4 GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PITCH & RENTAL BOOKINGS 1. BOOKINGS The reservation of your pitch or rental only becomes effective after our approval and reception by us of the booking agreement signed by you, accompanied by the deposit of 30% of the total cost (non-refundable) and 10 booking fee for pitches and 18 for rentals. As soon as we receive the agreement and your deposit we will confirm your booking in writing, if we have space. You must present this confirmation when you arrive at the camp-site. The outstanding balance for the total cost of your holiday is payable 30 days before your arrival. No reductions will be made in the event of late arrival or early departure. Please contact us if you have to modify your plans in any way. However we cannot guarantee to give you the same pitch or rental if you change the dates of your stay. 2. ARRIVAL - DEPARTURE The pitch or rental you have reserved is available at 3.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated, fully cleaned, by 10.00am on the day you leave. Tenants undertake to comprehensively clean the premises or pitches before departure including the refrigerator, gas hob, microwave oven, coffee machine, etc Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday (during july and august). Rentals are fully equipped. You only need to bring sheets and pillowcases. Two guarantees are payable on arrival for furnished rentals: 300 for the furniture and fittings and 80 for cleaning. For furnished fabric tents and bungalows: 200 for furniture and fittings and 60 for cleaning. These guarantees are for loss, breakage, damage to equipment and impeccable cleanliness of the rental at the end of your stay. 3. CANCELLATION The campsite offers you optional Cancellation and Interruption insurance in your rental contract. Our partner Gritchen Affinity will refund all or part of the stay only to customers that have purchased Campez Couvert insurance. In case of cancellation, please notify the campsite of your cancellation as soon as an event occurs that prevents your departure, by letter or by . If the claim is covered in the general conditions (available at or from the campsite), please notify the insurer within 48 hours and provide all the necessary information and supporting documents. The right of withdrawal does not apply to outdoor accommodation (Article L of the French Consumer Code). 4. INSURANCE Campers must take out their own insurance. The camp-site does not accept any liability for theft, fire, bad weather and any incident involving a camper's third party liability. All campers must comply with the camp-site house rules. The courts in Privas, Ardèche, France are stipulated to be solely competent for hearing litigation. The camper may also use a mediator of tourism: CMAP (Centre for Mediation and Arbitration of Paris CCI de Paris) - 39 avenue F.D. Roosevelt Paris - consommation@cmap.fr - Tel.: SWIMMING POOL Access to the swimming and paddling pool is free and reserved for camp-site customers. Swimming is not supervised. Swimming trunks (not Bermudas) are obligatory. 6. PETS Pets must never be left on their own in the campsite and always kept on a lead. 1 st and 2 nd category dogs are prohibited. A valid vaccination certificate for your pet must be presented when you arrive. Owners must "relieve" their pets outside the camp-site to guarantee camp-site cleanliness and hygiene. 7. TRAFFIC AND PARKING OF VEHICLES (cars, motor bikes, mopeds) Speed limited to 10kph in the camp-site. Traffic prohibited between 10.30PM and 7.30AM. People wishing to leave the camp-site during this period should park their vehicle in the visitor's car park at the camp-site entrance. Only one vehicle can be parked at a pitch. 8. TOURIST TAX The Gorges of Ardèche "community of communes" visitor's tax is applicable. The amount of this tax is of 0.61 per day per person over ADMISSION CONDITIONS Only the manager can authorise entries to the camp-site. All people authorised to enter must obey the house rules, prove their identity and complete all the registration formalities. Unaccompanied minors will not be admitted if they do not possess a certificate from their parents accepting full liability for them. Individual barbecues are strictly prohibited. ============================================================= IN JULY and AUGUST: IT IS FORBIDDEN BY THE VILLAGE OF BALAZUC. 5 RULES AND REGULATION 1. Entrance terms Nobody is authorized to enter, settle or stay on a campsite without previous authorization of the manager or his representative who has to make sure that the campsite is correctly held and that the rules and regulations are respected. Staying on the campsite involves that you are willing to accept and fulfill the disposals of these rules and regulations. No one may set up residence there. 2. Police formalities Unaccompanied minors will only be admitted with the written authorisation of their parents. Pursuant to article R of the Code of Entry and Residence of Foreigners and Asylum Rights, the management is bound to ask customers of foreign nationality to complete and sign an individual police file ("fiche individuelle de police ) on arrival. This must include, notably: 1) Your last name and first names 2) Your date and place of birth 3) Your nationality 4) Your usual place of domicile. Children under 15 may be included on the file of one of the parents. 