3 Itinerary of your cruise Day 1 - Friday Fort-de-France The largest of the French West Indian towns blends cosmopolitan style and local colour, with its urban lifestyle, colourful markets, metal architecture and charming old houses. Stopover for boarding and disembarking. Ship docked in port. Day 2 - Saturday The Saints One of the most beautiful bays in the world, studded with charming huts and red-roofed dolls' houses. This tiny archipelago is one of the world's exceptional beauty spots. At anchor. Water sports (except water skiing), no beach. Day 3 - Sunday Virgin Gorda This solitary island is a geological curiosity: large granite rocks weathered by time form natural, emerald-coloured pools with a white sandy bottom. Day 4 - Monday Jost Van Dyke This tiny, mountainous island belonging to the UK Virgin Islands, is reputed to be named after a Dutch pirate. It offers superb views of the dazzling blue sea and solitary islands. At anchor, beach and water sports. Day 5 - Tuesday St Barts A mountainous island that has become a symbol of luxury. A fabulous blend of serenity and upscale tourism, with 17 beautiful beaches. At anchor, water sports. Antigua The jagged coast of this former British colony is studded with magnificent beaches. Saint-Pierre Known as the Little Paris of the French West Indies, the island was the capital of the aristocracy of the plantations until 1902, when at 7.50 on 8 May the volcano exploded and in 3 minutes St Pierre was buried under a carpet of lava. The sole survivor was a prisoner named Cyparis, protected by the heavy walls of the prison. Cyparis was pardoned. This is an emotional visit with a wealth of history. 4 Excursions of your cruise Day 3 - Sunday Virgin Gorda / Panorama (1/2 day - morning) * The local, open-top bus, will take the mountain road, giving you the most fabulous and astonishing views. You'll come to some strangely enticing geological formations called The Baths - natural pools where you can swim before going back to picnic at Fisher's Cove House. Antigua / Swim with the rays (1/2 day - afternoon) * Adrenalin guaranteed for a rendez-vous with pastenague rays. After a 30-minute bus ride and a ride in a speedboat, you'll get to Stingray City for a super, safe, sensory experience. Even non-swimmers can see these strange and gracious creatures twirling through the shallow water. Antigua / Safari and beach (1/2 day - morning) * St Pierre / Memories of times gone by (1/2 day, morning) * Martinique - 4X4 (1/2 day) * You'll discover the island off the beaten track, in a jeep. This is English countryside in the tropics, with charming, authentic hamlets and the remains of historic refineries that bear witness to the intensity of the sugar industry, before exploring some luxuriant tropical forest. You'll end the day with a swim on the magnificent Caribbean coast. Walking tour of the town: discover its intriguing past and present. Then head to the Habitation Ceron, dating from the 18th century, for a guided tour of the land and the ruins of the former sugar and cassava refinery. Discover the magical outdoors, where you can see Albizia Saman, the rain tree, which won the tree of the year award in Explore the most beautiful scenery in the whole of "Flower Island". Your driver will take you on a stunning route, featuring rainforest, rivers and plantations. Your trip will end with a visit to a distillery. Day 8 - Friday Fort de France / the Gardens of Balata (1/2 day - morning) * Flower Island presents the most beautiful show nature can offer. The Caribbean's entire bio-diversity can be seen in the Balata Gardens' unique botanical collection. The suspended bridges add perspective and astonishing sensations.
