3 Essential Information FAQs Has the ticket system changed? Yes, in 2015 we have an airline style tickets system based on barcodes rather than pin codes, which requires individual names against every person ticket. This helps speed of entry and prevents ticket fraud, amongst other benefits. Either download the barcodes from your ticket to your phone or print them out and bring with you follow the instructions in the carefully to avoid problems. Have a query about tickets? For any ticket enquiries info@theticketsellers. co.uk or ring hours a day. Can I get cash and use my card onsite? There are cash machines near the Medical Centre open 24 hours a day onsite (please note that the charge is 3.49 we cannot avoid this unfortunately). All our main bars accept all major bank cards cards and contactless payments. Can I get supplies onsite? We have a very well stocked camp shop, and a bakery with a daily fresh offering. How can I get a program? You can buy the program onsite at the info point on entry or at the central Info Point. Our new format program( a mini listings guide and beautiful 80 page A4 almanac) package costs 8. Can I charge my phone? Yes, there are three places onsite see map for locations. Can I bring glass onsite? No, for safety reasons. We have searches on entry and will ask you to take glass back to your car or confiscate items. Can I write my number on my child s wristband? Yes, we strongly encourage this as it helps with lost kids. Remember to collect a blank wristband on arrival for your under 5s which you can write your phone number on. These are also available from the Family Yurt, Kid s Field HQ, Camp Hubs and the Information Point if you need a replacement. Also note that teens and child fabric wristbands in 2015 have QR codes associated to the responsible adult ID on our system. Please remember to add names to tickets pre-event, which really helps us contact you quickly if there are any problems. Can I Ieave and return with my vehicle during the event? 4 TRAVEL INFORMATION Gate opening times: Thursday: 14:00 to 22:00 Friday and Saturday: 09:00 to 22:00 Sunday: 09:00 to 22:00 Monday: 08:00 to 14:00 (campsites close at Midday) Gates close at 22:00 on all days. Late entries will be parked in a compound overnight. Re-entry of vehicles is not permitted. Have you got your car or camper van pass? If you are coming by car or camper van, please remember to buy a pass in advance (subject to availability). Just log in to your ticket account and add it to your order if you still need one. If you have purchased a car or van pass as part of your order, the Green Pass is for your campervan, and Blue Pass for your car. The Shuttle Bus The Big Red Shuttle Bus service runs: From Market Harborough train station to festival site: Thursday 27th: 12:00 to 21:00 Friday 28th: 11:00 to 21:00 Saturday 29th: 14:00 to 17:00 From festival site to train station: Sunday 30th: 14:00 to 17:00 Monday 31st: 08:00 to 12:00 (site closes Monday midday) Please bear with us at busy times, and leave time to make your connection. 3 per journey. CarShare Competition & Car Pass Is your car full? Could you bring someone else to the festival? We are very keen to minimise the travel impact of the festival (audience travel was 63% of our carbon footprint in 2014). So to reward those who share their car, anyone that organises a lift through our partner GoCarShare will go into a draw for 2016 tickets. What is more you will automatically get a unique forward carpark pass so you don t have as far to travel. Go to shambala Cycling There are cycing routes from London, Bristol, Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester, provided by Sustrans available on the travel page of the Shambla website. On arrival there will be a secure bike park (inside the event this year for peace of mind), a free programme on entry and discount on massages on Thursday and Friday ( 33 for one hour and 17 for 30 minutes).

5 Campsite Map Take a look at the map and choose where to camp Where to c amp Notes: Please note that those without young children are expected not to camp in Blue Family Camping, and that campers are asked to maintain buggy lanes between tents. Gazebos are allowed in Family Camping ONLY (Blue and Purple Campsites) to help families. We are strict about the gazebo ban elsewhere onsite to preserve camping space.

