3 MILITARY POLICE SureLock Waist Belt (Model: SLMP) The SureLock M&P Waist Belt comes standard in the SureLock Full Restraint System (SLMP1). The cut-resistant belt is secured in the back using a proprietary lockable Main Buckle. Two hand restraint tethers embedded with two stainless steel cords and a proprietary UniLock mechanism allow for one-way restricted movement. All locks are released with a standard handcuff key. The Waist Belt enables an escorting Officer to control a Subject s movement while allowing the Subject enough movement to be fingerprinted, use the bathroom facilities, eat, and/or perform other required movements for transport and/or processing. The restraint enables an escorting Officer total control over a Subject s mobility without limiting a normal stride, yet can be quickly retracted by pulling the red handle to safely control movement. The restraint can be adjusted to allow a Subject to sit while limiting the ability to get up. A Subject can also be restrained to the point of immobility. The unit is designed for single-leg use, but can be adjusted to fit both ankles. Two embedded stainless steel cords makes this leg restraint cut resistant. Export of restraining equipment from the United States without a valid export permit issued by the U.S. Department of State, Office of Defense Trade Controls is strictly prohibited. The SureLock family of restraining devices requires an export license issued by the U.S. Government. This process takes LTL Vantage four to six weeks to obtain approval from various agencies.
