1 Summer Gymnastics Camp Programs Parent Handbook The SKY Family YMCA Summer 2017 Contact Number: Gymnastics Pro-shop: (941) The Y: For Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility 1

2 Welcome Parents! Welcome to the Gymnastics summer camp programs. We re glad you ve chosen to spend some memorable moments with us this summer. We look forward to providing an exciting summer, filled with tremendous summertime experiences that only the YMCA can offer. The YMCA offers a healthy, safe and fun environment where positive interaction with peers and adults help build strong character. Whether you are new to the YMCA Summer Camp programs or a seasoned Y camper, we are pleased to welcome you to the 2017 gymnastics summer camp programs. This handbook has been created as a reference guide for both parents and children. It contains vital information and policies about our summer programs. Your child s safety is a top priority and we take this responsibility very seriously. Please take the time with your child to read and review the entire handbook. If you have any questions, please call Gymnastics Director at YMCA MISSION/VISION At the Y, we measure the success of our cause by how well we engage communities in our three areas of focus: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. That s because a strong community can only be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. We encourage all children to be in attendance by the start time of their registered camp so all programs can start on time and attendance will be taken. P.M. If someone other than yourself will be picking up your child, please notify the program Director ahead of time. Please inform everyone on your child s pick up list of this policy. **Note: Appropriate legal paperwork is required to be on file with the YMCA when the custodial parent requests the center not to release the child to the other parent. Late Pick Up YMCA camp programs close promptly at 6:00 p.m. If your child is not picked up by 6:00pm, a late fee of $1.00 per minute after 6:00 p.m. must be paid in CASH to the YMCA employee(s). The late fee is in place to compensate staff members for their time. If you know you will be late, please make every attempt to make alternate pick up arrangements and contact the gymnastics office. It is often stressful for a child when parents are late, so staff will make every effort to contact parents/emergency contacts to ensure timely pickup.
