1 NWTA INDIVIDUAL INSPECTION FORM (IIF) Name: Unit: Last Updated: Please list separately all items worn or seen by the public. Describe the item(s) fully (style, fabric, color, etc.) Use as many pages as necessary. Please do not write in the Inspector s Column. That area is reserved for the inspection team. You may type directly into this form; boxes will expand as you type. You may also print the form and handwrite. CLOTHING Describe any and all items worn. Please consider the following categories: Headgear (includes all hats, helmets, caps, coifs, head scarves, etc.) Shirts/Chemises or shifts Stays or jumps Gowns (includes nightgowns, sacks, robes etc.) Coats/Jackets (includes jackets, hunting shirts or frocks, shortgowns, bedgowns, caracos regimental coats, etc.) Aprons/Pockets Waistcoats Handkerchiefs Belts Neck stocks (include method of closing) Breeches/Trousers/Petticoats (includes all other lower body garments, including kilts) Stockings/Garters/Gaiters/Leggings/Spatterdashes. Footwear (includes shoes, boots, moccasins, pattens, etc.) Overcoats/Capotes/Cloaks/Capes/Shawls Items of Personal Adornment (include rank distinctions, eye glasses, jewelry, and pocket watches) Unless otherwise documented, women need at least one item from each of the following categories: headgear, shifts/chemise, petticoat, stockings, footwear, and a jacket or gowns. Unless otherwise documented, non-uniformed males need at least one item from each of the following categories: headgear, shirt, waistcoat, coat, breeches, stockings, and footwear. Ideally, housebroken children require the same items as their adult counterparts with the exception of coats for boys. Infants should have at least headgear and shirt/shift. 5 WEAPONS/TOOLS Please consider the following categories: Firearms (includes sling, hammerstall) Canteens (include carriage) Haversacks/Packs Sidearms (includes bayonets, knives, swords, halberds, spontoons) Sidearm carriage - includes scabbard, buckles, etc. Cartridge Boxes/Shot Pouches - include carriage and buckles. 7 CAMP GEAR Describe any and all individually owned or used camp gear that is visible to the public. Any camp gear owned or used by the unit as a whole should be listed on the General Impression Reference Form (GIRF). Please note, if your unit did not have a camp item for the period you are portraying, you are not restricted from using such an item provided it is documented for the period. For example, if historically your unit did not use tents but you would like to use tents at events, the tents you use should be documented for the period even if they are not documented for your unit. Likewise, tables, chairs, cookware, fire irons, and other camp equipment should be documented for the period if they are visible to the public. Please consider the following categories: Canvas (tents, dining fly, bell of arms, marquees, etc): Furniture (tables, seating, etc) Campaign boxes, crates, etc. Fire irons and other fire equipment Cookware, eating ware, and drink ware (pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, mugs, etc) Buckets DESCRIPTION INSPECTOR S COLUM
