3 Milestones 1975: Founded the company under the name Hawly. 1989: Company renamed to Houly, focusing on making customized knife blades and varied home/kitchen knives. 1990: Produced steak knives as giveaways for Reader s Digest. 1991: Developed tools for pet care use, such as pet fur combs among other things. 1994: Developed and produced hollow body knives. 1995: Developed and designed cheese knives 2005 Developed and produced table cloth clips Launched new food preparation knives on consumer TV network. 2008: Developed and produced stainless steel wine cork. 2009: Developed and produced LFGB colored knives. 2010: Developed and produced patented knife holders. 2011: Launched a range of garden scissors. 2012: Developed bar accessories, dessert utensils, and opaque handle butter knife. 2013: Expanded kitchen accessory line to include stainless trivets, cheese grater, etc. 2014: Won contracts to produce customized kitchen and food preparation knife blades for major customers.
