3 SAUSAGE TREE CAMP Founded in 1996 as Zambia s most luxurious bush camp, located within the exclusive Lower Zambezi National Park (LZNP), Zambia, Sausage Tree Camp, has redefined the safari experience and become the benchmark for Zambian bush chic. The camp, named after the sausage shaped fruit in the giant Sausage Trees, was awarded Best Location in Africa at the 2016 Good Safari Guide Awards and rated No. 1 by the BBC s holiday program s 10 best luxury resorts of the world. These accolades are a credit to the vision and reputation that owner operated Sausage Tree Camp (Chifungulu Ltd.) and director Jason Mott have established. The camp has a privileged location within the natural beauty of the protected Lower Zambezi National Park with it s abundance of wildlife. Sausage Tree Camp has no boundaries and is ideally placed in the heart of the LZNP, where the animals are free to wander straight through and around the camp making the comfort of your tent the ideal wildlife viewing sanctuary. Sausage Tree Camp hosts a maximum of sixteen guests, accommodated in eight very large Bedouin-style tents dotted discreetly along the riverbank. The 5 Signature Tents are spacious islands of cool minimalist style including solid Zambian teak furniture and sumptuous four-poster beds, each serviced by it s own Muchinda (private butler). Each tent s highlight is the unique open-air ensuite bathroom for which Sausage Tree Camp has become renowned - a luxurious loo with a view. The two ultra luxurious Honeymoon Suites consist of an indoor and outdoor bathroom, large teak decking with its very own private plunge pool, mini bar with leather sofas and a view to marry for The camp also offers a large swimming pool which is idyllically situated, overlooking the mighty Zambezi River! We also have the Kigelia House, consisting of two ensuite bedrooms, a large living area, huge timber deck with built in swimming pool, plus a mini bar and dining table.
