(Residential- Apartments) Side door was kicked in. Officers responded to alarm at Apartment Complex Office. After arriving on scene it was discovered that someone had kicked in the door to Office. Officers located a White Box for one of the laundry services outside the building. The box appeared to have been hit with an unknown object in an attempt to get into the box. The maintenance supervisor arrived on scene and stated nothing appears to be missing. Tips: Let trusted neighbors know if you are not going to be at home Be cautious about who you let in your home for service and repairs Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free home security inspection (248)

Victim went back inside his residence, came back out to his vehicle at 5:00am and the vehicle was gone. 4 From: 02/06/2017 1:00am To: 02/06/2017 7:56am Civic Center Dr. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer DODGE Model GRAND CARAVAN Color GRN - Green Vehicle Year 2002 Body Style State MI Description 02 CARAVAN Officers were given BOL from Dispatch stating Neighboring Jurisdiction PD was on their way to an attempt LFA in their city. The R/P from that jurisdiction stated the suspect vehicles were a White Pickup Truck and a Blue Minivan last seen headed toward Inkster from 11 Mile Rd in Southfield. Officers located the two suspect vehicles in the area of Franklin Rd & Beck Rd. Both vehicles fled from Officers. During the pursuit the Blue Mini Van went off the road and hit several small tree s and then hit a big tree. The Blue Mini Van went back out onto the roadway where Officers positioned their Police Vehicles so as to block the vehicle and ending the pursuit. The driver of the vehicle resisted Officers and had to be extracted from the vehicle. The Blue Mini Van was a confirmed Stolen Vehicle out of Southfield and had ignition damage. Officers also located and recovered Four Ford Wheels & Tires in the back of the minivans that were most likely taken in LFA in other jurisdiction. The White Pick Up Truck was last seen heading S/B on Franklin Rd towards Telegraph. That vehicle wasn t located at this time.

5 From: 02/07/ :00pm To: 02/07/2017 5:00pm Galleria Officentre (Commercial- Office Center) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Chevy Model Trailblazer Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year Description Silver 2008 Chevy Trailblazer Notes -Blue And Yellow "Ukrane" Word Decal On Driver Side Rear Below Trailblazer Emblem -Front Passenger Fender Damage Victim states she returned to work at Office Center after lunch at 3:00pm. Victim returned to her vehicle at 5:00pm and the vehicle was gone. No suspect information. From: 02/08/ :30pm To: 02/09/ :00am (LFA Also) Oxley Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Status A Attempt Only Manufacturer BUICK Model RAINIER Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2004 Body Style SW - Station Wagon State MI Notes Punched door lock, damaged steering column housing, missing two (L/R) tail lights. Still starts. Victim states sometime between 10:30pm and the following morning at 10:00am someone forced entry into his vehicle by punching the door lock. Suspect(s) went through the glove box and center console. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from cup holder in center console. There was also damage to the vehicles ignition and the two rear tail lights were taken.

(Residential- Apartments) S - Stolen Manufacturer HUMMER Model H3 Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2003 Body Style State MI Description 03 HUMMER WITH ONE OF ITS WINDOW BROKEN OUT Victim states he last saw his car parked in the lot at approx. 12:30am. He woke up the following morning at approx. 9:00am and observed glass on the ground where his vehicle was parked and his vehicle missing. R/p states he had 3 boxes of hair extensions in the vehicle when it was taken. Fail to Return Rental was returned. No further information. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

When R/P stated I'm calling the police the suspect stated "don't call the police" and fled S/B on foot. Victim states nothing was taken from the vehicle. Especially Trucks, Vans, SUV s or vehicles big enough to put appliances in. If you see any suspicious activity call 911 immediately and report activity. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim states sometime between 11:00pm and the following morning at 9:45am someone entered his unlocked 2015 Dodge Ram Pick Up and stole his wallet. Vehicle was parked at victim s residence on Goldwin St. Victim advises suspect(s) attempted to use one of his credit cards at a Gas Station in Detroit. Officers responded to Alarm at vacant residence 4:50pm. Officers arrived and observed window open on east side of home. Officers searched the home and nobody was found inside the residence. Investigation revealed unknown suspects had removed the homes Furnace, Refrigerator and Air conditioner. Suspects had also torn the alarm panel off the S/W bedroom wall. A neighbor across the street advises minutes prior to Officers arriving she observed 2- White Older Model 4-Dr. SUV s backed into the driveway. Nothing further at this time.

