18 5. MAINTENANCE The Dukki is made of plastic, stainless steel, and aluminium parts and is completely corrosion-resistant. Almost no maintenance is necessary on the Dukki. Should the frame work loosen during use, the problem can be solved simply. Using the wrench, tigthen the bolt connections on both outsides of the frame. To ensure that the head rest continues functioning correctly, make certain that there is no build-up of dirt between the moving parts. Regular cleaning is sufficient 5.1 Cleaning The seat and the frame of the Dukki can be cleaned with water and a cleaning agent. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents Stubborn marks can be removed using a clothe dipped in a chlorine-based toilet cleaner. When using chlorine, avoid contact with the head rest cushion, your skin and your clothes. When using the Dukki in the shower, it is possible that some water will get into the seat. Ensure that no water is left in the seat by occasionally tilting it forward. The water will then run out through a hole in the bottom of the stem. Water which has entered the arm rest, abduction block, or feet rest can run out once the screw cap has been removed. The chest, hip and foot straps and the fixation jacket can be washed by hand at 30 C. The cushion on the head rest should be treated in the same way as leather. The cushion material is not resistant to chlorine, acetone, or benzine. Clean the cushion with a mild soap. 13
