Our products are assembled in a class 10,000 clean room using components from approved suppliers. 3 Storage Pots for Tissue Grafts Medfor s range of pots for the storage of various human tissue types are all CE-marked and conform to Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC /47/EC. All products in this leaflet are single- or double-bagged in pouches that exceed the requirements of EN868-5 (seal strength) and consist of printed PeelClean paper and a clear PET/PE film, which allows excellent visibility of the contents. The pouches have a peel-back aperture which makes them easy to open, allowing the contents to be placed on a sterile theatre field in an aseptic manner. The products are sterilised either by gamma irradiation (R) or by ethylene oxide gas (EO). Products sterilised by EO can be re-sterilised by the customer at a later stage using gamma irradiation. As well as being single- or double-bagged, the contents of each case are, for gamma irradiated products, sealed within two polythene bags or for EO sterilised products, packed within a polythene bag. Each pack bears a sterility indicator and is labelled with the lot number and expiry date. This information is repeated on a peeloff section of the label which can be stuck to audit or patient records (see opposite). 5 Tissue Storage Kits Tissue Storage Kits provide a double container system where applications require this. These products consist of a pot that fits within a larger pot. The tissue is placed within the inner pot which is sealed with the cap and then placed within the outer pot, also sealed with its own cap.