9 From: 02/07/ :05pm To: 02/08/2017 7:30am Templar Cir. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Handgun Victim states she parked her vehicle at 10:05pm. Glasses and IPhone Charger are missing. Victim states sometime over night someone went through all three of his vehicles and took his Glasses and his IPhone. Victim checked his video surveillance camera and at 4:00am he observed a B/M, Y.O.A., slim build, between 5'-8 6-0, medium comp. with a skull cap on rummaging through all three of his vehicles. (Ford Ranger, Mercedes Benz 350, & Buick Century) From: 02/08/2017 9:30pm To: 02/09/2017 4:30am Melrose All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Cadillac XTS. Victim states sometime between 9:30pm and the following morning at 4:30am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from his 2017 Cadillac XTS.

10 02/09/2017 4:00am Melrose All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Ford Escape. Victim states sometime between 4:00am- 8:15am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from her 2017 Ford Escape. Suspect(s) also broke out window on vehicle to retrieve wheel lock key from the glove box. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens that have wheel locks on their wheels should never leave the key for the wheel locks in a common place like the center console or the glove box. Put the key in a place that it would be very difficult for the suspect(s) to locate. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From: 02/09/ :00am To: 02/09/2017 7:29am Magnolia Pkwy All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Victim states sometime between 12:00am- 7:29am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from her 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle is a Rental vehicle. Victim s son states he heard a zipping noise at approx. 5:00am. 11 02/10/2017 5:01am Northwestern (Hotel) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Ford Explorer. Officers while checking the parking lot for LFA's at Hotel in the Block of Northwestern Hwy. discovered a 2017 Ford Explorer resting on landscaping bricks. All Four Wheels & Tires had been taken. From: 02/09/ :00pm To: 02/10/2017 6:31am Northwestern (Hotel) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2015 Ford Explorer. Security from the Hotel advised they found a 2015 Black Ford Explorer in the west parking lot that had the wheels and tires taken from it. The owner was located by Officers. He advises that he parked the vehicle at approx. 11:00pm. Security discovered vehicle at 6:31am. 02/11/2017 2:06am Carriage Lamp (Residential Apartments) Attempt LFA. No entry was made. Witness states she observed a light comp. male/female standing beside her friends White Cadillac. The suspect began to throw something at the car's windows in attempt to break in. The suspect was also seen on top of the car jumping on the sun roof in attempt to break it as well. The suspect then saw witness and got into a Silver Nissan Altima and left the area in an unknown direction. After Officers arrived it was discovered that there was a handgun lying inside the vehicle on the floor board in plain view.

Victim states sometime between 6:00pm and the following morning at 8:45am someone entered her unlocked 2011 Buick Enclave and took her Social Security Card & Birth Certificate. From: 02/10/ :30pm To: 02/11/2017 8:45am From: 02/11/ :30am To: 02/11/2017 8:45am From: 02/10/2017 6:00pm To: 02/11/2017 8:00am 02/11/ :41am Pennsylvania Purse was taken from victims Kia Optima Lathrup St. Purse and I Pad were taken from victims 2015 Lexus NX200T Connecticut Phone Charger was taken from 2016 Chrysler Lathrup Blvd. Change Purse with misc. coin change inside was taken. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked Victim stated her purse was stolen out of her rental vehicle sometime between Friday February 10, 2017@11:30pm & Saturday February 11, 2017@8:45am. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. No suspect information. Victim states her Purse and Apple I Pad were stolen out of her vehicle on Saturday February 11, 2017 sometime between 12:30am & 8:45am. Entry was gained through an unlocked door No suspect information. Victim states his phone charger was stolen from his vehicle sometime between 6:00pm and the following morning at 8:00am. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. No suspect information. Victim states his Change Purse was stolen from his vehicle sometime between 5:45pm and the following morning at 10:45am. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. No suspect information.

13 Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 02/08/2017 3:55pm Greenfield Rd. (Commercial- Pharmaceutical) Several Prescription Pills were taken. Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. If something doesn t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately Trust your intuition Several Officers responded to the Block of Greenfield, (Pharmacy) on R/A just occurred, 3- B/M suspects. Investigation revealed three suspects entered the store. Two of the suspects were armed. They took several prescription narcotics and left the store. A witness from adjacent business advises the suspects ran to a Silver Mazda 3 or 6 and fled north on Greenfield Rd. and then west on Cambridge St. SUSPECT INFORMATION: Suspect# 1: Black male, early twenties, 5'-10"- 6'-0". Gray hoodie with red stripe across the bottom, subject had the hood up during the incident. Suspect did not wear gloves. Suspect was armed with a silver semi-auto pistol. Suspect# 2: Black male, early twenties, 5'-10"- 6-0". Gray hoodie with the hood on. Suspect did not wear gloves. Suspect was armed with a black semi-auto pistol. Suspect# 3: Black male, early twenties, 5'-10"- 6-0". Black and blue hoodie with red hoodie underneath, red hood on. Suspect wore yellow gloves and had a bag in his hands.

