2 Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 12/03/ :11am Telegraph Rd. (Commercial Fast Food) Rear door was opened with some type of device to defeat the latch. Officers were dispatched to the Block of Telegraph Rd. (Commercial Fast Food) for an alarm. While in route, dispatched advised Officers that another agency Special Investigations Unit was surveying a possible B&E suspect leaving the business. The unit was following the suspect east on Ten Mile Rd. Officers responding discovered good B&E at the business. One cash register was missing from the business. The other agency stopped the suspect vehicle and had the suspect in custody. The cash register was recovered. The suspect was turned over to our Department. 3 Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 11/30/2015 8:47am To: 11/30/2015 2:30pm 12/04/ :40am Westhampton Front door was kicked in Lahser Rd. (Residential-Condo s) Window adjacent to Kitchen Door was broken out with a hammer. Suspect(s) then reached in and unlocked door. Victim states sometime between 8:47am- 2:30pm someone forced entry into the residence by kicking in the front door. The home was ransacked and two TV s and a Play Station are missing. Officers responded to an alarm at residence. Upon arrival Officers located a window broken out and entry was made into the residence through the adjacent kitchen door. Officers cleared the residence and observed the bedroom on the second floor was vandalized but everything else appeared to be in order. The owner of residence advises one TV is missing. 12/05/2015 2:49pm From: 12/05/2015 6:15am To: 12/05/2015 7:00am Aberdeen St. Attempt Only. Screen removed and outer pane of glass was broken W Nine Mile Rd (Apartments) Front door was left unlocked. Tips: Let trusted neighbors know if you are not going to be at home Be cautious about who you let in your home for service and repairs Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free home security inspection (248) On Saturday December 5, 2015@10:00am victim discovered the screen removed from a window on her home and the outer glass pane broken. Victim last noticed the widow undisturbed a month ago. No suspect information. Entry wasn t gained into the residence. Victim states he left his apartment at 6:15am. Victim returned to his apartment at 7:00am and discovered that 2-TV and a Laptop were taken from his apartment. Victim advises he left his door unlocked.

Victim states the vehicle was parked in the parking lot near the N/W end of the parking lot. (Office Building) It was later reported that the vehicle was mistakenly Repossessed. The vehicle was returned to the owner. Victim report's that she parked and locked her vehicle at her Apartment Complex at 9:00pm on 11/30/2015. Victim came out to her vehicle on 12/01/2015 at 7:45am and the vehicle was gone.

(Commercial- Grocery Store) W Nine Mile Rd (Apartments) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model F-250 Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2005 Body Style PK - Pickup Truck State MI License Year 2016 Description FORD F-250 PICKUP BLACK Status A Attempted Stolen Manufacturer DODGE Model INTREPID Color MAR - Maroon or Burgundy Vehicle Year 2001 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2016 Victim stated that he came to work today at around 830am and when he went to leave at 1:00pm he noticed his F-250 was taken from the lot. The vehicle was locked with the keys in his possession. Attacked vehicle was parked and locked in the east side carport at Apartment Complex. Sometime between 12:00am- 8:40am someone forced entry into the vehicle and attempted to steal the vehicle. Both drivers and passengers side front door locks were damaged and there was extensive damage to column area by peeling open the steering column and causing damage to the ignition by removing it.

Victim s daughter woke her up approx. 90 minutes later to tell her the vehicle was gone. Victim believes that her ex-boyfriend may have taken the vehicle. Ex-boyfriend still has the second set of keys. The ex-boyfriend has been identified and incident is under investigation. From: 12/04/2015 9:15am To: 12/04/ : Southfield Rd. (Commercial- Household) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer FORD Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 1997 Body Style State MI License Year Description 1997 Ford F350 Utility truck Notes Dark Leather Interior. Side Cab Doors in The Back Victim states he came to business around 9:15am to get work supplies for a job he was doing. Victim finished shopping, came outside, and saw his truck was not there. Victim also stated when he arrived at business he got out of his truck to get something out of the back, he forgot his keys in the truck on the driver's seat and the vehicle was left unlocked.

