16 Emergency Ride Home FDOT District One Commuter Services

17 Emergency Ride Home Program Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One Commuter Services Emergency Ride Home program reimburses employees for transportation home in case of an emergency. Employee must carpool, bike or take transit to work. FDOT Emergency Ride Home Program is partner-based and available to persons whose employer is a Commuter Services partner. Thirty employers in Sarasota County are partners in the FDOT Commuter Services program. 17

19 Express Bus Outreach and Marketing City of North Port staff has been marketing Express Bus to North Port residents. News and T.V. stories on SCAT Express City website link to SCAT and SCAT Express Sarasota County has ongoing outreach. Branding for SCAT Express Color and Black and White Advertisements News releases SCAT is working to create a second wave of marketing the Express to coincide with the new Express Route 90X. 19

20 Try Transit Day on April 19, 2012 FDOT District One Commuter Services is organizing a Try Transit Day on April 19, 2012 with the participation of communities and transit systems in the district. North Port, Sarasota County and SCAT will celebrate Try Transit Day with FDOT on April 19, 2012 starting with a Sarasota County Try Transit Day proclamation on April 11,
