PLEASE review the info carefully to help you make the right decision Quick Overview of CLASSIC CUBA We will discover Cuba s larger-than-life culture, sultry rhythms and weathered beauty while exploring the country s historic attractions. We will stroll the scenic esplanade Malecón and get lost among Old Havana s Baroque facades and colonial cobblestone streets. Back in 1960, the United States imposed a severe trade embargo against Cuba. The Blockade was created after Cuba nationalized American-owned oil refineries without compensation. As part of this embargo, travel to Cuba by Americans has been restricted for over half a century. Or more specifically, it s technically illegal for U.S. citizens to have transactions (spend money or receive gifts) in Cuba under most circumstances. Basically, this regulation has prevented most Americans from considering Cuba as a travel destination. Due to economic sanctions, air travel to Cuba from the United States was almost impossible. However, cruising to Cuba is the best ad one of the safest ways to get to Cuba. Your Visa will be secured through the cruise line who does not use U.S. companies. American credit & debit cards do not work in Cuba. Buying Cuban currency with American dollars can result in a 10% fee, it is therefore highly recommended you go to your bank and exchange your American dollars to Euros. On our exclusive tours we will have an Englishspeaking guide who speaks fluent Spanish. Our tour includes Havana City s sites like the Capitol area, the Paseo del Prado with its defiant bronze lions, the famed Plaza de la Revolución, and the time witnessing Malecón. Our walking tour in Old Havana will include its four major squares and the Cathedral of Havana with its baroque façade. We will visit one of the city s renowned cigar bars where we ll see firsthand how tobacco is rolled. We will learn about Cuba s liberation process at the Revolution Museum which houses important documents, vessels, and artifacts form this important period. On our Classic Car tour, we will ride to the 18 th Century San Carlos de la Cabaña fortress, overlooking the Havana Harbor. We ll also stop at the famous marble Christ statue overlook, said to be protecting the harbor. We will return to the port to enjoy dinner onboard. Optional: For an evening on the town you can get picked up for an unforgettable outing at the famous Tropicana for a cabaret show like no other (should arrive by 9:30, show ends after midnight). You ll sample Havana Club Rum during your visit and enjoy the music, dance, and costumes that have made this a must-see attraction in Havana!
