The packaging material presents a suffocation hazard and there is a risk of loss of life from strangulation. Children often underestimate danger. Always keep the product out of reach of children. m CAUTION! RISK OF INURY! Ensure that all parts are undamaged and have been assembled appropriately. Risk of inury exists if assembled incorrectly. Damaged parts can effect safety and function. 4 GB/IE

5 Safety advice m CAUTION! Do not leave children unattended. The product is not a climbing frame or toy. Make sure that nobody climbs or leans on the product, particularly children. The product could become imbalanced and tip up. This may result in inury and/or damage. m CAUTION! RISK OF INURY! Never under any circumstances assemble the product in a strong wind. Select a piece of land that is as flat and firm as possible to erect your tent. Sandy surfaces reduce the stability of the tent. Please ensure that the surface provides a firm hold for the tent pegs 8. Never knock the tent pegs 8 into the ground with force! If necessary, the guy ropes should only be extended with the help of a loop and the tent peg 8 positioned in a different location. The intactness of all connection points and the guy ropes should be checked regularly, as should the firmness of the tent pegs 8 in the ground. If the tent is erected in the wrong order, this may cause damage to the tent. All liability is excluded in such cases. m CAUTION! DANGER OF POISONING AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY! Do not light any fires within the product and keep it away from sources of heat. Precautionary measures with respect to fires are stated on a label sewn into the inner tent 2. You are advised not to remove this label. We strongly recommend that you do not remove the sewn-in labels. You should also familiarise yourself with the local fire protection regulations (e.g. camping site, tent pitch). Keep the exit free! Do not block the exit with obects. Fire precautions Camp safely. Follow these commonsense rules: Do not place hot appliances near the walls, roof or curtains Always observe the safety instructions for these appliances Never allow children to play near hot appliances Keep exits clear Make sure you know the fire precaution arrangements on the site Take note of the effects of the weather and climate When selecting the location to put up your tent, you should always consider the local situation and how this might change. Will the terrain turn into a lake if it rains? Please take into account any rising rivers and incoming tides. Protect the product against strong wind and storms. Place the product in a location that is protected from the wind if possible. If a strong wind is forecast, replace the normal tent pegs with special storm pegs. You can find information about meaningful supplementary products at specialist shops. The tent should be taken down before heavy snowfall or stormy weather. Remove any snow directly from the product. Otherwise the product may collapse under the weight. Ensure that the tent is not too taut when it is erected, otherwise it may not be able to adapt to changing weather conditions and might be damaged. Zips are wearing parts and do not fall under the guarantee conditions. Condensation can form in all synthetic tents; you should therefore air the tent as frequently as possible in order to counteract this. The polyester material of the outer tent 1 consists of water-repellent material. It is possible that during the first rainfall the tent will not be completely watertight. However, the threads of the outer tent 1 will contract when exposed to water so that after a short time the tent will become watertight. When exposed to moisture and rain, tent fabrics expand to varying degrees and make it necessary to adapt the length of the guy ropes 7. If the material becomes taut again while GB/IE 5

