1 Dates: [circa 1890s 1940s] Physical Extent: 594 labels; 1 CD of scanned salmon can labels Custodial History: The Vancouver Maritime Museum acquired the salmon can labels from a variety of sources over a period of years. Individual donor information is unknown. Scope and Content: The collection consists of original salmon can labels printed for packing companies along the west coast of British Columbia and Washington. Some of the labels are from companies located overseas such as C.E. Morton (New Zealand) Limited and Tokyo Food Products Limited. The collection includes labels in four sizes rectangular labels measuring 3 ¾ oz, 7 ¾ oz, and 15 ½ oz; and one round label.
