13 Audi: When Engineering Counts Case Study Audi is known the world over for their excellence in engineering and design. So when they decided to remodel their US showrooms they wanted a display to reflect their core values of innova engineering. The design and ex o be perfect. Project Graphics provided a comprehensiv tead of digitally imaging the fabrics, a screen-print process could be used on heavyweight dyed fabrics that matched the Audi brand. Project Graphics pr specialists created a liquid silver ink suspending actual chrome flakes in a clear base. Prin ectly on the fabric with the chrome ink gave the metallic impression the client envisioned. Next, Project Graphics engineered a moun arousel so that the banners could be suspended from the ceiling in a circular pa ern, aligning the Audi logo around the display. The banners could be hung directly from the carousel rods or suspended with wires to create a floa y of brand banners. The launch was a great success. The banner carousels were an integral part of the design and the visual focal point of 250 Audi showrooms. The program lasted several years while showrooms were built, finished or remodeled...and they truly lived up to the company s tagline, Truth in Engineering. 13
