2 Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 09/28/ :14pm W Nine Mile Rd. (Gas Station) Pry bar type tool was used to break into coin box. Officer was dispatched to investigate Larceny from an Air Vending Machine. The owner of the Gas station advised he had the incident on surveillance video. (still photo s only at this time) At 11:14pm on 09/28/17. Still photos show suspect using a pry bar type tool to break into the air machine. Suspect is a W/M 40's to 50's wearing a grey sweatshirt, black pants, black gym shoes, and had on glasses. Suspect fled in an older Black SUV unknown on plate N/B on Lahser from above location. An unknown amount of coins was taken from coin box. 3 Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 09/26/2017 7:00pm To: 09/26/ :00pm (B&E Garage/ LFA) Stahelin Rd. Garage door was pried open. Investigation revealed that sometime between 7:00pm- 10:00pm someone using a pry bar broke into their unattached garage and removed several tools and a lawn mower. No items were found to be missing however. Victim also discovered that his White Ford Econoline Van had the window broken out and the vehicle was ransacked. Nothing was missing from the vehicle. It appears that the suspect cut him or herself when breaking out the window as there was blood evident on the vehicle. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and collected samples of the suspected blood. From: 09/27/2017 7:00am To: 09/27/ :55am Avon Ln. Entry was possibly through rear window. Officers responded to an alarm at residence. Officers arrived at the residence and found the front door open and a rear window open. Homeowner arrived at the residence and advised she left the residence at 7:00am and everything was locked up. 2- Vizio Flat Screen TV s are missing from the residence. A review of a neighbor s surveillance camera s shows a gray van pull into the driveway and two suspects exit. There was a Nike Air Force 1 partial footprint on the tiles near the front door. Nothing further at this time.

4 From: 09/28/2017 6:30am To: 09/28/2017 5:00pm 09/29/2017 1:43pm From: 09/28/2017 5:00pm To: 09/29/2017 9:30am Mahon Dr. Entry was through east side window Russell St. Front window screen was removed and its believed entry was made through this window Briarbank Ave. Front N/side window was broken out. Victim states sometime between 6:30am- 5:00pm someone forced entry into residence and took several items. Several musical instruments and electronic items were taken. Officers responded to alarm at residence. Officers discovered good B&E through a front window to residence. A screen was removed and lying on the ground under the window. The homeowner arrived after Officers secured the residence. A walk through of residence revealed that several items including a handgun were taken from the residence. Victim states sometime between 5:00pm and the following morning at 9:30am someone forced entry into residence by breaking out front window. Once inside suspect(s) went into the garage and took an impact wrench and a drill. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and collected samples of suspected blood believed to be suspects.

5 From: 09/29/ :00pm To: 09/30/2017 6:18pm Butternut Ln. Front door was kicked in. R/p, a caretaker for the vacant home advises sometime between 12:00pm and the following day at 6:18pm someone forced entry into residence by kicking in the front door. Several items were disturbed on the inside of the residence but it doesn t appear anything was taken. From: 09/29/ :00pm To: 10/01/ :10pm Frazer Ave. Front door force/ Laundry window opened. Victim states sometime between 12:00pm- 11:10pm someone forced entry into residence and took Five (5) TV s. (Commercial- Furniture) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color Vehicle Year 2009 Body Style State MI License Year Description Red 2009 Chevy Trailblazer Disposition Stolen Victim states sometime between 8:45am- 6:15pm someone stole her 2009 Red Chevy Trail Blazer. Vehicle was parked on the south side of Art Van Furniture. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

7 Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 09/25/2017 3:51pm Southfield Rd. (Commercial- Toxicology) Credit Card, Postage Stamps and some misc. coins were taken from victims 2007 Jeep. Witness states she walked out of business at approx. 3:51pm and immediately noticed subject was in one of her work associates vehicle. When the suspect observed witness he fled on foot. Victim was notified, she checked her vehicle and discovered items missing from her vehicle. Suspect Description: Last Name SUSPECT First Name UNKNOWN DOB (Age) Sex Male Race Black Notes B/M light skinned, LSW a maroon colored shirt, jeans and hair styled in two braids with two puffy pony tails. 09/26/2017 5:50am Providence Dr. (Apartments) 3- Wheels & Tires were taken from Lincoln LS. Officer while on routine patrol discovered vehicle with three (3) wheels & tires missing. The fourth wheel had all the lug nuts removed except two. The vehicle is registered out of state and the owner couldn t be located at this time.

