Bible - paper version only bedding and a pillow towels, toiletries flashlight, camera swimsuit jacket sports clothes for activities nice casual clothes for informal services at least one old pair of tennis shoes. Please note that an ATM is available on the campsite for your convenience. Ladies/girls note: Please bring knee-length skirts or dresses for the evening services (slits must not come above the knee). Any fashion worn must come at least to the top of the knee and cover the shoulders. Low necklines (front or back) are not acceptable camp attire. Loose-fitting pants, jeans, or knee- length fashions may be worn except when otherwise specified. Swimsuits should be one-piece and lined. Men/boys note: Long pants/jeans and collared shirts are required for evening services. Fashions to the knee may be worn at other times. THE WILDS reserves the right to ask anyone to change his or her outfit if, in the estimation of the staff, it does not comply with these standards.
5 DO NOT BRING: Alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, fireworks, water guns, or any kind of weapon *Parents will be called and you will be asked to leave the camp immediately* Please Note: Please be encouraged to leave ipods, CD players, play station portables or other gaming devices at home. If they are brought, they can only be used on the drive to and from camp. Students must be responsible for keeping up with such items. If such items become a distraction at camp they will be confiscated, returned to Pastor Mark, and then Pastor Mark will give items to parents upon returning. *Cell Phones are ok to bring. However, they will be collected on Monday by Mark and the student will receive them again on Saturday. Parents can contact Mark for any emergencies and the student will be notified. 6 Money Questions Your Youth should have money for the following: Lunch for Monday - on the trip down Spending money (for the Snack Shop, General Store, coffee shop, Paintball, and Craft Shop) Lunch on the return trip for Saturday Youth are responsible for their own money Camp nurse: A registered nurse will be on duty at all times. Special instructions will be given at camp for those taking medications. For the protection of the campers, we are unable to retain campers with contagious conditions such as chickenpox or lice. The camp has a "nit-free" policy. All campers need to be checked for lice prior to arrival at camp, and only those campers who are "nit-free" should be allowed to come. Meals: All meals are included in the price of the camping program. Those on special diets must bring their own necessary supplements.
7 Discipline at Camp: We believe that consistency, follow-through, and positive relationship building are essential to disciplining students. Most students are able to choose appropriate behavior when given clear expectations and consistent follow-through. Parents, please share these expectations with your student before they arrive for the trip. TCBC s Expectations for Students:! I will have a positive attitude! I will make good choices! I will be responsible! I will be respectful! I will be a kind friend Below are the methods that chaperones may use to discipline students who do not follow the expectations: 1. Redirect student to a more positive behavior 2. Remind student of the expectations 3. Take away any object or activity that might be causing the problem 4. Take away privileges 5. Call parents to come pick up student. The Wilds Christian conduct: As a Christian organization, THE WILDS maintains high standards of conduct and separation. Separate swim times are scheduled for male and female campers. Campers who use tobacco, alcohol, or any form of illegal drugs will be dismissed. Any noncooperative or noncompliant campers will be subject to dismissal.
