2 Well folks, here it is the first of March and boy am I glad. We missed a February newsletter for a couple of reasons, so some of this article may be old news. The Five Chapter Breakfast was a great success. I got nothing but compliments on our food and the way we put it all together, thanks to all of you that helped. There should be pictures somewhere in the newsletter. I also want to thank the local businesses for their help and support for our Five Chapter Breakfast. I hope all of you will remember them when you are considering a service or product they have. Charlie has put together some good rides for March, considering that bike week is coming and the Florida District Rally. (March 28,29 and 30th) Again if any of you have any suggestions for rides or kicktires let the staff know. We are going to do some overnighters, Savannah Ga., has been suggested. Any of you planning to go to the District Rally I have pre-registration forms. Well I hope to see you all soon on the road. HARRY

3 6 Chapter Breakfast in Largo On a cold, damp February morning a group of intrepid Chapter 2D members braved the elements and rode to Largo to that area s 6-chapter breakfast fundraiser. At the ungodly hour of 5:30 AM Harry and Lynn, Mike and Charlotte, Mike and Pat, Mo and Debbie, Carl and Gail, and John left for the 3-hour ride across the State. It was 54 degrees out when we left. Temperature continued to drop as we rode. Our first stop was at Walmart so Harry could get a sweatshirt and everyone else could just warm up a bit inside the store. As we came out of the store, the rain started. Quickly, everyone donned their rain gear and then it was back out on the road. Rain didn t last too long, luckily, but still a damp cold is bone-chilling. We made our way across to the West Coast of Florida uneventfully. Shortly before reaching destination we made a wrong turn. After realizing the mistake we retraced our steps and eventually found our way to Homer s Buffet. Temperature there was about 48 degrees. Cold! We enjoyed a good breakfast, especially hot coffee, and some members even won door prizes There were quite a few Goldwingers at the breakfast, but it looked as though weather may have hurt turnout somewhat as I don t think there were as many as attended our event. Somewhere around 11:30 we began the trek back home. Mo and Debbie and Mike and Pat broke off from the group to go do some shopping (for safety chrome I think). The rest went on towards home. After a stop at a Village Inn off I-4 to warm up over coffee, soup!
