2 CAO Comments: As part of its Public Consultation Process, Metro Vancouver is requesting input from BIM Council into the two concept options for Davies Orchard. Metro Vancouver staff will be reporting back to the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Committee at a future meeting with a recommended concept. Recommendation: 1. That Council indicate to the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Committee and staff its support for Davies Orchard Concept 1: Open Space Focus "Priority is on more open and nature experience/ programmable space. The four cottages in good condition are retained."; OR 3. NEW BUSINESS Recommendation: 2. That Council indicate to the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Committee and staff its support for Davies Orchard Concept 2: Heritage Focus "Focus given to the historic use of the site. The four cottages in good condition are retained. Two additional cottages in poor condition are upgraded." 3.1 Move to a Closed Council Meeting Recommendation: That Council move to a closed Council meeting to discuss items pursuant to Section 90(1)(i)&(k) of the Community Charter: (i) the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose; and (k) negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public. 4:15 PM (5 min) 4.