When she returned to where she parked the vehicle at 2:30pm it was gone. 12/05/2015 8:33am Lee Baker Dr. Status I - Information Only Manufacturer Chevy Model Suburban Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2005 Body Style UT - Utility (Jimmy/Bronco/etc.) State Mi License Year 2016 Description SUV Victim states he parked & locked his vehicle in his driveway at residence around 8:30pm. The following morning at 8:30am victim discovered that someone had stolen his vehicle.

8 From: 12/05/2015 8:30pm To: 12/06/2015 9:00am Catalpa Dr. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Honda Model CRV Color GRY - Gray Vehicle Year 2013 Body Style State MI License Year 2016 Description Gray 2013 Honda CRV Victim last saw the vehicle on 12/05/2015 at approximately 8:30pm. Victim discovered it missing on 12/06/2015 at approximately 9:00am. Victims son who was not on scene, told his mother that the vehicle was parked at 2:00am. It appears that the vehicle was taken sometime between 2:00am- 9:00am. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Owner s manual was taken. 2)2014 Ford Escape-Right rear window was broken out. Nothing was taken. 3)2015 Ford Escape- Drivers side rear window was broken out. Nothing was taken. Witness states he observed a Silver Chevy Blazer leave the area where several vehicles were broken into. A White or Silver Mazda SUV possibly a CX-5 followed the Silver Chevy Blazer out of the lot. It was Later discovered the Silver Chevy Blazer had just been stolen out of the lot and the Silver Mazda SUV most likely where the suspect(s) in the LFA s & Auto Theft. 4)2008 Mercury Mountaineer- Drivers window was broken out. Nothing was taken. 5) S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2007 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State

11 From: 12/03/2015 8:00am To: 12/03/2015 5:00pm 2000 Town Ctr. (Multi- Office Center Parking Garage) Attempted to take Wheels & Tires from 2015 Dodge Charger. Victim parked vehicle in the Parking Garage at Office Center at approx. 8:00am. Upon return at approx. 5:00pm, victim pulled from the parking spot and the front right passenger side wheel fell off the vehicle. Victim then noticed the lug nuts had been removed from that wheel in an apparent attempt to take Wheels & Tires.

12 12/04/2015 4:30pm Northwestern (Hotel) Attempted to take Wheels & Tires from 2015 Ford F-150. A window was broken out and several items were taken from vehicles interior. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave valuables in the interior of their vehicles! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens that witness car alarm activation especially at 4:30am should immediately call 911 and report the alarm activation! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Officers were patrolling the parking lot in the Block of Northwestern Hwy (Hotel). In the south lot of the hotel Officers located a vehicle with its wheel lug nuts removed and lying on the ground next to the wheels. Someone obviously had attempted to take the Wheels & Tires. Officers also discovered that one of the vehicles windows had been broken out. The owner of the vehicle stated he was missing several items that were all in the back seat of the vehicle. A witness staying at the hotel stated he heard the attacked vehicle's alarm go off at 4:30am. He stated he heard a vehicle with a loud muffler speed off west out of the parking lot. Witness stated he opened his curtains and saw the attacked vehicle's lights flashing and alarm sounding. Witness did not call the Police?

13 From: 12/04/ :27am To: 12/04/ :33am From: 12/04/2015 6:00pm To: 12/06/2015 5:00pm W Eight Mile (Commercial Grocery Store) Oxley Rd (Apartments) 2-Wheels & Tires were taken from 2012 GMC Acadia. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This incident occurred in broad daylight with lots of pedestrian traffic to and from the business!!!! Citizens should always be on the lookout for suspicious activity when shopping! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Status S - Stolen License Year 2016 Description MICHIGAN LICENSE PLATE Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked Surveillance Video from business shows a Dark Colored Chrysler Minivan possibly a late 1990's model. The front grill had the cross style design. According to the time stamp on the surveillance video the suspect vehicle pulls into the parking lot from W. Eight Mile Rd and backs in next to the victim s vehicle at 11:27am. One suspect exits the driver s side of the vehicle. At 11:31am the suspect vehicle repositions itself by turning around and pulls in the same parking spot next to the victim's vehicle. At 11:33am the suspect vehicle backs out of the space and leaves out of the same driveway onto W. Eight Mile Rd. The suspect(s) were able to get 2- Wheels & Tires from victims 2012 GMC Acadia. Victim parked the vehicle (1993 Cadillac) at her Apartment Complex on Friday 12/04/2016 at approximately 6:00pm. On 12/06/2015 at approximately 5:00pm victim discovered her license plate was taken from her vehicle.

