1 MOL Liner Ltd. Announces On-Time Arrival Performance Results for October to December February 7, 2017 Hong Kong MOL Liner Ltd. today announced the On-Time Arrival Performance quarterly results for October to December for the major trade lanes as an effort of upgrading and improving the quality of services MOL Liner offers. During the past five years, MOL has continued to offer industry-leading transparency to customers and showcase its strength as a carrier that provides high quality service by working towards a set of goals for key performance indicators (KPI), including on-time arrival performance. Measurement criteria are: Scope of trade lanes is East-West Trade: Asia-U.S. West Coast Asia-U.S. East Coast Asia-Europe Asia-Mediterranean North-South Trade: Intra Asia Trade: Asia-East Coast South America Asia-Mexico/West Coast South America Europe-Africa /India/Pakistan Japan/Thailand When a vessel arrives at the first port of destination area for both directions, eastbound and westbound, within 24 hours of scheduled time of arrival, the voyage is regarded as On-Time Arrival. In each trade, Table 1 covers all vessels in the above scope and Table 2 covers vessels under MOL operations. Both results are weight-averaged based on MOL space allocation of each service. 1

3 Note: MOL s Asia to U.S. West Coast service (JAS and SE2) improved from 98% in July to September to 100% in October to December. The bad weather and dense fog caused berth congestion which affected the on-time arrival performance of Asia to U.S. East Coast service (CNY and NYX) and Asia to Europe service (LP1 and LP7) under MOL operation. Asia to U.S. East Coast service slipped to 79%, while Asia to Europe service regressed to 90% in October to December. II. Note: In October to December, MOL's Asia-East Coast South America service (CSW) was affected by the stevedore strike in Port Santos, as well as bad weather in South America. The performance of CSW service slipped to 50% as a result. The CWL service under MOL operation was also affected by bad weather in Central China. The performance regressed from 100% in July to September to 67% in October to December. MOL s Europe to South Africa service (SRX) in October to December regressed to 75% due to bad weather and port closures during the Christmas and New Year holiday. 4

Note: MOL operated vessels in Japan to Hong Kong/Straits service (CHS) improved from 85% in July to September to 96% in October to December, although port congestion at Singapore and Port Kelang continued to cause delays. MOL s HSX service slipped from 100% in July to September to 96% in October to December due to typhoon Haima but was still able to achieve a strong on-time arrival performance. The performance of the CBW service slipped significantly from 58% in July to September to 4% in October to December. Adverse weather and several typhoons negatively affected ports in Southeast Asia such as Kobe, Busan, Xiamen, Manila, Laem Chabang and Bangkok, which caused port closures and berth congestion. For the CBE service, the performance slipped from 65% in July to September to 23% in October to December. This was also affected by typhoons in Southeast Asia. Laem Chabang, Manilla, Cai Mep and Busan were congested due to bad weather. 6