(Bar/ Restaurant) Purse with cash & credit cards where taken. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave their purses, wallets, cell phones or anything of value unattended. Especially in a bar!!!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim states she set her purse down on a table near the bar and walked away from it for approx. 30 minutes. When she returned the purse was gone. Management located the purse at 11:00pm. Cash was missing from the purse. Everything else was still in the purse. From: 09/26/2017 5:00pm To: 09/27/2017 8:20am W Eight Mile Rd. (Apartments) Attempt Larceny from Vending Machine. Investigation revealed there was an attempt larceny of a vending machine. The vending machine takes cash and then dispenses a debit card to run the washers and dryers in the Apartment Complex. Victim states the attempt occurred sometime between the office closing at (5:00pm) and the following morning when it was discovered. (8:20am) It appears the suspect was scared off after removing some molding from the drywall. The vending machine appears to be undamaged.

9 09/28/2017 7:18pm Southfield Rd. (Department Store) Purse with I.D., Cell Phone, Prescriptions, Cash, and Credit Cards were taken. Victim states she placed her purse into her shopping cart, purchased some items and filled a prescription. Victim was tired and mistakenly left the store w/o the shopping cart and all her items. After realizing what she did, she returned to the store to retrieve the shopping cart. Victim discovered her purse with her I.D., cell phone, prescription, cash, and her credit cards were taken. From: 09/28/ :01pm To: 09/29/2017 1:01am Franklin Rd. (Hotel) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2018 Dodge Charger. Victim states sometime between 11:00pm- 1:00am someone stole All Four Wheels & Tires from his 2018 Dodge Charger. The vehicle was parked in the northwest section of the hotel parking lot. From: 09/27/ :00am To: 09/28/ :00am Telegraph Rd. (Gas Station) Spare Tire and other misc. items were taken from the vehicle. Victim states he brought his vehicle in for service at the Gas Station. After picking up the vehicle and driving it home victim discovered that his spare tire and some other misc. items were missing from the vehicle.

10 09/30/ :50pm Southfield Rd. (Bar/ Restaurant) I-Phone 6 was taken. Victim works at Restaurant. On Saturday September 30, 2017@12:50pm victim placed her phone in the podium drawer at the entrance to the establishment. She went to retrieve her phone shortly thereafter and her phone was gone. 09/30/ :06pm Northwestern (Hotel) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Ford Fusion. Victim states she parked her rental vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel at 1:30am. When she returned to the vehicle at 12:00pm she discovered that someone had taken All Four Wheels & Tires from the vehicle.

11 10/01/2017 9:45am Telegraph Rd. (Hotel) LG Smart Phone was taken. Victim (cab driver) states he received a call for service at hotel in the Block of Telegraph Rd. After arriving at the hotel, a female subject entered the back of his vehicle and asked him to take her to the Bank ATM at 10 Mile & Telegraph in Southfield. After arriving at the bank, the female got out of the cab. She immediately returned to the cab and stated she forgot her purse. The female got into the front seat of the cab now and told victim to take her back to the Hotel. While in route the female grabbed victims cell phone and told him she wouldn t give him his cell phone back unless he took her to a Bank on 7 Mile Rd. Victim drove suspect back to the Hotel where he first picked her up and demanded his cell phone back. The female exited victims cab and fled on foot. 12 Heavy Attire Black Dress 10/01/ :15pm Northwestern (Hotel) Jewelry was taken. Victim was staying at hotel in the Block of Northwestern Hwy. She vacated the room on Sunday October 1, While standing in the lobby she realized she left her jewelry in the room. A housekeeping employee retrieved her bag, upon examining her bag she discovered her jewelry was missing. Incident is under investigation.