3. Settling The open-air accommodation as well as any other equipment relating to would be mounted on the pitch indicated by the camp manager or his representative. 4. Information centre Open from 9am to 12am and from 2pm to6.30pm. The information centre will provide all useful information concerning camp-facilities, possibilitites of fresh supplies, sport facilities, interesting sights and usefull adresses. A system for collecting et processing complaints is at customers s disposal. 5. Information These rules and regulations are stuck at the campsite entry and at the Information Centre. They can be delivered to any customer on request. Classified campsites must display the number of stars with the reference tourisme ( tourism ) or loisirs ( recreation ), and the number of tourism or recreational pitches. The prices of the different services provided must be notified to customers and displayed in the reception area as stipulated by the minister responsible for consumption. 6. Terms of departure Custumors will have to inform the Information Centre the day before their leaving. If campers want to leave the campsite before the opening of the Information Centre, they will have to pay their stay the day before. 7. Noise and silence The costumers are required to avoid any noise and talks which may disturb their neighbours, and to turn down their radios and tape recorders. Please close your doors and boots smoothly. Dogs and other animals are only allowed if kept on a lead. They can't be left alone on the campsite, even locked in, when their masters who are responsible for them. Complete silence between 10p.m and 7a.m is required. The management must guarantee the tranquillity of its customers by setting times during which absolute silence must be respected. 8. Visitors After being authorized by the manager or his representative, visitors will be allowed to enter the campsite under campers' responsibility. Custumers is allowed to greet one or few visitors at the Information Centre. Visitors are allowed to use campsite services and installations. However, use of these facilities may be subject to charges and the rates must be displayed at the entrance to the campsite and in the reception office. Visitors' cars are not allowed on the campsite. 9. Traffic and parking Inside the campsite speed is limited at 10 km/h. Traffic is allowed between 7.30am and 10.30pm. Only campers staying on the campingsite can drive inside the camping. Parking accommodation facilities is strictly forbidden unless a parking space is provided for the purpose. Parked vehicles may not obstruct traffic or prevent newly arrived customers from occupying their pitch. 10. Keeping and look of the camp fittings Everybody will avoid any action which could prejudice the campsite cleanliness, hygiene and aspect as well as its services and more precisely its sanitary fittings. Put household refuse, scraps of any kind and papers into bins. Washing outside appropriate sinks is strictly forbidden. If necessary, hanging out the washing could be done in the drying room. However it is allowed until 10 am near the tents and caravans providing it will not bother the neighbours. Do take care of trees, plants and flowers. Campers are not allowed to hammer in nails into trees, to cut branches or to plant out. Do not mark off pitches by yourself. Do not dig into the ground. Any repais for damage made on plants, fences, campsite or fittings will be paid by the offender. The pitch used during the stay will be kept in the state the camper found it when he arrived. 11. Security a) Fire Open fires (wood, charcoal, etc.) are prohibited. Stoves must be kept in good state of running and musn't be used in hazardous conditions. In case of fire, let the camp manager being informed immediatly. Fire extinguishers are at everybody's disposal. A first-aid kit is available at the Information Centre. b) Theft Management is responsible for things left in the Information Centre's cares and is also liable for the general surveillance of the campsite. Costumers remain responsible for their own installation and have to let the manager being informed of any suspect presence. Though the campsite is watched over, campers are required to take care of their equipment. 12. Games No violent or disturbing game is allowed close to the campsite facilities. The meeting room can only be used for quiet games. Parents will always have to watch over their children. 13. Unoccupied tents and caravans Unoccupied tents or caravans should be left on the campingsite only after camp's manager approval and on the pitch notified. When caravans or tents are permanently left on the campsite, a tax may have to be paid whose amount is indicated at the Information centre. This service may be charged for. 14. Infrigement to these rules and regulations In case one camper would disturb the stay of the other campers or would not respect the disposals of these rules and regulations, the manager or his representative could give him formal notice, orally or if necessary in writting, to stop the disturbances. In case of serious or repeated infringement to these rules and regulations after formal notice made by the manager to conform to, he would have the right to cancel the contract. In case of penal infringement, the manager may call the Police.
