Choose the best expression for each number and write it into the space. 16 Making Concerts Greener After rock concerts, people often (0) leave a lot of rubbish behind. But now one band (1) is showing.. people that it's possible to have green concerts. On a tour by Barenaked Ladies, the U environmental organization Reverb helped the band to be green. For example, the band members (2) let.. companies collect old guitar strings to make into jewellery, eat on plates made (3) of.. potato starch and travel in buses (4). that.. use bio diesel. Fans of Barenaked Ladies (5) even.. see a short presentation about environmental problems before the band plays. inger teven Page thinks this is a (6) good.. idea but says it can mean that some fans forget about the music. «ometimes it could take a few songs to remind the fans (7) that... they're there to have fun,» teven told The New York Times newspaper. But green concerts are becoming (8).. more. popular: Reverb has also helped heryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Red Hot Chili Peppers and others to make their concerts greener. 7 Übertrag 60 6 Read the text about stress. Are the statements right or wrong? Tick the appropriate column. 14 tress Everybody feels stressed sometimes. ometimes stress is positive and can happen if people are happy and excited, like when they win a prize. But people also feel stress if they are nervous, worried or afraid. A little stress is normal and healthy. But too much stress can be very bad, especially for young people. When someone is stressed, changes happen in their body and mind. Their heart beats faster and they start to sweat and feel nervous. If people are stressed for a long time, their bodies become weak and less able to fight illness. tressed people, and especially young ones, are more likely to smoke, drink alcohol, take drugs and even kill themselves. Therefore really bad stress needs medical attention, and the proper medical attention works wonders. This is good news, because teens today are more stressed than ever. A survey in the U revealed that one in three teenagers feels stressed every day. The biggest cause of stress is pressure from family and friends. And the biggest pressure on the teenagers is to get good marks at school. right wrong 1. tress can be caused by positive or negative experiences. X 2. tress can be good for the body, too. X 3. tressed people usually become alcohol and drug addicts. X 4. There is no medical treatment against stress. X 5. A survey showed that most teenagers feel stressed daily. X 6. Many teenagers feel stressed by their family. X 7. The main cause of stress for people is the pressure from school. Mick and amie are interested in visiting historic buildings. Their eight-year-old son likes looking after animals and playing on the beach. G 4. Kathy enjoys walking in the countryside and wants to try climbing in a group. As she will be away from the campsite most of the day, she needs to buy food to take with her. E 5. Ken s family wants a seaside campsite where the children, aged five and eight, can join in organised activities, while the parents go walking in the countryside. D A Barton Campsite This campsite is in a peaceful location, within minutes of a safe, sandy beach, and an hour from a pretty market town. Inland, there are castles and churches to visit.
