2 Windward Difference Attention to Detail ^ Internally reinforced extrusions ^ The all new Malibu Sling MGP collection! Domestic Aluminum Windward uses the highest quality materials available for outdoor furniture manufacturing. All of our aluminum furniture is manufactured with commercial-grade, domestically milled, extruded aluminum. Many of Windward s extrusions are proprietary and have internal reinforcing ribs to provide the additional strength expected when purchasing quality, domestically manufactured furniture. To ensure lasting color and quality, our frames are sandblasted to create an ideal bonding surface. This preparation ensures your powder coat frame finish will not peel or chip. It is also an environmentally friendly alternative to other frame preparations used by other manufacturers. Marine Grade Polymer In 2012 Windward proudly introduced marine grade polymer (MGP) into its product lineup. Since then it has expanded it s offering to include four more collections. MGP is a domestically made material that was originally designed to hold up in salt water environments on boats without fading or breaking down. It is a durable material that gives furniture substantial weight, a great option for windy environments. MGP products are available in three different frame colors that will not fade or breakdown in harsh environments. Commercial Having built its roots in the commercial industry, Windward knows what it takes to build a product capable of seeing high traffic. Sunbrella Rain Waterproof Fabrics Windward offers Sunbrella Rain waterproof performance fabrics in over twenty-five fabrics. Wicker Windward wicker collections are made from high quality synthetic wicker. This extruded resin is made with mildew deterrents, UV inhibitors to protect against sun damage and is water resistant. The color can be found throughout and will not fade. Each collection has it s own unique multi-toned, textured, natural look. They are made with fully welded powder coated aluminum frames and a durable vinyl seat support. Wicker frames are imported, all cushions are made to order at our factory in Sarasota, FL. Padded Slings Padded slings combine the low maintenance of a sling with the comfort of a cushion. It is an affordable alternative to cushion furniture, while not relinquishing the many cushion fabric design options. Padded slings use a sling fabric on the back, which makes up the support of the chair and a cushion fabric (or sling) on the front. Nonabsorbent polyester is used in between the two as the padding. Polyester is mold & mildew resistant and also allows water to drain right through, giving your padded sling a quick drying time. Cut Yardage Programs In addition to our extensive collection of high quality fabrics we are proud to also offer the Sunbrella, Twitchell, Bella Dura and Outdura cut yardage programs. In 1991, he was able to move the business from his backyard to a 12 x 24 storage unit located in Bradenton, FL, where his manufacturing equipment grew to include a diacro hand bender, a chop saw, a drill press, and a welder. David was still the company s only employee. As the business and reputation progressed, David began manufacturing raw frames and component parts for other manufacturers and refinishers throughout Florida. Five years later, and a few factory moves across town, Peace purchased a small powder coating system and he began selling powder coated frames. The company s payroll increased to include about twenty employees and the business expanded to manufacturing complete strap furniture, earning the company a strong reputation for providing quality commercial grade furniture. In 1997, The Windward Design Group was born as a sister company to Royal Patio. That first year, Windward developed the first sling style dining chair and began selling them to retailers across Florida. The factory soon grew to include a sewing room, allowing the expansion of the furniture line to include cushion-style seating. By 2002, Windward was manufacturing eighteen different collections of furniture, including deep seating, cushion dining, sling and strap styles. In 2006, the line increased to include padded sling. A couple of years later, Windward launched the Replacement Cushion Division. Now the Windward product offering includes two wicker collections and six marine grade polymer collections. Today, Windward Design Group operates in Sarasota, FL, where they produce over thirty-five collections, a full line of replacement cushions and employ over one hundred and thirty people. David Peace is still the President and two of his five children work by his side as well as his son-in-law. Although many things have changed the business culture has remained the same. Double stitched using the industries top marine grade, UV resistant thread. Nonabsorbent polyester provides the cushion for padded slings. Water will drain right through, giving them a quick drying time. 75 Residential Warranty Warranty Windward Design Group offers the following consumer warranty to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. The consumer warranty is not valid for product used in a commercial application. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase to the original purchaser only. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt with purchase date) is required and photos may also be required to file a claim. Frames Windward Design Group warrants all aluminum frames against defects in material and workmanship for fifteen (15) years from original date of purchase. Cast table tops and cast table base skirts are warranted for three (3) years against manufacturing defects. If your frame fails structurally during normal use, Windward Design Group will repair or replace (at the manufacturer s discretion) the frame with the same product and frame, at no cost. If the product or frame finish has been discontinued, a similar item will be used. This includes labor during the first twelve (12) months. Note: Glide replacement is a necessary function in maintaining the furniture and should be accomplished on an annual basis, or more frequently, depending on the level of usage. Replacement glides are available for purchase from Windward. Wicker Furniture Wicker aluminum frames are warranted for ten (10) years against defects in materials and workmanship. The resin wicker is warranted for three (3) years against discoloration and breakage. Glass table tops that come standard with wicker tables are not covered in this warranty. Marine Grade Polymer All marine grade polymer furniture frames and tabletops are warranted for fifteen (15) years against material defects, discoloration or cracking and are warranted for five (5) years against workmanship and structural failure. Vinyl Straps Windward Design Group warrants vinyl straps against breakage and rivet failure for three (3) years. Not covered is damage resulting from suntan lotions, bleach, solvents, strong chemicals, or the natural fading and normal wear and tear. POWDer COATed Frame Finishes The powder coated frame finishes on all Windward furniture frames and table bases are warranted against cracking, peeling, or blistering for fifteen (15) years. Cast aluminum table tops are warranted against cracking, peeling, or blistering for a period of three (3) years. Not covered is damage caused by the use of pressure washers, abrasive cleaners, bleach or other harmful chemicals. Natural fading and wear and tear from normal usage is expected and is not covered in this warranty. Minor variations in color and texture of finishes is not covered under this warranty. Slings, Padded Slings, Cushions, UmbreLLAS and PILLOWS Slings, padded slings, cushions, umbrellas and pillows are warranted for one (1) year from date of original purchase against manufacturing defects. This includes the fabric/ sewing integrity and cushion/pad fill. Fading and or stretching resulting from normal usage are not covered by this warranty. Failure caused by fire, freight damage or acts of nature (such as, not limited to, freezing, high winds or animal defecation) Commercial usage (i.e.: use in a rental unit, or public location) Damage caused by suntan oil, bleach or any other abrasive cleaners or chemicals.
