1 PARK HOST RESPONSIBILITIES Cedar Point Recreation Area, Gloster Recreation Area, Grelle Recreation Area, Jessica Hollis Park, Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area, Shaffer Bend Recreation Area and Turkey Bend Recreation Area Primary Responsibilities Provide helpful information to ensure customer satisfaction. Clean restrooms and restock toilet paper or supplies as needed. Help maintain park by performing light maintenance, pick up litter, clean and resupply restrooms/showers, daily checks on campsites to ensure they are clean for next guest. Report safety hazards & maintenance concerns to LCRA Parks staff. As equipment is available, perform minor mowing and weed trimming in established user areas and around the entrance to the park. Restock the self-pay honor box with envelopes for paying customers. Understand and explain the park rules and regulations to guests but do not enforce. Be accessible to customers to provide general assistance and answer questions, as well as receive complaints and comments. All complaints and comments should be communicated to LCRA Parks Superintendent or their designee as soon as possible. Other projects may be assigned based on site needs and hosts skills and interests. If you observe any vandalism or violations of LCRA Land and Water Use Regulations or public safety issues, contact the LCRA Rangers ( ). For all life-threatening situations and emergencies, please call , LCRA Public Safety number. They will dispatch all emergency personnel needed to respond to an emergency. Restroom cleaning procedures Park Hosts will perform daily maintenance of the restrooms each morning and throughout the day. The restrooms are to be checked in the morning for toilet paper and hand towels and cleaned at a convenient time. Disinfect restrooms thoroughly every three days and sign the log sheet inside the supply cabinet door. Sweep ceilings, ledges, lights, corners, underside of counters or seats to catch all of the spider webs. Sweep the floors. Fill toilet paper dispensers. Wipe down the shower walls, benches and shower curtains with disinfectant. Clean walls when needed. Clean sinks and counters with disinfectant. Clean mirrors with glass cleaner. For toilets, clean the bowl with Comet and a toilet brush. Disinfect toilet seat underneath and on the top and clean between the seat and the wall.

5 PARK HOST RESPONSIBILITIES Pedernales River Nature Park Primary Responsibilities Open park gate at 6:30 a.m. and close park gate at 9:30 p.m. each day (closing hours are adjusted as seasons dictate). Inspect and clean the public restrooms (or portable toilets) a minimum of two times per day, remove loose litter and restock toilet paper or supplies as needed. Perform mowing and weed trimming in established areas and around the park entrance. Answer questions from day-use visitors regarding the park. Keep the park grounds relatively free of litter. Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns to LCRA Parks staff. If you observe any vandalism or violations of LCRA Land and Water Use Regulations or public safety issues, contact the LCRA Rangers ( ). You can also contact the Blanco County Sheriff s Office for additional law enforcement needs. FOR ALL LIFE THREATING SITUATIONS AND EMERGENCIES, PLEASE CALL 911. In any event and as early as possible contact LCRA s Public Safety Dispatch Center for coordination and processing of all emergency services and park violations. Laundry room cleaning procedures Park Hosts will perform daily maintenance of the laundry room each morning. Check and clean dryer lint screens Sweep walls and behind machines to remove spider webs. Wipe down outside of washers and dryers with damp cloth. Wipe down table with disinfectant. Wipe down inside of washers between the rubber gaskets with vinegar. Make sure washer doors and soap dispensers are left open. Empty trash and replace bag when needed. Sweep floor and mop with Comet when needed. Clean windows with glass cleaner when needed. Clean door inside and out with glass cleaner when needed. Check and replace ice as it is used from the chest freezer. 9 PARK HOST RESPONSIBILITIES McKinney Roughs Nature Park Primary Responsibilities Secure buildings daily Close equestrian entry gates at Pope Bend and Hwy 71 trailheads and the park entrance gate as requested Set building alarms nightly Greet visitors and direct them to dorms when requested Collect trash around buildings as noticed Clean and restock restrooms at challenge course Make sure restrooms are stocked in all facilities Helping to manage campfires for small rental groups as approved by site manager Assist with activity set-up and cleaning dorms as needed Check Hwy 71 fence line daily for trash. Share ATV wagon between park hosts to manage tasks on a priority basis, when applicable. Minor maintenance, e.g., light bulbs, dorm hinges, etc. as requested. Write up any work orders that need to be done and give them to the Park Assistant. Clean the grounds around Osprey cabins Clean the cabin fire pits. Clean the restrooms in the day-use area. Water the plants around Osprey Point Hall and the new trees in the day-use area. Change the combo lock code every Wednesday. Report safety hazards & maintenance concerns to LCRA Parks staff. Pull the trash containers in the Day Use Area. Clean all grills and fire rings in the day-use area and Osprey cabins. For park host site 31: Greet and assist campers and day-use visitors. Clean the grounds around waterfront cabins, along the lake and parking lot. Clean restrooms and restock toilet paper and supplies as needed at the waterfront cabin area. Clean all fire rings and grills at campsites. Pick up and dispose of all litter. Water the plants at the entrance booth and administration office. Clean the restrooms at the administration office. Change the lock combo every Tuesday. Feed the birds in the bird feeding area and make sure the fountain has water. Report safety hazards & maintenance concerns to LCRA Parks staff. For park host site 19: Greet and assist campers and day-use visitors. Clean the restrooms in the camping loop. Clean all fire rings and grills at campsites. Wipe down the picnic tables and benches at campsites. Clean along the waterfront sites at the water s edge and around the camping sites. Pick up and dispose of litter. Check for water teaks, fallen trees and damage to the cabins. Pick up all the trash and cigarette butts. Turn on all lights, fans and AC unit to ensure working properly. Check the beams for left articles and dirt. Make sure the lights and AC unit are turned off with the doors locked. Report safety hazards & maintenance concerns to LCRA Parks staff. Check door hardware to ensure it is operating properly. Clear all spider webs on ceiling, walls and baseboards. Check window hardware and clean shades and sills, inside and out. Look under and wipe down all mattresses. Sweep porch, inside floor and under bunks, mop if needed. Park host will receive copies of the reservations on Friday. Fire pit and grill cleaning procedures Clean the fire pits about three days after the campers have left. Shovel the ashes, wood pieces and coals into a metal bucket and dispose of them. There is a spot in the maintenance area to dispose of the ashes. Scrub the grills with a wire brush.
15 Remove any leftover firewood from the campsites and cabins. Wipe down the picnic tables and benches.
