We will do our best to get Campsite assignments to leaders as quickly as possible. If you have not gotten your campsite assignment by 10:45am on Saturday, please be sure to come to the Webelos Woods Registration tent. If you are arriving Friday Night, you will already have your campsite schedule. I highly advise you to come Friday night as there may still be construction restrictions due to materials staging areas and parking will be limited. With the Fall Festival going on the same weekend, there will be a lot of congestion in the Parking lot and the Saturday schedule will be very tight.
4 The Arrow Challenge will be Klondike Style. Map and Compass AOL will be shooting a bearing from one stationary point or point to point as determined by the station leader. This will be done as a patrol and each patrol member must shoot at least one bearing heading. Fire Starting (Sustainable Fire) as determined by the station leader. Materials will be provided by the station staff must be used, everyone will have the same materials to use and each patrol member MUST attempt to start a fire. Knots Square knot, taut line hitch, and bowline. First Aid Medical Emergency Obstacle course splint a leg and carry injured to safety. All patrol members must participate. Repeat from Memory The Outdoor Code, Scout Slogan, Scout Motto, Scout Law, and Scout Oath. All patrol members must recite each one. For complete scoring details, see the Scoring Sheets in end of the flyer. All Arrows will be grouped into 5-8 person patrols of which they may or may not be from the same Pack. Webelos Scouts are doing a challenge, a challenge of skill and knowledge. We are all here to learn from one another and grow as if we were all coming together as a new patrol or Troop. Points will be scored on a 0-10 format with 10 being the highest. Each member of the highest Scoring Patrol will receive a Special Ribbon to take home and each Pack and Troop will receive a participation Ribbon to take home. Each pack will coordinate their Dinner as a Pack or with a hosting Troop. Hosting Troops, you will be responsible for allowing the pack (Webelos and Arrows only) that you host to cook at least one meal so they can meet their requirements for their rank advancement. Scoutmasters and SPL s, please contact the pack you are hosting to make arrangements for this. Packs that come without a hosting Troop are responsible for their own cooking unless other arrangements have been made. Troops working the event will be given first priority of camping spots. All Troop members working the Fall Festival or Webelos Woods event will camp for free. A roster of those Scouts working must be turned in to Jim Andrews prior to setting up in a campsite. Each Scout working the event must work at least 3 hours of the event. All additional Scouts will be charged $1 per night of camping and must be paid at time of registration/check in. Lunch will be provided for those working the event and will be limited to a maximum of 10 persons per unit.