14 Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 11/30/2015 8:43pm Northwestern (Hotel) Undisclosed amount of cash was taken from victim. Victim stated that he was visiting a female friend at the Hotel. Victim exited the room and a white female with red hair coaxed him into another room. The female illustrated her price by the half an hour and price for an hour of her sexual favors. (Prostitute) Victim didn t want to participate with the female. The female then shouted "I lost my money!" Victim questioned her about the lost money. At that time a black male in a dark hooded sweat shirt entered the room. The black male grabbed towards victims waistband and demanded his money. Victim surrendered his cash to suspect. Victim quietly left the room and retreated back to his room where he called the Hotel Desk Clerk. (Desk Clerk called PD) Victim returned to his room. When Officers arrived on scene the suspect couldn t be located and nobody was in the room where incident occurred. The suspect that rented the room was identified and incident is under investigation. 16 12/06/2015 7:04am Northwestern (Hotel) Undisclosed amount of cash in assorted bills were in the envelope. Undisclosed amount of cash was in the Register. Victim observed suspect (B/M) enter through the rear (north) door into the lobby and go to the breakfast station. He was in the lobby for about five minutes then exited through the door he entered. Two minutes later the same B/M reentered the lobby and again went to the breakfast station. Victim stated she did not think anything of the subject in the lobby and believed him to just be staying there. The suspect then made his way behind the front desk and she believed had a gun concealed inside a brown paper bag. The suspect demanded all the money. Victim complied and handed over the envelope on the counter then opened the register and gave suspect what was in the register. After getting the money suspect fled out the same door he came in at. Officers reviewed video surveillance from Hotel and it matches what victim stated happened. 19 Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: (Larcenies) Evergreen (Southfield Ice Arena) Several Cellphones were stolen from the male locker room at the Southfield Ice Arena. The incident took place between 9:00pm- 10:00pm while the victims were on the ice for practice. A witness observed a lone black male in the locker room during the above listed time frame. Arrests by SPD Officers: Assault with Intent to Murder- 1- Arrest 11/30/ :21am Block of Maplewood Dr. Officers were dispatched to the Block of Maplewood (Group Home) on the report of a stabbing. Officers located victim he was bleeding and had an obvious wound to his chest area. When Officers arrived they located one of the residents that were wounded from being cut with a knife. The suspect was then located and he made admissions that he stabbed victim. He was taken into custody for Assault with Intent to Murder. Victim was transported to Hospital where he was reported in stable condition.

20 Special Attention: Larceny Of Wheels & Tires This Past Week. 1) 2000 Block of Town Ctr. (Town Center Parking Structure) Attempted to take Wheels & Tires from 2015 Dodge Charger. 2) Block of W Eight Mile (Commercial Grocery Store) 2-Wheels & Tires were taken from 2012 GMC Acadia. Surveillance Video from Foodland shows a Dark Colored Chrysler Minivan possibly a late 1990's model. The front grill had the cross style design. 3) Block of Northwestern (Hotel) Attempted to take Wheels & Tires from 2015 Ford F-150. A window was also broken out and several items were taken from vehicles interior. Resisting & Obstructing Officer- 1- Arrest 11/30/2015 5:36pm Block of Franklin Hills Dr. Officers responded to Domestic/ Family Trouble at residence. It was also reported that one of the combatants had a gun. While in route to location it was reported that male suspect had put the gun away. Officers arrived on scene and located suspect in the foyer of the residence. The suspect told Officers to leave. Officers explained to suspect that they were not leaving until they completed their investigation. When Officers started questioning suspect about what happened he abruptly stood up and got into a fighting/ threatening stance. He was instructed to sit down numerous times but he refused. At one point he attempted to walk away and leave the area. Officers told subject to sit down one more time and he still refused. When Officers attempted to take subject into custody for interfering in Officers investigation he resisted arrest. Officers used the necessary force to take subject into custody. Suspect was secured and lodged for Resisting & Obstructing Officers.

