5 Your journey back in time to Nassau's dark pirate past begins at the gangway of the ship, where a pirate will meet you and escort you to a bus During the tour your driver will explain to you the history of Nassau. Your first stop will be Fort Fincastel where you will stop to take in the wonderful view and venture down the Queens Staircase. Then you will continue to Fort Charlotte before heading towards 'Pirates of Nassau'. Here you will experience at first hand what it was really like to be a pirate. You'll discover a replica of a French "Corvette" ship depicting a historical Caribbean dockside and come face to face with Ann Bonny and Mary Read, two notorious women pirates. Your adventure begins at the cruise terminal where you are greeted by your friendly crew. You will then board the boat that will take you to your destination, a pristine, uninhabited island - Gibbs Cay.
