4 Welcome Greetings, Congradulations on choosing Camp Merz as your summer camp destination. This guide has been esspecially crafted to help you understand the program that you are about to embark on. Within this there are descriptions of all events and details on all merit badges and awards that are offered. Please read this carefully and thoroughly. Special attention has been put on the program this year to help incorporate not only excellent merit badge sessions but also evening troop and patrol activities. These programs are designed to help assist your troop with your yearly program, not to substitute it. We encourage all troops and patrols to particitpate in all events, not just merit badges. Summer camp is a time for scouts to explore merit badges that they normally don t have access to over the course of the year. We strive to offer a variety of merit badges, both Eagle and non- Eagle required. Our overall program theme this year is Survivor, we are very excited on the programs that we have to offer and look forward to seeing you this summer! Yours in Scouting, Camp Management Camp Merz BSA Allegheny Highlands Council, Inc. 3
