2 Welcome to Welcome to the fourth International Staff Training Week at the! In this programme booklet you will find detailed information about the 4-day programme of workshops and cultural activities. We have four campuses and you will get an opportunity to visit each of them. Workshop Groups During the week we will have activities focusing on four different areas of professional expertise: >> R&D Projects >> Student Programme Administration >> Marketing >> International Relations Depending on your specialization field, you will join one of the target group for workshops. Shuttle Service We will organize daily shuttle services to our different destinations. If you are not staying at Hotel ibis Linz City, please make sure that you are on time at the meeting point outside the hotel. Hotel ibis Linz City is located opposite to the main train station Linz, bus stop Hauptbahnhof (Kärntner Straße). If for some reason you will be late or not able to attend, please contact us. Contact details are provided on the last page of the booklet. It is very easy to use the public transport in Linz. Bus number 17 and 19 (direction Fernheizkraftwerk ) will take you between the hotel (bus stop Hauptbahnhof Kärntner Straße ) and Linz Campus (bus stop Prinz-Eugen-Straße). You can buy the bus ticket at the orange ticket machine by the bus stop, choose the ticket MIDI-Karte (Langstrecke) (2,20 ) for a single trip or choose a day pass MAXI- Karte (24h-Karte) (4,40 ) if you are planning to use public transport more then once on the same day. If you wish to walk, the distance is approximately 2.5 km from Hotel ibis Linz City. A third option is to take a taxi, just ask the receptionist at the hotel to assist you or use the taxi station located next to the hotel.

6 Friday, 27 th April 2018 (optional day) Bad Ischl Excursion - registration required * 30,- participation fee Bad Ischl is a charming, beautiful, little town in Upper Austria set against the backdrop of the mighty Katrin Mountain. It is known as a cultural centre of the Salzkammergut, a resort area with a total of 76 lakes and one of the most impressive regions in the heart of Austria. In Bad Ischl you can fully enjoy your day as you visit the summer residence of the former Emperor Franz Josef I and his wife, Empress Elizabeth (also known as Sisi), have delicious lunch in the mountain restaurant, see the beautiful untouched nature, as well as the pretty alleys of the old town, and while you walk in the footsteps of Emperor Franz Josef you feel immediately transported back in time to the turn of the century...
