2 REFRIGERATION SPECIALIST Tecumseh University utilizes purpose-built facilities in Tupelo, Mississippi and Ann Arbor, Michigan to provide the training, education and the hands-on experience necessary for key individuals from your organization to become a Tecumseh Refrigeration Specialist. Refrigeration Specialist will play an essential role in our partnership with authorized wholesalers, focusing primarily on enriching their knowledge of refrigeration systems and extending that knowledge to others in their organization. The net result is that your organization will be better equipped to support commercial refrigeration contractors. Targeted Refrigeration Specialists should be individuals who are an essential element of your organization s refrigeration growth strategy. In order to support our mutual growth initiatives, Tecumseh has made substantial investments in the training facility, course curriculum and supporting course materials and equipment. We are excited and committed to developing Refrigeration Specialists. Twenty nine (29) Refrigeration Specialist sessions have been conducted since Fall 2012, and we are pleased to offer additional sessions during Spring Training and Education for Certified Refrigeration Specialist

3 OPEN ENROLLMENT: SPRING 2018 Two sessions of the Refrigeration Specialist course are offered. The Refrigeration Specialist course focuses primarily on expanding the individual s refrigeration system and application knowledge, as well as acquainting them with Tecumseh s various product selection tools. Course Details Tuition cost: $790 + airfare to/from Memphis, Tennessee or Detroit, Michigan. All ground transportation, hotel, meals and activities are covered in tuition cost, plus Tecumseh contribution ($790 student cost approved for 100% Advantage Partner Co-Op fund use.) 4 REFRIGERATION SPECIALIST Wholesale personnel who successfully complete Tecumseh University s Specialist Course, 3+ days (combination in-class and hands-on) course will: Gain an increased understanding of refrigeration fundamentals Expand their refrigeration system and application knowledge, improving their troubleshooting skills Learn to apply the latest tools to identify and select compressors, condensing units and electrical components Deepen their knowledge of Tecumseh s product offerings, product nomenclature and technical documentation Students attending the Refrigeration Specialist course should have a basic knowledge of refrigeration principles and concepts. 5 EXPAND YOUR COMMERCIAL REFRIGERATION KNOWLEDGE Tecumseh s Refrigeration Specialist course is designed to expand the knowledge of refrigeration systems and the various end-use equipment where Tecumseh compressors and condensing units are applied. Through a combination of in-class instruction and hands-on teaching, participants will learn about web-based selection tools and information available to better serve their refrigeration contractors. Additionally, students will get a close look at the inside of a refrigeration compressor to gain a better understanding of how misapplication can shorten compressor life. 5 - Training and Education for Certified Refrigeration
