days prior to the expedition, but not required. The night of Friday, July 1 is included in your expedition fare. Additional nights available for arrivals prior to July 1 at an additional charge. DAY 2 Saturday, July 2, 2016 Flight to Baltra to Embark M/V Eclipse Black Turtle Cove, Santa Cruz Island Upon arrival at Baltra airport, you will clear immigration and be met by your guide, who will escort you on a short bus ride to the harbor. A motorized Zodiac will then transfer you to the M/V Eclipse, where the captain and crew will welcome you aboard. Check in to your cabin, attend an introductory briefing and safety drill and enjoy lunch as the expedition gets underway. Santa Cruz Island - Black Turtle Cove Black Turtle Cove is one of the most beautiful marine sites in the Galapagos. It is a complex maze of tranquil saltwater islets, surrounded by three different species of mangroves. Its waters are a nursery site for sea turtles, rays, as well as a nesting area for seabirds. This site is only accessible by Zodiac. Difficulty level: easy DAY 3 Sunday, July 3, 2016 Rábida Island and Puerto Egas (James Bay), Santiago Island Rábida is a small island with red volcanic rocks surrounding a beautiful red sand beach, where there is a colony of sea lions and a pelican nesting site. The trail leads to a saltwater lagoon where shore birds can be seen. Activities include snorkeling, swimming, kayaking or a Zodiac ride. Difficulty level: easy to moderate 9

Santiago Island - Puerto Egas Puerto Egas (James Bay) is located on the northwest side of Santiago Island. The landing is on a black beach with eroded rock formations in the background. The trail crosses the dry interior, where the remains of a salt mining enterprise can still be seen, and then continues along the coast. Tidal pools are home to a variety of invertebrate organisms, including sea urchins, octopuses and starfish. You will also see marine iguanas, finches, oystercatchers and possibly the Galapagos hawk. The trail leads to the Fur Sea Lion Grotto, one of the only places in the islands where these unique animals can be seen. After the walk, you will have time to swim or snorkel off the beach, where you will see sea lions, fish and maybe some turtles and rays. Difficulty level: easy to moderate DAY 4 Monday, July 4, 2016 Tagus Cove, Isabela Island and Punta Espinoza, Fernandia Island - Espinoza Point Happy Independence Day! Tagus Cove was historically used as an anchoring place for pirates, buccaneers and whalers. The trail up from the cove goes through an area of vegetation, leading to a spectacular view of Darwin Volcano Lake. Activities include snorkeling, kayaking and a Zodiac ride. Difficulty level: easy to difficult Fernandina Island - Espinoza Point Fernandina Island is one of the most pristine and dynamic ecosystems in the entire world. La Cumbre Volcano, which last erupted in April 2009, dominates the landscape, with lava fields stretching towards the ocean from its base. Espinoza Point is home to unique Galapagos species such as the Galapagos penguin, flightless cormorant, Galapagos snake and huge marine iguanas. Difficulty level: moderate DAY 5 Tuesday, July 5, 2016 Urbina Bay, Punta Vicente Roca Urbina Bay is located in Western Isabela, at the foot of Alcedo volcano. After a wet landing on a beautiful black-sand beach, you may be able to observe sea turtle nesting sites. This area is also known for penguin and flightless cormorant sightings and is one of the best places to see Darwin s finches as well as large land iguanas. Be on the lookout for Galapagos tortoises which like to feed within the site s dense vegetation. In the west of Isabela, at the foot of Alcedo volcano, this site is famous for its large land iguanas and keep your eyes peeled for Galapagos tortoises, flightless cormorants and penguins Difficulty level: easy to moderate DAY 6 Wednesday, July 6, 2016 Puerto Ayora (Charles Darwin Station), Highlands of Santa Cruz On your visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station, gain insight into the great efforts being made by scientists, guides, rangers and park managers to preserve this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see the famous Galapagos tortoises that are the namesake of the islands. After the visit, we drive to the green highlands of Santa Cruz, where you will visit a tortoise reserve to search for giant tortoises in their natural surroundings. The afternoon is to be enjoyed at your leisure. Difficulty level: easy to moderate 11

DAY 7 Thursday, July 7, 2016 El Barranco, Genovesa Island, Darwin Bay Beach Genovesa, or Tower Island, is the northernmost island that is allowed to be visited by naturalist (non-diving) cruises. This island is extremely remote and home to literally millions of birds belonging to many different species, including the red-footed booby as well as frigates, swallow-tailed gulls and even endemic owls. There are two sites on Genovesa that are visited by the M/V Eclipse. El Barranco, also known as Prince Phillip s Steps, is a steep path with stairs carved into the rock, which leads to a plateau full of bird life among a palo santo forest. You will see Nazca boobies, Galapagos doves, mockingbirds and petrels. With some luck, you might even spot a short-eared owl. Difficulty level: moderate Genovesa Island Darwin Bay Darwin Bay s soft, coralline white sand is only the beginning of a spectacular excursion. A trail from the beach leads to lush mangroves where red-footed boobies nest. Other locals include sea lions, swallow-tailed gulls and frigate birds. Kayaking or snorkeling are a must here, since reef sharks, colorful reef fish, rays and sea turtles are often seen. Difficulty level: easy to moderate DAY 8 Friday, July 8, 2016 Bartolome Island and Cerro Dragon, Santa Cruz Island Bartolome is a small island that has two visitor sites. At the first site, snorkel around Pinnacle Rock, where penguins are usually seen. Then it s back on board for a quick change of clothes followed by a short dinghy ride to a dry landing for a climb to the highest point on the island. On the way up, you will encounter different volcanic formations, including spatter and tuff cones, lava flow and lava tubes. From the summit, take in the wonderful view of Sullivan Bay. For those not interested in the hike, there is the option of a Zodiac ride. Usual fauna and flora also includes sea lions, pioneer plants, reef sharks, rays and colorful reef fish. Difficulty Level: moderate. Walk up 375 low-grade stairs to top of volcano at a slow to moderate pace. 13

