2 OVERVIEW The Recirculating Freshwater Flush Conversion Kit is a customer retrofit for the ELITE portable restroom models. It converts a standard (non-recirculating) clean water flush to a (recirculating) waste water flush; decreasing the need to service (refill the fresh water tank) as regularly. The conversion requires the unit to be cleaned and partially disassembled, with a number of new components added to the underside and interior of the waste storage tank. A -/4-Inch hollow core bit will be required to drill out new bulkhead (PART #) holes in the exterior of the storage tank; 4 new hoses will be attached to the bulheads, as well as four /4 holes drilled into the front side of the tank for fastening the two-way water shut off valve (PART #). 3 FRESH WATER TANK UNDERSIDE OF TANKS & SKID. PREPARE the unit for disassembly by cleaning it thoroughly; next, it is important to partialy disassemble the units Storage Tanks (FRESH WATER TANK, WASTE STORAGE TANK) and SKID then reorient them so the underside is facing up; finally, detach the floor panel from SKID to locate the flow assembly.. DISASSEMBLE the LEFT hose which connects the STEP PUMP to the FRESH WATER TANK. It may require cutting the hose off. See dashed squares in Diagram. FRESHWATER ADAPTER EDGE FRESHWATER ADAPTER b. ATTACH 0. FT HOSE (PART #) to the FRESHWATER TANK adapter & FT HOSE (PART #) to the STEP PUMP adapter. Ensure you attach and tighten the hoses with the HOSE CLAMPS (PART #) over thier repective adapters. See dashed squares in Diagram.. LOCATING DIMPLES.. LOCATE the centering hole DIMPLE (sunken) in the exterior of the WASTEWA- TER STORAGE TANK, to the left of the FRESHWATER TANK adapter. See Diagram. b b. DRAW a second dimple approximately. INCHES inches south from locating DIMPLE. If your unit has no dimples, locate it by aligning the first DIMPLE hole with the FRESHWATER TANK Adapter edge and then drawing on a DIMPLE inches south of the FRESHWATER TANK EDGE, and the second hole by adding another. INCHES. See Diagram b. 4. DRILL holes, centered on the DIMPLES using a -/4-Inch hollow core bit. See Diagram b P / N 00-KIT REV. / 4b. CLEAR holes of debris and rough edges so the BULKHEADS (PART #) fit securley. See Diagram 4b. PG OF

4 c UNDERSIDE OF TANKS & SKID UPPER. INSTALL BULKHEADS (PART #).You will need to reach into the Interior of the tank and push the threads out to the exterior underside. See Diagram. INTERIOR OF WASTE STORAGE TANK EXTERIOR OF WASTE STORAGE TANK b LOWER b. FASTEN BULKHEAD (PART #) washers and cap from the exterior of the WASTE STOR- AGE TANK. Ensure you tighten the BULKHEAD caps fully. c. FASTEN x MALE ELBOWS (PART #) to the Interior of the WASTE STORAGE TANK. Ensure you tighten the ELBOWS fully to the BULKHEADS. FASTEN x MALE ELBOW (PART #) to the UPPER BULKHEAD, on the exterior of the WASTE STORAGE TANK. Ensure you tighten the ELBOW fully to the BULKHEAD. FASTEN x MALE ADAPTER (PART #) to the LOWER BULKHEAD, on the exterior of the WASTE STORAGE TANK. Ensure you tighten the ADAPTER fully to the BULKHEAD. b. ATTACH 0. FT HOSE (PART #) & FT HOSE (PART #) to their respective adapters. Ensure you attach and tighten the hoses with the HOSE CLAMPS (PART #) over the adapters.. REATTACH the floor panel to the SKID..