13 09/30/ :40am Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Smoothie s) Wallet with contents: Contents: Cash, Debit Card, & Driver License Victim works at business in the Block of Telegraph Rd. After arriving home from working her shift on 09/30/2017 victim discovered that her wallet was missing. Victim immediately checked her checking account which showed an attempt to use it at the Gas Station in the Block of W. 12 Mile Rd. Southfield, Mi Upon returning to work victim reviewed the store surveillance video which showed her co-worker taking her wallet out of her purse. Victim then proceeded to the Gas Station which also has surveillance video of the same co-worker trying to use her card. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. From: 10/01/2017 8:00pm To: 10/02/2017 1:15am ½ Mile Rd. 4 Pieces of Lawn Equipment. 1- Snow Blower, 2- Leaf Blowers and 1- Weed Whacker. Victim states sometime between 8:00pm and the following morning at 1:15am someone entered fenced in yard and took several pieces of lawn equipment. Victims car was also ransacked. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

14 Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 09/26/2017 9:07am Pierce St. & Addison St. Purse with contents, bracelet, ring and cell phone were taken from victim. Victim was stationary at the stop sign on w/b Addison and Pierce. Victims vehicle was suddenly rear ended. Victim exited her vehicle, and observed a B/M 6'-4", medium build, short hair, mustache, short beard, wearing a white, green & blue striped shirt standing in front her. The suspect was holding a handgun in his hand and pointing it at victim. The suspect, in a calm voice, ordered victim to give her everything she has. Victim immediately gave suspect her purse and jewelry. The suspect got back into his vehicle, drove in reverse to Templar St. & fled S/B on Templar. A clear Dodge Emblem was recovered from accident scene. Victim thinks the suspect vehicle may have been a Dodge. 16 Unarmed Robbery: 09/26/ :05am W Twelve Mile (Bank) Undisclosed amount of money was given to the suspect. Officers responded to Hold Up Alarm at Bank. Officers arrived and were let into the bank and advised they were robbed. Employee stated a note was passed by the suspect stating Give me the money. There was no mention of a weapon in writing or implied. Employee stated the suspect was a dark skinned black male with a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue gloves on, faded blue jeans & white tennis shoes. The suspect was last seen walking east on the sidewalk on 12 Mile Rd. Suspect Description: Last Name SUSPECT First Name UNKNOWN DOB (Age) 50 Sex M Race BLACK Eye Color Brown Facial Hair Full Beard and Mustache Complexion Dark Build Heavy Height 5' 9" Weight 285 Notes Wore A Gray Hoodie with A Zipper. Blue Work Gloves, Faded Blue Jeans and White Tennis Shoes. Possible Dark Knit Winter Hat Under Hoodie. Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police

17 Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding 09/30/2017 4:30am M-10/ North Park Dr. Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of M-10 & North Park Dr. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit was terminated a short time later in the city of Detroit. Suspect Vehicle: A Silver 2006 Jeep Liberty with a Michigan Plate. The vehicle was occupied by two black males, in their late teens to early 20's, wearing dark clothing. The driver had dreadlocks that reached his shoulders. 18 Special Attention: MDOP Suspect/ Also Fraud Suspect in the Past. 09/26/2017 1:52pm Northwestern Hwy. (Bank) Officer was dispatched to the Bank to investigate MDOP. The Bank Manager advised that the suspect came into the bank to cash a check. The suspect was denied due to being Red Flagged in the banks system as a suspicious person involved in past Fraud Incidents. The Manager advised the suspect, that the bank would not cash her check. The suspect became angry and threw two cups of hot coffee at the Managers computer. It is unknown, the extent of the damage to Managers computer. The suspect was GOA prior to Officers arriving at the bank. The suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. MDOP/ Arson & F/A- 1- Arrest 09/26/2017 3:34am Block of Everett St. Officers responded to residence to investigate domestic situation. The investigation revealed that the dispute was between two female roommates. One of the roommates advised that she was upset about getting pushed down two weeks ago. (Not reported) She stated she went outside to get a stick to hit her roommate. She was yelling through the door at her roommate and she refused to open the door. She stated she set the stick-on fire and placed it under the door to scare her roommate. When her roommate came out of her room she hit her across the arm with the stick that was burning. She also punched her and pushed her down until she ran outside. The suspect told Officers she wanted to go to jail. Victim had a welt on her left arm, and was bleeding from her lower lip. Suspect was taken into custody for Domestic Assault/ MDOP & Arson.