6 CAMPING Camp Fires Camp fires in the campsites and camper van fields are allowed! Fires must be: Off the ground (i.e. in a firewok or similar) Two metres from any tent, and three metres from any vehicle Small, attended to at all times and kept well away from gas canisters/cookers You can buy firewood at the Information tent. Keeping your stuff safe Sadly, tent thefts are increasing at events across the UK. In 2014, with the help of festival goers, we experienced very few thefts. We want to maintain our safe space, so we are continuing our successful Tent Watch campaign: will be zapped, so we can check you should be coming back in make sure you get zapped on exit or you will not gain re-entry! 5. We have a specialist campsite response team Five things you can do: 1. Don t bring unnecessary valuables 2. Use the locker service onsite to securely store valuables (details below) 3. Be sensible with your stuff in your campsite and in tents at night 4. Get to Know your neighbours. Create a community and look out for each other 5. Report ANYTHING suspicious or any thefts immediately to a steward, member of security team or Campsite Hub so we can respond quickly OR ring the onsite 24hr hotline (see program for number). Property lockers: Thursday: 14:00 to 02:00 Friday / Saturday / Sunday: 08:00 to 02:00 Monday: 08:00 to 12:00 5 per small locker and 7.50 per medium locker for the weekend. To book in advance, log into your ticket account. See map for location onsite. Keeping you and your teens safe Five things we re doing: 1. We have increased security and stewarding in all of the campsites 2. There are six Campsite Hubs (see map), which will provide a 24 hour info point and become the centre of camping neighbourhoods, ready to receive news of any tent thefts so we can act super-quickly 3. The perimeter is more secure, with more fencing, lighting, increased security and dog patrols 4. Pass out system. This year if you need to pop out to your car in the car park your wristband There have been many more reports than usual this festival season of unusual and dangerous drugs - many of these have been legal highs, a misleading term for younger people who may believe they are safer than illegal drugs. We have a no drugs policy. Please, please be a responsible guardian, and encourage your teens to be careful.

7 GREEN INITIATIVES ONSITE Bring a Bottle This year we are committed to recycling 100% of the recyclable materials on site. In order to do this, it is essential that food waste does not contaminate the dry mixed recyclables (cans, plastics etc). Please use the recycling bags and bins available. You can also collect a compost caddy from the Campsite Hubs, to store your compost during the festival (first come first served). Beautiful Campsites Shambala is such an amazing festival because people care for each, our shared surroundings and the planet. So, please keep our weekend home tidy, recycle and don t leave your tent (or anything behind). It costs lots of money that could be spent on fun things. This year we will have energetic staff in the campsites to help you remember to do the right thing! The Recycling Deposit To claim back your 10 Recycling Deposit, bring your bag of recycling (clear bag see text on the bag for what to put inside) and a bag of other waste (grey bag) to one of the two Recycling Exchanges on Sunday (10:00 to 20:00) or Monday (08:00 to 12:00). The first 700 can choose to grab a token, and come to the Information Point for an official Festival Pack with T Shirt, Calendar and CD worth 25! As part of our drive to eliminate disposable plastics from the festival, there will continue to be no bottled water or drinks for sale onsite. Please remember to bring a re-usable bottle with you and use the many taps across site. There are also a limited number of 500ml and 750ml stainless steel bottles for sale in advance (pick up on arrival) and at the FRANK Water stall onsite. All profits go to our partner charity, FRANK Water. Bar Cups All plastic bar cups onsite are re-usable, which dramatically reduces 1 disposable waste. A levy of 1 is charged on your ECO first drink, and then cup subsequent cups are Levy exchanged free of charge, or can be exchanged for a token if you don t want another drink then. Whilst this is not a deposit scheme, there will be a cup amnesty at the exit on Monday with limited edition medals available and the chance to be entered into a competition for 2016 tickets. 8 To Bring or Not To Bring Please do bring: A water bottle. We have no bottled water for sale onsite. Fancy dress for Saturday night. An instrument to strum around the fire or at the Hurley Burley and Coyote Moon open mic stages Wellies and warm stuff etc. Just in case! Please don t bring: Flares / fireworks or fire lanterns (sad we know, but cows die from eating the metal) Glass we cannot allow glass on site for safety reasons Anything to sell we don t allow fly pitching Nitrous Oxide / laughing gas (It will be confiscated) Excessive amounts of booze our bars are reasonably priced. Dogs, chimps, lizards or any other family pets. Huge Tents! We do not permit excessively large tents, as we simply do not have enough land to accommodate everyone in such large tents. Specifically on the banned list is the 8/10 berth Vango Colorado and Hi Gear Kalarhi 10 berth both very large in comparison to normal family sized tents. 5m Bell tents and similar sizes (roughly 5 x 5m) is a good guide to the limit of what we expect. Sound systems, including mini-rigs! Family Focus The Blue Camping area Young Family Camping Field is aimed at families with under 5s, and is first come first served. You can have some friends with you. The priority for this field is space for buggies between tents, quietness at night and preventing screaming babies from affecting non-family campers at the crack of dawn! Don t worry if this field is full when you arrive; there s loads of equally nice family camping in the Purple and Green Campsites. Remember to collect a blank wristband on arrival for your under 5 s which you can write your phone number on. These are also available from the Family Yurt, Kid s Field HQ, Camp Hubs and the Information Point if you need a replacement. Bringing babies or toddlers? There is a baby pit stop in the heart of the event where you can breast feed in calmness or change a nappy in the dry without having to go back to your tent see nappy symbol on the site map. The Bees Crèche may have a few sessions left if you fancy a few hours to yourself. They are offering three hour sessions for three to seven year olds.
