20 What is the FAA ADS-B Mandate? January 1, 2020, when operating in the airspace designated in 14 CFR , you must be equipped with ADS-B Out avionics that meet the performance requirements of 14 CFR Aircraft not complying with the requirements may be denied access to this airspace. I do not need to plan for these changes as the manufacturer will send me new updated transponders. C. In the US, I need to equip by If I am flying internationally, I will ensure compliance if I equip by December D. Above FL 180, I do not need to comply with these mandates if I am RVSM-compliant.