15 Be on the Look Out Highlights: LFA s- Wheels & Tires This past Week: 1) Block of Melrose All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Cadillac XTS. Between 9:30pm- 4:30am. 2) Block of Melrose All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Ford Escape. Between 4:30am- 8:15am. 3) Block of Magnolia Pkwy All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Victim s son states he heard a zipping noise at approx. 5:00am. Discovered at 5:00am. 5) Block of Northwestern (Hotel) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2015 Ford Explorer. Between 11:00pm- 6:30am.

16 Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. -After parking your vehicle turn your wheels all the way to the right or the left. This will make it difficult to get the lug nuts off the front wheels. DWLS/ CCW- 1- Arrest 02/08/ :43am W Eight Mile Rd & Shiawassee Rd. Southfield Officer was on routine patrol in the Block of Shiawassee, ran license plate on vehicle leaving the apartment complex. Two warrants came back for the owner of the vehicle. Officer stopped the vehicle and upon approaching the vehicle immediately observed a handgun lying on the back seat behind the driver. Officer immediately ordered the driver and passenger to put their hands on the dash. The driver stated he had a permit for the handgun and the gun wasn t loaded. Additional Officers arrived on scene to assist. Further investigation revealed that the driver didn t have a CPL and his Driver s License was Suspended. The driver was arrested for DWLS & CCW. When searching the driver Officers recovered a loaded magazine for the handgun. - If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you hear any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers

17 as much information about the suspect(s) and suspect vehicles as you can. Stay on the phone with Dispatchers until the Police arrive. -Lots of lighting around the area(s) that you park your vehicles is also very beneficial. Criminals don t like to work in well lighted areas. They prefer to work in darkness because it s difficult to see them. Domestic Assault/ Resist & Obstruct Officer- 1- Arrest 02/09/ :02pm Block of Bush St. Southfield Officers responded to report of a Male Assaulting a female out in front of the residence. The male subject was last seen dragging the female into the residence. Officers arrived and attempted to make contact at the residence. B/M subject answered the door, but would only open the door slightly. He refused to let the Officers into the residence to check the welfare of the female that was dragged into the house. The subject attempted to close the door. Officers had to force their way into the residence. Subject resisted Officers as they attempted to secure him. Officers located the female victim. When Officers attempted to interview her male subject interfered with Officers investigation coaching her on what to say and then told her not to say anything. Officers took a statement from the original caller that witnessed & reported incident. The male subject was taken into custody for Resisting & Obstructing at this time.

18 DWLS/ Obstruct Police- 1- Arrest 02/10/2017 7:31pm Greenfield Rd. & Northland Dr. Southfield Officer observed traffic violation and stopped vehicle for the violation. The vehicle was slow to pull over and failed to comply with direction over PA System. Additional Officers stopped to assist. After approaching vehicle and asking the driver for his license, he stated he didn t have one. The driver gave Officer his identification verbally. A check on that ID came back with No Record. Officer s investigation eventually identified the subject s true identity. Officers returned to the vehicle to arrest driver for DWLS and Obstruct Police. The driver refused to exit the vehicle and locked the doors. He stated he didn t recognize their Government Agency. (Sovereign Citizen) The passenger door was open and Officers were able to unlock the doors. The driver was then taken into custody.

19 Aggravated Felonious Assault/ MDOP- 1- Arrest 02/12/2017 1:56pm Block of Northwestern Hwy (Hotel) Officers were dispatched to Block of Northwestern (Hotel) for a subject armed. Southfield Dispatch advised Officers the R/P, called stating a female in the parking lot was holding a knife and threatening her. Dispatch also stated the armed female slashed one of R/P s tires already. Officers arrived on scene located subjects involved and conducted an investigation. Investigation led to the arrest of one of the female combatants for F/A with a Knife and MDOP to victims vehicle. (Tire slashed and flattened) A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene collecting evidence and taking photos.
