1 November 2018 Issue #304 President s Chatter This month went by so fast it seems like I just locked the Library door yesterday. Getting the cars stored away and I almost forgot to drain the water out of my 1928 sedan. My project this winter will be focused on my 1913 Model T s engine. I should be done by January. Also I need to rewire the head lights on the 1928, along with a few other things. Paul Dubreuil stopped by the other day and he would like to have any dates set in writing for tours or have something planned for each month in This is something that needs to be done. We could also look into some Saturday workshops hosted by a member who might need help or who just wants moral support while doing a job on his own, if nothing else, a good tire kicking session. C'ya all at the next meeting November 27th. Don t forget your dues for 2019 are due. President, Directions to our Meeting Meeting Location! The Harwinton Public Library (80 Bentley Drive Harwinton, CT 06791) From Route 8- Take exit 42 onto Rt. 118 east toward Harwinton. Travel 2.5 miles on Rt. 118 to Bentley Drive. Take a right onto Bentley Drive, the Library is a half mile on the left. Editor s Note: If anyone has items for sale, just them to me and I will be glad to post them in the newsletter. Our newsletter has a wide range of exposure being on the internet. Please your requests by the 15th of the month. Also, articles are always appreciated. cabrioletdave@yahoo.com

Looking for ideas for tours for the up coming season. Paul would like to have something in place for each month something that we have been trying to do for sometime now. But will need volunteers. We want to keep this club alive and active. Don will get a sample schedule from other clubs for ideas for tours and or events. One idea was mentioned by Dick Wells after reading the latest Restorer of a group who turn their Model A's into snowmobiles for winter rides. This might be an event to travel to just watch. Show and Tell: Ed Covill had his failed water pump to show where the bearing moved in the housing that caused the shaft & bearing to fail. showed how he removed drain plug threads that were stuck in the bottom of a radiator that he was unable to remove with an Easy Out.
