The couple said they were approached last year by the Spirit of 45 orgaizatio, ad gladly accepted their challege to travel the coutry o their tour bus. Their missio was to ot oly hoor the veteras of WWII, but to ecourage citizes to participate i evets across America, all leadig up to the aiversary o Aug. 14, Amog the evets will be a atioal Memorial Day parade, military flyovers, ad much more. After their tour bus was wrapped i patriotic colors ad photos, the pair set out i February o their twoyear quest. Sice that time, the O Neills have already logged more tha 20,000 miles o the road, visitig 34 states. A call was made to Health First Family Care Ceter before admittig Caleb to the hospital ad he was met the same day, settig the stage to provide the ecessary resources that would chage his future health outcomes. He met with a case worker who developed a pla of care which icluded medical treatmet, prescriptio coverage ad a referral to the Salvatio Army who created a life pla for Caleb. His pla provided iterview skills, buildig his resume, ad access to appropriate clothes (from the Salvatio Army Thrift Store) for his iterviews. Caleb was able to secure employmet ad trasitioed from the Carey House (the local shelter) to a retig a room at a local roomig house. He cotiues to work with his case worker ad also is takig care of his health issues through the collaborative support of various agecies. I 2002, the legislative body authorized 50 percet, or 5,000 whichever is greater of the Lad Use Chage Tax (LUCT) reveue collected to be deposited i the Coservatio/ Lad Use Chage Tax Fud (Article 8, 2002 Tow Meetig). The Red Raiders, playig i their first seaso as a varsity program after two years at the club level, picked up their first-ever victory o April 29. We played all JV teams last year so to get a wi this quick is a great start for us. Belmot, which lost its first game by just oe goal to Pelham before losses to Co-Val ad Derryfield, fell behid early i this oe. Merrimack Valley led 3-1 i the first half before Emily Eis stopped the bleedig with a tally to cut the deficit to 3-2. We have t really come out ad had fast starts so far, Zeller admitted. The other wier o the day was seior Joe Boles, who slid dow to the 400 meters ad cotiued his strog ways with a victory i 53.1 secods that qualified him for the Divisio III champioship meet. Belmot played a pair of tight low-scorig games i fallig to Lacoia (3-2) ad Newfoud (4-2), droppig its record to 3-2 eterig this week after a 3-0 start to the seaso. I m happy with where we re at right ow, said LeBlac. We re gettig o base, drawig walks ad puttig the ball i play. Ad we re playig well defesively so good thigs have bee happeig. I the loss to Lacoia, the host Sachems scored a walk-off wi with a RBI sigle i the bottom of the seveth at Robbie Mills Field o Friday. The Raiders trailed 1-0 i the top of the fifth before scorig twice i the frame to take a 2-1 advatage. Jaso Taylor walked ad moved up whe Bret Miery reached o a error. The pair moved up to secod ad third base with two outs, ad Taylor scored o a Joey Levesque RBI sigle that tied the game. Caleb Droui came through oe batter later, as he drove Miery home with a double for the 2-1 lead.