21 Special Attention: LFA s Block of Lahser Rd. (Private Golf Course) 4- Vehicles had their windows broken out and the vehicles interiors were ransacked. 1-Auto Theft. Witness at Golf Course states he observed a Silver Chevy Blazer leave the area where several vehicles were broken into. A White or Silver Mazda SUV possibly a CX-5 followed the Silver Chevy Blazer out of the lot. It was Later discovered the Silver Chevy Blazer was a fresh Auto Theft and the Silver Mazda SUV most likely were the suspect(s) in the LFA s & Auto Theft. Vehicles that were Attacked/ Stolen: Possession of Heroin & Crack Cocaine NOLOP 1- Arrest 12/02/2015 7:58pm Telegraph Rd. & 9 Mile Rd. Officers initiated a traffic stop on a White 2005 Chevy Malibu on N/B Telegraph Rd., south of Nine Mile Rd. The attached license plate on the vehicle returned No Record on Computer. Initial contact with the lone driver revealed that he didn t have a Valid Driver s License on his person. Further investigation by Officers revealed there was marijuana residue, suspected crack cocaine and suspected Heroin in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for NOLOP/ Possession of Heroin/ Possession of Crack Cocaine. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected heroin and crack cocaine; both tested positive. There was also a quantity of currency that was forfeited. 1) Ford Mustang- Right passenger window was broken out. Owner s manual was taken. 2)2014 Ford Escape-Right rear window was broken out. Nothing was taken. 3)2015 Ford Escape- Drivers side rear window was broken out. Nothing was taken. 4)2008 Mercury Mountaineer- Drivers window was broken out. Nothing was taken.

22 5) S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color SIL - Silver or OWI- 1- Arrest Inc.# 15/ :46am Southfield Rd/ Mt. Vernon Officer found a disabled occupied vehicle in the thru- lanes of Southfield Road near Mt. Vernon. The driver had the odor of intoxicants coming from his person and appeared to be under the influence. An OWI investigation was conducted and the operator was arrested for OWI and lodged. OWI- 1- Arrest 12 Mile/ Telegraph Rd. Officer initiated a traffic stop for an Invalid License Plate. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI.

23 Special Attention: Possible Attempt CSC on 14 Year Old Female. On Tuesday 12/01/2015 between 9:00am-10:00am while walking from her home 8 Mile & Lahser to her school, a 14 year old female was approached at 9 Mile & Lahser by an unknown B/M subject in a Black, Older Model Jeep. Victim described suspect as a B/M, Dark Complexion, Age 40-50, Full Beard and Mustache, Short Dreads and Dirty. The male subject asked her if she needed a ride in which she agreed to get into suspect s vehicle? The subject asked her how old she was and she told him "14." The subject knowing this still asked juvenile if she wanted to have sex. The juvenile declined and she was dropped off at her school w/o incident. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Parents should always talk to their children and remind their children that they should never get into a strangers car. In this incident the 14 year old female was fortunate that nothing really bad happened!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> OWI- 1- Arrest 5:35am Block of Mahon Officer was dispatched to address on a vehicle that struck 2 mailboxes and was on the front lawn of residence. Upon arrival driver was asleep at the wheel. Witness states vehicle almost struck him prior to hitting mailboxes. Investigation revealed driver was intoxicated and the driver was arrested for OWI.
