3 Registration & Fees Due by May 20 th, 2016 by 5pm at Scout office Cub Scouts Day Camp $45.00 Boy Scouts participating on Staff: $5.00 Cub Scouts fee includes: Wood Craft, Camp T-shirt, Patch, water bottle, program material and 3 days of pure Scouting fun! Pre-registration Knowing the number of Scouts, leaders and parents attending from each unit by prior to camp will assist in the planning and ordering of t-shirts and program supplies. Please , fax, or drop off the information on the registration form to the council office. The forms can be found in the appendix 1 & 2 of this book or on in.pdf and excel. Registration Forms Please note there are two (2) registration forms that must be filled out. One form is for Scout members (appendix A), the second form is for Adult Leaders and parents (appendix B). Knowing the number of Scouts, leaders and parents attending from each unit will assist in the planning and ordering of t-shirts and wood crafts. Please , fax, or drop off the information on the registration form to the council office. Please remember money paid for registration is Transferrable but NOT Refundable. Please make checks payable to: BSA Allohak Council If registering by mail Send to: BSA Allohak Council 1340 Juliana Street Parkersburg, WV Who Can Come to Camp All registered Webelos Scouts and Cub Scouts are encouraged to attend the day camp. Pack leaders and parents are encouraged to attend as well to help with their scout s participation in the camp activities. Please encourage your newly recruited Tiger Cubs & their adult Partners to attend as well. Please register early to help assure all scouts receive a t-shirt, patch and that there are adequate program supplies. Check-In A Muster point will be assigned a week prior to the event. You will be given a folder each day to check off attendance and return to the registration area after session#1 begins each day! No folders will be accepted before Session #1 to avoid any confusion at check-in. In the folder you will be given a map, session descriptions, schedules and important camp information. Please see your representative for this information. A responsible leader/parent is to check in your pack. On the first day for Webelos and Cub Scouts the Pack Leaders will need to turn in an up to date health form parts A and B of the Personal Health History Form for everyone in attendance at the Day Camp. Packs are responsible for any prescription medicine unless discussed with the Health Officer for Day Camp. The registration packet that you will be given each day must be turned in no later than 10am each morning. Please bring two (2) copies of the registration form which was sent to the Scout Office.

4 Check Out Pack leaders will be responsible for ensuring their scouts are picked up by the appropriate adult at the registration shelter daily. Please do not leave the Camp until your Pack has completely checked out. Health, Safety & Security All activities will follow the BSA guide to Safe Scouting. There will be no activities on or near the river and boys will need to stay away from areas that are not in use by the camp, including playground equipment. Camp Uniform Each Scout s uniform will be the Activity Uniform each Day. The Camp T-shirt will need to be worn each day. This is a requirement; if the scout forgets to bring his t-shirt then the parent will have to purchase another shirt for that day. We are using cub scout gold. The rule that will be enforced is the CAMP SHIRT MUST BE WORN IF ATTENDING DAY CAMP. Adults can also purchase t-shirts to wear for the camp. If adults are not wearing a camp T-shirt, they must be wearing a wrist band.. All participants, youth & adult, must wear close-toed shoes when walking through camp and at all activities excluding the pool area. No open-toed shoes or open-toed sandals are to be worn. Conduct Policy We are all members of the Boy Scouts of America. As such, the basic rules of conduct at Day Camp are the Cub Scout Promise, Law of the Pack, Scout Oath & Scout Law. The conduct and discipline of Scouts are the parents and leaders responsibility. The camp staff is not responsible for the discipline of any Scout (unless it is a case of imminent bodily harm or property damage). Health Forms All Scouts and Adults must have a properly completed and signed health form in order to participate in the camp program. The official Annual BSA Health & Medical Record form # is required for all participants. The form is available at the council office and can also be downloaded to your computer as a PDF file through the website: The new form is very userfriendly. The information can be saved, and thus updated as needed and printed out. Parts A and B are required for all campers, youth and adult, attending for any part of camp. This form does not require a physical or doctor s signature. Health forms are to be submitted when submitting registration for camp. Cub Scouts & adults will not be allowed to enter camp without a completed health form on file. First Aid Emergency Medical Care will be provided at our Day Camp. We will also have a Health Officer on Staff that can administer First Aid. Security Security at the Day Camp is very important. Packs are expected to be responsible, to use common sense and are accountable for their youth members. Please if you see someone who does not look like they re there participating in Our camp or looks suspicious, please report to a Staff member immediately. All adults will wear a camp hat throughout the entire camp. This includes leaders, Den walkers and any family member that is staying with their child. This will enable staff to be aware of intruders who are not wearing the bracelet. If you see someone who is not wearing a staff tee and no bracelet, we ask that you contact registration immediately.

5 What to Bring Individual Equipment Medical Form w/ Sections A and B filled out submitted prior to camp Bag Lunch Sunscreen Bug Repellent Sneakers or Hiking Boots Backpack/Day Water Bottle-filled before arriving each day Rain Coat or Poncho Hat Pack Equipment File System for all camper records & paperwork Container for youth s prescription medications (if needed) Blanket or sheet for pack to sit on for lunch Theme-related Materials Pack Camera for Photos Wagon to transport camper gear/lunches Clip Board What Not to Bring BB Guns, Bows, Arrows, Axes/Hatchets, Sheath knives, Bicycles, Electronic Toys, Fireworks, Game Systems (DS, PSP, etc.), Mobile Phones*, Matches/Lighters*, Radios, Open-Toed Shoes, things you do not want to lose and things easily damaged by moisture & weather. *indicates things that youth do not bring, but adults would be permitted to bring if needed. Camp Disclaimer Policy Neither Day Camp, Allohak Council, BSA nor its agents will be held responsible for the loss of or damage to personal or unit property and/or equipment. Smoking and Tobacco In accordance with the policies of the BSA, smoking will only be permitted in a designated area, which will be located away from and out of sight of youth members. Use of all forms of tobacco is discouraged, when in the presence of youth members. Alcohol/Controlled Substances The Boy Scouts of America prohibits the use of alcoholic beverages and controlled substances (unless properly prescribed) at camp or activities. ANYONE found improperly using alcohol/controlled substances will be escorted out of the Day Camp immediately and the local Law Enforcement Agencies will be notified. Weapons Weapons, firearms, bows and arrows are not permitted at camp. Youth will not be permitted to bring their own BB Guns or archery equipment. Anyone possessing these items will be asked to leave camp.