6 Safety advice / Assembly drying, the guy ropes 7 have to be loosened again in good time. Prevent any contact between the inner 2 and outer tents 1 (rubbing etc.), otherwise the materials could rot or let in water. Avoid damage to the product! that you need not only an area for the floor of the tent, but also room for the guy ropes. You should also ensure that there is enough space to walk around the tent and that there are no tripping hazards. Please maintain an adequate distance to other tents. Do not pull the tent pegs 8 out of the ground together with the rings or by the guy ropes 7. Do not use any insect spray in or on the tent. Never wash the tent in a washing machine or with chemical detergents. The tent should always be stored in a dry place, as otherwise the fabric may be damaged and the zips and poles become rusty. Damaged poles or other components should be replaced by new ones. Small leaks on the seams can be repaired with a seam spray and impregnation spray can be used for the tent skin. Q Erecting the tent Please ensure that the product is only assembled by people with the appropriate skills. Erect the product in accordance with illustrations A to F. Illustration A: 1. Place the outer tent 1 flat on the ground. The holders for the poles must be facing upwards. 2. Push the poles marked in different colours carefully through the holders marked with the same colour. Q Assembly Tip: Before setting out on your ourney you should familiarise yourself with the structure of your tent and erect it. Check whether all of the parts are present and in perfect condition. Q Selecting a pitch The ground should be flat, clean and as smooth as possible. Before you erect your tent, remove any pointed and sharp obects (e.g. stones, branches etc.). Please ensure that the tent is positioned in such a way that its entrance is protected against the wind. You should remember that it is not allowed to erect tents everywhere. In most European countries camping is only permitted on officially authorised campsites and on private land with the permission of the landowner. When selecting a pitch for your tent, remember Illustration B: 3. Set the tent 1 up and fix the poles to the rings of the floor fastenings. Illustration C: 4. Fix one side of the tent in the ground with the tent pegs 8. Then take hold of the other end of the tent and pull it apart in such a way that the tent is taut. 5. Secure the outer tent 1 by tensioning the floor fastenings with the tent pegs Now secure the outer tent 1 with the guy ropes 7 and the tent pegs 8. Illustration D: 7. Open the sunroof (entrance), unroll it and attach it with the two fasteners. Illustration E: 8. Hang the inner tent 2 and the floor tarpaulin 10 into the plastic rings of the outer tent 1 that are designated for that purpose. 6 GB/IE

7 Assembly / Cleaning and Care / Disposal 9. Use the buckles 9 at the corners of inner tent 2 to connect with the outer tent 1. Illustration F: 10. Stretch the tent until taut and pull all of the corners and guy ropes 7 until they are tight. Do not over-tighten the guy ropes 7. If the strength of the wind increases the attachment point and seam of the tent might tear. In order to use the entrance as a sunroof, insert the main support poles 6 into one another and attach the pointed end of the main support poles 6 into the holes of the sunroof provided. 11. Lay out the groundsheet 10 in the tent and engage the hooks of the groundsheet 10 in the rings of the tent attachments. 12. Fasten the two loops on the entrance side of the groundsheet 10 with pegs 8. Figure G: 13. The door in the partition of the inner tent 2 can only be opened to one side. Q Always fold the outer tent 1 together in such a way that the floor of the tent is facing outwards. Then fold the inner tent 2 and roll it together. Collect all of the parts together carefully before you pack the tent. You should count the parts in order to ensure that none of them have been mislaid or lost. After the tent has been rolled up, pack it carefully into the carrying bag. Cleaning and Care CAUTION! Never wash the tent in a washing machine. Otherwise the product may lose some of its ability to keep out water. CAUTION! Never use petrol, solvent or other cleaning agents. Otherwise there is a danger of damage to the product. CAUTION! Do not use any sharp obects as these will damage the coating. Figure H: 14. Attach the washing line 11 to the loops provided. Q Taking down the tent Clean the tent both inside and outside before you take the tent down. The tent must be dismantled in the reverse order to the manner in which it is erected. Q Packing the tent together CAUTION! Please ensure that the tent is completely dry before you pack it together. Otherwise this may result in stains and damage to the fabric. CAUTION! The tent pegs 8 and other individual parts must be packed separately in the bags provided. Otherwise the tent pegs 8 might damage the tent. Q For cleaning the tent and removing any stains you should only use a cleaning agent that is specifically intended for cleaning polyester tents. Remove any dirt from the tent with a soft sponge and clean water. Please allow all parts to dry thoroughly before you repack the tent. This will prevent the formation of mould, bad odours and discolouration. If the zipper sticks when being opened or closed, spray it with silicone spray. The product may lose some of its ability to keep out water with frequent use. Therefore you should spray the outer tent 1 regularly with a waterproofing agent (available in DIY shops, camping shops etc.). Disposal The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose at local recycling facilities. GB/IE 7
