We would like to have a mass movement on Tuesday, May 30th from 9:00-1:00. Please plan to meet in the foyer to assist. Camping fee will be covered by the troop. Meal plans will need to be communicated by the Patrol Leaders. 3 Summer Camp From Mr. Corman Summer Camp Site: Camp Crooked Creek, Campground 4 Summer Camp Dates: July Summer Camp Fee: Regular - $305 With Early Bird Registration- $280 Early bird registration fee: $50, leaves a $230 balance If you have not, please submit your merit badge preferences to Mr. Corman. Summer Camp Update: Summer Camp merit badge offerings and schedule PDF have been sent with the newsletter multiple weeks, refer to the LHC website or prior newsletter mailings. Review the schedule and make a primary and alternate selection on page 2 of the included form. Mr. Corman can help if the schedule and process is unclear. Fill out the rest of the form and hand in to Mr. Corman along with a check (made out to Troop 380). Checks will be given to the treasurer by Mr. Corman after completing documentation. There is a lot of time left but remember you have to have a current scout physical in order to participate in scouting events/outings including summer camp. Scout physicals are good for 12 months. If you are having a JCPS or sports physical soon please take the scouting form with you. Substitute forms are not accepted. The official BSA Medical Form sections ABC are required. Mr. Corman will begin collecting the forms in May. Summer camp important upcoming dates: 3/4/2017 Deposit due from troop to reserve spots and campground 3/5/2017 Merit Badge registration opens. Mr. Corman will reserve classes for everyone who has handed in a form and deposit. YiS Matt From: Laura Haara Subject: Boy Scouts Swim test Tuesday June 6 at 6:30 Kim and Maggie- thank you for allowing us to let the Boy Scouts do a brief swim test at Lake Forest Lodge Pool. We have selected Tuesday June 6. The dive team is away at an away meet that night. We will start at 6:30. It will not take long. I have informed the troop that it will be $4 for each non-lf resident for a pool pass. We will only use a couple lanes and will be careful that residents using the pool are no inconvenienced. Thanks, Daniel Kirwan ======= Please help me complete my Eagle Project on Tues (May 30) and Thurs (June 1) from 6pm to 9pm at Sojourn Community Church (East Campus) at 2501 Rudy Lane. You don t have to stay for the full time - any and all help is welcome and appreciated. My project is making a walking path for the local residents that are allowed to use the Church s property as a park. The project involves digging out the grass and dirt, lining the hole with edging, filling with drainage rock, and then topping the drainage rock with walking gravel. I will have food and drinks for people both evenings. I d ask volunteers to bring work gloves, eye protection, and shovels (I ll have some extras too).
