Through year round and summer programming, we offer a ministry of education, renewal, and hospitality by welcoming individuals, youth groups, other church groups, business groups, community groups, and family groups to our sites for camps, retreats, training sessions, picnics, and other events. Your Invitation to Join Our Summer Staff There s simply no better or more rewarding way to spend a summer than working in a Christian camp setting. As a part of our summer staff, you will join with other young adults and year round staff in an encouraging community of faith that will challenge you to grow in your relationship with God. You will have the opportunity to share your faith and listen to the faith stories of others as you lead campers through daily Bible studies and worship experiences, and as you guide campers through the daily activities that make up all the fun of summer camp. Our Summer Staff works together for ten weeks, beginning in late May and ending in early August. We structure our programs around a small group decentralized" model of camping. The majority of our camping sessions are week long residential sessions for kindergarten through twelfth graders. Specialty camps include a Day Camp, Buddy & Me Camp, High Adventure Camps, two-week camp options, and Mission Camps. The Application Process You are invited to complete this application packet. Once we receive your packet, we ll begin the process by contacting references and setting up an interview time with you. Q: How old do applicants need to be to work at camp? A: Each year we seek the best applicants for our open positions. Ordinarily, our cabin counselors have completed at least one year of college. Some positions are available for younger applicants. To drive camp vehicles, potential staff should be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record. Q: When are applications due? And when will I know if I m hired? A: Applications are received and reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. After interview and other due diligence, hiring decisions will be made and candidates notified. Q: What if I have other questions?