19 Special Attention: LFA s Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. -After parking your vehicle turn your wheels all the way to the right or the left. This will make it difficult to get the lug nuts off the front wheels. Attempt Homicide- 1- Arrest 09/29/ :25pm Block of Evergreen Rd. (Gas Station) Officers were dispatched to the Block of Evergreen (Gas Station) reference a report of a man down claiming to have been shot. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had not been shot but had been stabbed in the upper torso. The victim was able to provide a description of the suspect. B/M wearing a tan jacket and was riding a bicycle N/B on Evergreen Rd. Officers located the suspect attaching his bicycle to a bus at the bus stop at Goldwin & Evergreen Rd. As Officers pulled up the suspect immediately dropped to the ground and surrendered. The suspect was taken into custody and the knife was recovered in a bag attached to his bike. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated and it was reported he was in stable condition. The suspect was transported to the Southfield Jail where he was lodged. -If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers

20 as much information about the suspect(s) and suspect vehicles as you can. Stay on the phone with Dispatchers until the Police arrive. -Lots of lighting around the area(s) that you park your vehicles is also very beneficial. Criminals don t like to work in well lighted areas. They prefer to work in darkness because it s difficult to see them Fleeing & Eluding/ R&O Police Officer- 2- Arrests 09/28/ :42pm Greenfield Rd. & W Eight Mile Rd. On 09/29/2017 at approx. 10:42pm, Officers were patrolling S/B Greenfield Rd. near Northland Drive when they observed a White Chrysler 300 travelling S/B on Greenfield Rd. Officers ran the license plate on vehicle. The vehicle was entered LEIN as a stolen vehicle on 09/28/2017 out of Detroit PD. When Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle fled from them. At some point during the pursuit the vehicle lost control and came to a stop at the corner of Asbury Park and Outer Drive. 5- suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers apprehended two out of the five suspects. Recovered Stolen Vehicle: Status R Recovered Stolen Manufacturer Chrysler Model 300s Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Description Chrysler 300 White First Name

21 CCW Motor Vehicle- 2- Arrests 10/01/2017 4:53am M-10 & W Ten Mile Rd. Officer was on routine patrol when he observed vehicle attempting to avoid police vehicle. Officer got in behind the vehicle and ran the plate on vehicle and it came back as an expired plate. Officer continued to follow vehicle until a stop was made at S/B Northwestern Ser. Dr. & 10 Mile Rd. A second Officer assisted on the stop. The vehicle was occupied by five subjects and it was discovered that the driver had a Graduate Level 2 License with restrictions of operating only between the hours of 5:00am and 10:00pm and no more than one passenger under the age of 21. The driver was in violation of time and there were four passengers under the age of 21. Consent to search the vehicle was given by the driver and a loaded handgun was discovered under the passenger seat. One of the passengers in the vehicle made admissions that the gun was his. When the occupants where asked if there were any other guns in the car the driver kicked off his shoes and Officers located a second gun in one of the drivers shoes. The driver and passenger that made admissions that the gun was his were taken into custody for CCW Motor Vehicle. Two handguns were recovered and placed into Evidence.
