2 Photo competition Captains in Cádiz 1. Purpose of the call: Rules: The Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz announces a photography contest on the occasion of the Captains in Cádiz event, which will be taking place on September 10, 2018 in the city of Cádiz. The participation, involvement and co-operation of the people of Cádiz is sought in the commemoration of the 170th anniversary of the shipping company Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, which has chosen the Port of Cádiz for its historical importance. For this, citizens will be asked to transfer through images of some of the moments that will take place in the city of Cádiz throughout the day. 2. Participants: Any person over 18 years of age and having legal residence in Spain may participate in this contest. 3. Theme and technique: The theme will be Captains in Cádiz, with the intention that citizens will portray some key moment during the day. For more information to the participants, the schedule for that day is attached. (APPENDIX 1) Photographs may be submitted in colour or in black and white. Photo montages, use of the HDR technique and those photographs that have watermarks will be excluded from the competition. 4. Presentation mode: Each participant may submit a single photograph and must be the author of it. Those participants who send more than one photograph will be excluded from the contest. Photographs must be submitted in JPG format, with RGB color space at 300 dpi, and not exceeding 5 MB. The file with the photograph must be entitled with the name, surnames and the title of the photograph according to the following example: name_surname1_surname2_title.jpg 5. Sending the images: They should be sent to: info@puertocadiz.com Contestants must attach the following information in the file submission: - Name and surnames of the author - ID - - Phone - Title of the photograph 6. Deadlines: The delivery time on September 10, 2018 until the same day.

3 Any submission received after that deadline will be automatically excluded. September 10: delivery of photographs until hours. September 11: publication at of the Top 20 finalists photographs. September 12: announcement of the winning photograph and publication of the winning image at 7. Jury: The jury will consist of 2 representatives of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz, 2 representatives of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines and 1 professional of recognized prestige in the world of photography. In addition, the public s opinion will be taken into account through participation in the Facebook page of the Port of the Bay of Cadiz ( through the likes that get the finalist photos during 11th September The ruling will be made public on the APBC website ( and on its social networks on September 12. The decision of the jury will be final. The organisers reserve the right to withdraw the competition and cruise prize in exceptional circumstances. 8. Prize: A single winner s prize is being offered, which will consist of a Fred. Olsen cruise holiday for two adults under the Terms and Conditions established by the prize donor, the company Fred. Award delivery: The Awards Ceremony will be held during the month of September 2018, in the auditorium of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz, located at Plaza de España nº 17, Cádiz. The Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz reserves the right to modify any of the dates indicated. 10. Responsibility and image rights: The authors claim to be the owners of the image rights of the works and those responsible for possible claims from third parties. The authors assign the rights to the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz and to the company Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines for the publication, diffusion or reproduction of the images in massive and sectorial media with the aim of disseminating the results of the contest. Participation in this contest implies acceptance of these rules. The organization reserves the right to resolve as it deems most convenient any situation not foreseen in the bases. 5 APPENDIX 2 The Terms and Conditions relating to Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines cruise prize shall be as follows: - Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines reserves the right to withdraw the cruise prize in exceptional circumstances. - The cruise prize is for two adults, both of 18 years of age and above. No minors may be permitted. - The cruise prize cannot be exchanged for cash. - The cruise prize cannot be sold on through a third party, e.g. on ebay, nor can it be transferred to another person. - The cruise prize will require travel to and from the UK in order to embark / disembark the cruise ship the organisation of which, and costs relating to, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. - The exact category of room will be confirmed at the time of booking. - No room upgrades are available, under any circumstances. - The cruise prize is for two adults sharing a twin-bedded room. - A full, valid EU passport and travel insurance (mandatory) are required. - Travel to / from the UK departure port, shore tours, travel insurance (mandatory), personal expenditure and gratuities are not included in the cruise prize. - It is the sole responsibility of the prize winner to ensure that they have the correct type of travel insurance in place to suit a cruise holiday such as, covering medical repatriation back to Spain in the event of an emergency. - In the rare event of the cancellation of this cruise by Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, for whatever reason, no cash refund may be sought - Fred. Olsen will provide a suitable alternative cruise holiday, which the prize winner is under no obligation to accept. - A gratuity of 5 per person, per day will be added to the onboard account this cannot be removed, under any circumstances, and must be settled at the end of the cruise. - The prize winner shall agree to allow and assist in the promotion and publicity of the prize win, as deemed appropriate by the competition organisers and in full compliance with the new GDPR regulations.
