1 Installation Instructions EPK12, EPK16, EPK20 & EPK24 Entrance Panels 2) Mount brass Extension Bars to Interior Ground Bar using hardware provided. Figure #3. EPK12 Figure #1: Assembled Entrance Panel NOTE: EPK panels are shipped in a master package that contains two boxes. One contains components for Shelter Installation and the other for Field Installation. EPK12 is shown for illustrative purposes. SHELTER INSTALLATION 1) Predrill (2) 1 diameter through holes approximately 6 below the opening for the waveguide entry panel. Holes should be centered underneath entry panel. Figure #2. 2 5) When installed the Exterior Ground Bar will extend between 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 from the shelter depending on wall thickness. Figure #5. 3 2A) Loosen fasteners holding Flat Strap Ground Clamps to Exterior Ground Bar enough to apply Antioxidant Joint Compound (supplied) to the inside of the Clamps and to the Ground Bar. Unroll Ground Straps and pull them up through the Clamps and Ground Bar. Tighten Clamps securing the Ground Straps. Cut off any excess Strap. Figure #9. 4A) Fasten Ground Straps to side of shelter using channel support (EPKPPCST) and appropriate fasteners (EPKPPCST and fasteners not included). Figure #11. Protective Plastic Channel Support (EPKPPCST) Flat Strap Ground Clamp Ground Plate Assembly Figure #9: Ground Strap Attachment 3A) Connect the #2 AWG solid tinned tails of the Ground Plate Assembly to the #2 solid tinned ground ring using a #BS2SB Ultraweld mold with a UWM32 weld metal.