Santa Cruz Island - Dragon Hill As the name implies, Cerro Dragon (Dragon Hill) is known for its healthy population of land iguanas. Other locals include common stilts, pintail ducks and occasionally flamingos. A short walk up the hill leads you to a land iguana nesting site, with breathtaking views of the bay. You will have the chance to go swimming or snorkeling after the walk. Difficulty level: easy to moderate DAY 9 Saturday, July 9, 2016 Disembark M.V. Eclipse Flight to Quito, Ecuador, Post-Expedition Hotel Stay at Swissotel For those interested in an early morning excursion, visit Las Bachas Beach which is located in the north of Santa Cruz Island. Its soft, white sand is derived from decomposed coral, making it a favorite nesting site for sea turtles. Behind the beach there is a small brackish lagoon, where it is possible to observe flamingos and other coastal birds, such as black-necked stilts and whimbrels. Difficulty level: easy At 10 a.m., disembark the Eclipse and transfer to the Baltra airport. The flight to Quito, Ecuador leaves in the afternoon and upon arrival there will be a group transfer to the Swissotel in Quito, Inspirato s post-expedition hotel. The night of July 9 is included in your expedition fare. Additional nights are available after July 9 at an additional charge. DAY 10 Sunday, July 10, 2016 International flight home Take your unforgettable memories of the Galapagos home with you. *Itinerary subject to change due to weather / sea conditions 15

THE M/V ECLIPSE The M/V Eclipse operates under two equally important guidelines: to ensure the comfort and safety of it s passengers at all times, and to protect the integrity of the fragile Galapagos environment. The M/V Eclipse is certified within the Rainforest Alliance Smart Voyager program. The Eclipse is an upscale expedition vessel that offers unparalleled levels of comfort and service. Large enough to travel the Pacific in comfort and safety, small enough to dock at remote ports and negotiate inter-island landings with agility, the Eclipse is the perfect size for an expedition-style adventure and the choice for travelers who prefer the intimate, comfortable atmosphere and attentive service of a smaller boutique vessel to a larger cruise ship. She features outstanding open-air spaces, comfortable cabins, and spectacular al fresco dining. The Eclipse s 26 spacious staterooms accommodate up to 48 Inspirato Members, their family, friends and guests just half the number usually found on a ship this size. This means that passengers can enjoy the generous accommodation of a larger vessel, while preserving the atmosphere and exclusivity of a smaller yacht. Exploring with a small group of like-minded fellow members, guests can experience the unrivalled itineraries led by certified naturalist guides. 13 THE GALAPAGOS EXPEDITION EXPERIENCE SNORKELING Throughout the cruise there are several opportunities to delve into the spectacular underwater world of the Galapagos Islands. It is not unusual to share the marine environment with rays, sea turtles, flightless cormorants, penguins, marine iguanas, a multitude of fish, and of course the ever playful sea lions. Two types of snorkeling are offered: from the beach, which is suitable for beginners, and deep water snorkeling from a Zodiac. The use of snorkeling equipment and wetsuits is complimentary on the Eclipse. ISLAND EXCURSIONS On island excursions, you will have a unique opportunity to interact with the natural world to a degree that is virtually impossible anywhere else on the planet. The Eclipse s certified naturalist guides are there to educate you on evolution and showcase the uniqueness of each individual island. The Eclipse anchors offshore at the visitor sites, and motorized Zodiac boats carry you to landing points. On the islands, you follow marked trails, walking at a leisurely pace with your guide explaining the unusual sights you see. Approximately three hours are spent at each site and activity levels range from Easy to Difficult, so guests can select walks that match their interests and abilities. 25

KAYAKING Kayaking provides a wonderful opportunity to observe the wildlife up-close along the cliffs and in the water. When the water is clear, it is fairly common to spot sea turtles, sea lions, rays and even dolphins. Your guide and a motorized Zodiac are always nearby for safety, and no prior experience is required. ZODIAC RIDES Due to the fragile nature of the islands ecosystems, certain visitor sites do not allow land excursions, so we explore the area by motorized Zodiac. It is a chance to study the Galapagos dramatic geography, paddle through tranquil mangroves and observe sea turtles, penguins, sea birds and much more. WHALE WATCHING Although sightings are not guaranteed, with a keen eye and some luck you may see some whales during your cruise, especially between June and September. An announcement will always be made if a whale is spotted from the Eclipse. EQUATOR CROSSING We will cross the Equator in the late afternoon on Tuesday, July 5, Guests are welcome to join the captain on the bridge and observe the GPS showing latitude 0. OPEN BRIDGE POLICY The Eclipse has an open bridge policy, which means that guests are welcome to visit the captain and his officers for a lesson in navigation throughout the cruise. BRIEFINGS AND LECTURES The Eclipse s expert naturalist guides offer nightly briefings and lectures on the day s discoveries and specific topics related to the islands. 27
