2 What is Webelos Woods? Webelos Woods is a unique opportunity for Cub Scouts to experience the outdoors at Camp Morrison in McCall, Idaho. Webelos Woods supports the purposes of the Boy Scouts of America: character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. While achievements are earned at these camps, the primary focus is having FUN in the outdoors. Highlights include BB Guns, Archery, Slingshot, Campfire Program, Climbing Wall (June) and Waterfront (August). REGISTRATION Steps to Success 1- Complete Registration Fill out Pack Registration Form. One BSA registered adult must have current Youth Protection Training (YPT) prior to camp. We encourage all adults to take the online Youth Protection Training prior to attending camp. Enter t-shirt sizes for all Scouts and Adults Enter Program Option A or B (Program B will be limited to 24 scouts) To determine Gold Card status, contact your Pack Scouting Leadership or District Executive. 2- Fees Webelos Woods fees include a camp T-shirt, participation patch, meals and all materials for each participant. JUNE Camp fees are $90 per participant before 5pm on April 13, 2018, $100 after April 13, 2018 AUGUST Camp fees are $90 per participant before 5pm on June 22, 2018, $100 after June 23, 2018 Gold Card packs receive a $15 discount per participant if paid by early pay deadline Fees are transferable, but not refundable. Make checks payable to: BSA 3- Take Registration Form and Payment to the Scout Office EVERYONE in camp must complete the Annual BSA Health & Medical Form, 2014 printing, Parts A (one page) and B (two pages) and bring a copy to camp. Doctor s physical and insurance cards are not required. All payments should be made at the Scout Office to complete registration prior to camp. 4- Important Points All scouts must be registered in The Boy Scouts of America prior to camp. Whether you plan to carpool or meet at camp, please follow these guidelines so everyone arrives safely: Make sure everyone knows what your plan is. Parents, Leaders and Scouts need to know where to meet and what time. Use caution and stay alert in Risk Zones (entrances, exits and parking areas) All Scouts and volunteers must wear seat belts when riding in any vehicle. Scouts are not allowed to travel in the backs of trucks or campers. Directions to Camp Morrison Camp Morrison is about 3.5 Miles from McCall, on the East side of the Payette Lake. From Boise, drive to McCall, Idaho. (About two and a half hours) Turn right off the main street (Hwy 55) at May Hardware on Park Street. Drive to Davis Avenue and turn left. Drive down Davis past the Golf Course. Just past the Golf Course turn right on Lick Creek Road. Continue on Lick Creek Road until you reach a Y in the road and bear left onto Eastside Drive. Continue down Eastside Drive until you reach Camp Morrison. (About one mile)

3 The Buddy System Please enforce the Buddy System at camp! No scout is allowed to go anywhere without another scout or buddy, this includes the restroom and the Trading Post. Please discuss the Buddy System with your scouts and all leaders before coming to camp. This will help keep your scout safe. Health Emergencies Stop life-threatening dangers to keep victim from further harm. Notify Camp Health Officer and Camp Director, they will immediately contact parents/guardians. Early Departure The Camp Director must sign out EVERYONE who needs to leave EARLY. Early is considered any time before closing ceremonies. The adult picking up a scout should be listed in the early release section of the Health and Medical form. Trading Post We will have a Trading Post where snack foods, candy, cold drinks, snow cones, Camp Morrison T- shirts and Scout Souvenirs can be purchased. What do the scouts LEARN at The Trading Post??? They learn decision-making skills, responsibility, honesty, budgeting, math, integrity, delayed gratification, timemanagement, and so much more! The Trading Post is an important and exciting part of camp for the scouts! We recommend that every scout have money to spend at the Trading Post. Proceeds from the Trading Post help keep the costs of camp down. Recommended spending money is $15. Electronic Distractions The Camp Director will have a phone available for emergencies only. All adults are requested to leave their personal cell phones off and refrain from use while at camp. Scouts bringing cell phones will be asked to leave them with their leaders while at camp. Please leave all other electronic devices at home. Medicine and First Aid We will check the Health and Medical Record form upon check-in. Please inform Camp Staff of any conditions we need to know about (medications, allergies, ADD/ADHD, hearing aids, etc.) ALL medications at camp need to be in the original containers, labeled with name and pack number. These need to be secured in a LOCKBOX (locked car) or turned over to the Health Officer at check-in. Rescue inhalers and Epi-pens may remain with participants, but must be reported to the Health Officer. Report ALL injuries to the Camp Health Officer, no matter how small they may be. NEVER send a boy to the First Aid Station alone. Use the Buddy System at all times at camp. We want your scouts and leaders to be safe and healthy at camp. Emergency Procedures Listen for the alarm. It is the signal for emergency. Gather at the parade grounds area and specific instructions will be given. Severe Weather Electrical Storm: Stay away from trees and buildings, take scouts quickly to your cars. Severe Rain or Hail: Take cover in nearest shelter or take scouts to your cars and wait for directions from Camp Director. Winds: Stay away from trees and get into an open area. Lost Boy Send an adult to contact the Camp Director. Search in the most likely places: restrooms, vehicles, trading post, etc. Follow the directions of the Camp Director. Praise and Discipline When you see a boy do something good, praise him openly in front of the group. When you see a boy behaving inappropriately, take him aside and talk to him about his behavior. Make sure you are out of earshot, but within sight of others. Please do not belittle or embarrass him. If he continues to misbehave, contact the Camp Director. Remember to maintain 2-deep leadership at all times. CAMPING Camp Morrison is a rustic campground in the forest. You will need to bring your own tent and sleeping gear. Vault-toilets are located in each campsite and one flush toilet is available next to the Trading Post for adults and special needs youth. Outdoor showers with heated water are also available. Plan to dress in layers according to the weather. June is generally rainy and August is dusty. Bring firewood if you want a campfire. All meals will be provided.

This is a great option for 1 st Year Webelos or Those needing to work on Webelos Badge C Archery C BB Gun C Slingshot C Cast Iron Chef (1/2 Day Class) C Walkabout (1/2 Day Class) SURVIVOR a variety of skills, challenges, and LOTS of fun that will cover many Webelos Adventures (These activities will be modified but still full of adventure) OUTDOOR CODE As an American, I will do my best to - Be clean in my outdoor manners.
