2 2018 P A L O O Z A P L A N N E R P a g e 2 Registration Work Weekend Registration Work Weekend Dates: April & May 4-6 Work Weekend registration is available at campharvest.com/actlikemenpalooza. The cost of a cabin is $20. The cost of the Meal Plan is $25. Meals include 1 heavy snack on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. Work Weekend Registration is required for those who choose to participate. This registration allows us to monitor/check-in approved visitors into the Main Camp Entrance. Palooza Registration All Men are required to meet one of the below qualifications in order to attend the Palooza. Palooza qualifications: o ALM Night Attendance (Specified by your church) o Read the ALM book and complete the ALM Bible Study Guide Palooza registration is open March 11 - June 7, online at campharvest.com/actlikemenpalooza. Registration closes on June 7 at 12:00 PM CST. Every individual attending the Palooza event must be registered in advance of the event. You may register others at the same time, but all registrations made together must be paid together, whether that is another adult or a son. You will be asked to identify your campsite leader s name at registration. You must personalize your experience by selecting a vest option and meal option. There is a $10 deposit at registration. There are 2 payment options: pay in full or payment plan. If you have a registration issue, contact almpalooza@harvestbiblechapel.org. Individual ALM Palooza registration kits (i.e. vests, patches, pins) are packed according to information you provide in your registration. Father & Son Eligible men as defined above may bring their sons to ALM Palooza under the following conditions: Son must be a high school or college student living under your roof and under your authority. Son must submit a letter of why he wants to attend ALM Palooza to almpalooza@harvestbiblechapel.org by May 6. Son must be at least 14 years of age by Friday, June year old sons must stay with father/guardian at all times. 15 year old sons must stay with father/guardian at all times until the rite of passage ceremony. Meal Plan The cost of the meal plan is $25 per person and includes Friday and Saturday dinners. Men who register for the meal plan will be given two tokens at registration. Those tokens can be exchanged for a dinner at one of the Campsite Chef locations throughout the territories. Campsite Chefs will prepare Friday and Saturday dinners for a group of men. They will determine their menu, cook and serve food to men who come to their site and exchange a meal token. Prior to the Palooza, the Campsite Chefs will receive payment to cover the cost of the

3 2018 P A L O O Z A P L A N N E R P a g e 3 groceries and materials. All tokens received must be turned in at the close of the Palooza for an accurate count of how many meals were served. Campsite Chefs may also submit a meal for the cooking competition on Saturday to be crowned the Palooza s Greatest Chef and win points for their territory. Those interested in being a Campsite Chef should contact almpalooza@harvestbiblechapel.org. Arrival / Check-In Procedures You may arrive and set up camp during daylight hours between 12:00 PM EST on Tuesday, June 5 and 6:00 PM EST on Friday, June 8. Note the time change from CST to EST results in the loss of 1 hour during travel. Late Arrivals Notify your campsite leader if you arriving past 6:00 PM EST on Friday, June 8 as the gate will be locked. Vehicles, Gear Transport & Parking Vehicles Cars/Trucks will not be allowed in the campsite area from Friday 2:00 PM EST through Sunday 1:00 PM EST. Transport will be running from the parking lot to campsites during this period. RV/Camper/Pop Up/Motor Coaches are allowed but must be placed by 12:00 PM EST Friday. Campers up to 30ft in length or less are allowed. Anything larger needs to park in the designated RV parking area. ATV s are allowed. They may be ridden only on the groomed path at no more than 10mph or in the ATV riding areas during designated hours. Any violation of speed or riding area will: o 1 st time: warning will be issued o 2 nd time: sent home or forfeit usage of vehicle for duration of event Gear Transport Transport of you and your gear will be provided from the parking lot to the designated drop off points. Parking Lot All cars and trucks must be parked in designated area during the event. No parking outside of specified area. Parking lot will be a secured and monitored area during event and may not be entered.

5 2018 P A L O O Z A P L A N N E R P a g e 5 Campsites Campsite locations will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. The first men to arrive for the work weekends will choose their site location first. If you wish to change your existing campsite, please almpalooza@harvestbiblechapel.org. Campsite clearing is to be done on work weekends. Bring tools to take down brush and select trees less than 6in diameter, dig fire pit, etc. No electricity is provided onsite. Tent campsites are approximately 30ft x 30ft and can accommodate 5-8 men in 3-5 tents. Campsites may have platforms or other structures built upon them which meet these conditions: o Need to be made with treated lumber and free standing o Structures cannot be permanent Generators may be used and must be placed at least 50ft from tent campsites. o Structures intended to remain after the event must have prior approval contact Joe Nelson joenelson@harvestbiblechapel.org. There is a noise curfew ending at 7:00 AM EST and beginning at 11:00 PM EST, this includes generators. Firepits May have a 3ft x 3ft fire pit lined with stone or other border material Fires should facilitate cooking and conversation Firewood will be provided and should be shared openly All fires to be fully extinguished before leaving camp on Sunday Trash Bring your own supply of trash bags Trash should be deposited in plastic bags and placed at the road each night for pick up by 10:00 PM EST Trash and food should never be left outside overnight (trailers will pick up at 10:00 PM EST) Gear Prohibited Items NO pets NO fireworks or explosives NO Alcohol NO firearms
