This honourable name has been given over the years to several monuments of the city. As last year the Organising Committee is going to arrange transport from Madrid Barajas International Airport in Terminal 4 to the Official Hotel and vice versa. (Note: the only transport

2 service to/from the Official Hotel available). A transport service will also be available from the hotel to the race venues. For further information about this service; see the point Transport service below. If a team prefers not to use the transport service, there are various ways of getting to the hotel from the airport: By Train Take the Metro or a taxi from Madrid Barajas International Airport Station to Chamartin train station. At Chamartin take a regional train to Los Angeles de San Rafael. This is a very train and the journey will take 1h30, but it is a beautiful journey up through the mountains. Bikes and big pieces of luggage are allowed. From Los Angeles de San Rafael to the hotel is about 100 meters, just cross the road by the pedestrian crossing. 3 A taxi service is available from Madrid International Airport 24 hours per day. Taxi fares from Madrid International Airport to the Official Hotel (the Tryp Comendador) usually cost approximately 113 each way. The fare may vary depending on the time of day or night, and how much luggage you have. This journey usually takes about one hour with no traffic. Hire Car Europcar is available to hire both cars and vans. We would recommend that you visit their web site for further information. Directions The exit to the Tryp Comendador is marked Los Angeles de San Rafael, and the hotel is located in the ASR residential complex. Media Accreditation for media will open at the end of May. Distance from the hotel to Segovia city, Capital of Province is 25km and takes 20 minutes. Distance from the hotel to Madrid Barajas Airport is 82 km and it takes 1 hour. The hotel, as part of the Melia group, has offered participants, team members and their family and friends a reduced rate during the event.. This hotel will accommodate the UCI medical classification, licence confirmation by Jury panel, accreditations, meetings, press conferences, juries, UCI headquarters, organiser (us) headquarters, equipment warehouse, transport meeting point, classification, photocopies, deliveries, etc. The hotel has ramp access throughout the complex but there is limited availability for wheelchair adapted rooms. Price per night and per person for FB (full board = breakfast, lunch and dinner). Single Room: FB = 100 Double Room: FB = 76 Triple Room: FB = 68 The prices are according to an agreement between us (as organiser) and the hotel and in order to benefit all reservations must be done through us. Please send us your list of participating athletes and staff and we will liaise with the hotel. Any reservations made directly with the hotel will not be able to benefit from the prices listed above. It is mandatory to fill out the Registrations 2012 file, attached, for all persons attending in order to secure reservations for the hotel and all transportation. This list must correspond to the information sentto UCI for race registration. Around the hotel there are excellent circuits and roads for training, offering both flat and hilly terrain with very little traffic. When the Tryp Comendador is full we will use the Nayade Hotel or the El Espinar Hotel close by (4 km) also belonging to the Melia group.

5 Note: there will be transport between the 3 hotels, Tryp Comendador, Tryp Nayade and El Espinar, but not for any other hotel. If you require a different hotel you will find further information in the Tourism Website of Segovia. Please note that no transport will be offered from these hotels. Transport Service In order to be able to welcome you in the best possible conditions for your stay, a private transport company, Union Ciclista Cantimpalos, will be in charge to collect teams and equipment from Madrid Airport, Terminal 4. Transport will be to the Official Hotel. The official hotel, the Tryp Comendador, is 82km from the airport and takes 1 hour by bus. All coaches will leave from Madrid airport Terminal 4 and will go directly to the Tryp Comendador. The waiting area will be outside Terminal 4 on the second floor, just in front of the central door. Note: if you arrive in terminal 1, 2 or 3, you can get a Metro from T1, 2, 3 to T4 or use the transport shuttle service in the airport. There will be adapted coaches for people in wheelchairs. It is therefore very important that you fill out the Category field on the Registration form 2012 with H or W if someone is not an athlete but uses a wheelchair. The cost for the transport of athletes, coaches, helpers, etc., plus their materials, is 120 per person for the duration of the event. This cost includes the transport to/from Madrid Barajas Airport (terminal 4) and the Official Hotel being used, and to/from the start/finish line every day. Transport scheduling: Transport will be made available from Monday 11 th as classification starts on the 12 th and 13 th. There is no schedule currently available. We will keep you updated over the coming weeks. Day 1, Monday 11 th, there will be two transfers provided, one in the middle of day and one in the evening. We hope to avoid any long waits at the airport which may cause discomfort to athletes, many of whom are in wheelchairs. UCI and the Organizing Committee will not be held responsible if you or your team misses their return flight on the last day. You must allow a sufficient margin of time to avoid any supplementary costs in the case of a missed flight. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: Any cancellation must be submitted to Union Ciclista Cantimpalos before 3 rd of June Refunds will ONLY be possible for cases of injury or illness justified by a Doctor s certificate. In the case of cancellation of the entire NPC or team, a refund of 50% of the hotel and transport costs will be made if the cancellation is justified. Event Entry UCI online registration will open on Monday May 2nd and close Friday May 20, 2012 (17h Suisse Time). Registration needs to be done by the National Cycling Federation as any other discipline. Local Organising Committee registration will open on the same date. Registration documents will be available on both UCI and LOC websites. If required, we can issue an invitation letter which must be taken to the Spanish Embassy in your country. 8 Competition Venues Road Race: The road races will be held on a circuit at Cuéllar on the second and third days. Cuéllar is a 1h20 drive from the Tryp Comendador, along a main highway, making it easily accessible for participants and officials. Cuéllar has a population of inhabitants and has a medieval castle. Teams will have access to the 20 garages in the pit lane and other nearby amenities (toilets, showers, parking, etc). The pit lane is next to the finish line. Time Trial Course: Valverde del Majano is the venue for the Time Trial of the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup. Valverde is also a typical town of the Castilla region with no more than 1000 inhabitants. Other information BOXES (warehouse): There will be Boxes free of charge to store material in an exclusive parking area of the hotel, with an electronic key lock. The organiser takes no responsibility for stored equipment. INSURANCE: Each Team is responsible for the appropriate insurance for accidents, health, property and liability of their team, participants, etc. They must show their valid license to the International Commissaries. UCI License: UCI license is mandatory for all competitions, you need to have it with you otherwise you will not be allowed to participate. HELMET: The helmet color has to accord to UCI rules. RULES: The competition will be held under the UCI rules. CHIPS / TRANSPONDERS: The Organising Committee will give a chip (transponder) for each rider to the team manager or designated responsible person. During the accreditation the manager/responsible person will sign further number of chips allocated. On the last day of competition the manager /responsible person will return the same number of chips. Note: in case of a missing chip, 100 euros/unit, will be paid to the Organising Committee.
