1 Monday Silicone Bofors Circle Silicon 12:35:00 Warning Issued 1.61 m to 1.66 m Control identified a suspicious coloured male that was walking very close to the Kimberly Clarke fence carrying a backpack, the ECID security were dispatched and confirmed that they caught the suspect burning copper wires behind the fence, they confiscated the wires and the suspect was given a warning. Wednesday Langa Station Langa 12:03:39 Stolen type Distinguish. CF Nissan Red Sedan 0 Control was informed by Mr Ord about a red Nissan Sentra that was stolen by Giant Supermarket. The ECID Law Enforcement identified the vehicle parked at the back of shacks next to Langa station and he informed the ground response unit. Pineland SAPS and the owner of the vehicle were contacted; the owner retrieved his vehicle and refused to open up the case.
2 Tuesday Langa Station Langa 10:37:00 Cap 1.67 m to 1.75 m African Control room identified a group of African males in uniform dragging a male suspect on Gunners Circle opposite Hawkins Avenue. Control asked the ECID security what was happening, they confirmed that the suspect was trying to run away from Metrorail guards one of whom he assaulted inside the station and ran away. The suspect was caught on Gunners Circle was brought back to the station and a case was opened. Monday SA Metal SA Metal 19:04:36 PM Factory Fire type Distinguish. CA Red Truck 2 The ECID security reported that there was smoke coming from No. 95 Bofors Circle and requested the controller to phone the Fire department, the Fire department arrived on site, and no injuries were reported. 3 Nampak Corrugated 19:29:02 type Distinguish. CY Toyota White Kombi Fair 1 Control identified a white Toyota Siyaya at the corner of Kinghall and Bofors Circle. Control dispatched the ECID security to respond, they confirmed that the driver was intoxicated. Control phoned Elsie s River SAPS who confirmed that they would dispatch a vehicle, the suspected was arrested and the case was held by SAPS. Tuesday Silicone Silicon 11:51:00 Warning Issued 18 to m to 1.66 m 18 to m to 1.75 m Control identified two suspicious coloured males carrying a steel gate going towards Kimberly Clarke s back fence and immediately despatched the ECID security, they confirmed that they caught the suspects inside Kimberly Clarke loitering. When they questioned them, they confirmed that they got the gate in Bishop Lavis. The ECID law enforcement and security confiscated the gate and the suspects were released. 4 ECID HQ 18:50:10 Smash and grab type Distinguish. CY Ford Maroon Sedan 1 Control room identified four vehicles that were parked next to the Vanguard Traffic lights. Control dispatched the ECID security to respond, the ECID security confirmed that a female driver of the Ford Sierra was lying next to her vehicle, after she was robbed by two African males. Apparently her vehicle had broken down as she was approaching the traffic lights; two males coming from the direction of Langa opened the driver s door and dragged her out of the vehicle. The suspects took two of her phones and a hand bag which was full of her belongings and ran towards Vanguard Bridge. The ECID security reported that she was in shock when they arrived, but there were no injuries. Pinelands SAPS and Ambulance services were called, they both arrived. Furthermore her brother-in-law was also on scene and he towed her vehicle home while she was taken to N1 Hospital. Tuesday ECID HQ ECID HQ 11:56:06 Accident Driver Driver CY CA Toyota Volvo White Grey type Hatch Back Sedan Fair Distinguish. 1 1 Control identified an accident between a white Toyota Tazz and a grey Volvo. SAPS and a break-down vehicle were on the scene. Control immediately requested the ECID security to respond. Furthermore the ECID security confirmed that both drivers did not want any assistance as they were waiting for a tow truck. Security Impact: X LOW MED HIGH
5 Sunday Nampak Corrugated Nampak Corrugated 01:50:52 Armed Robbery type Distinguish. CY Nissan White Bakkie 0 Control identified a police vehicle parked near the Stuttafords gate in Kinghall Avenue and dispatched the ECID security to investigate. The ECID security responded and confirmed that there was an attempted armed robbery of a white Nissan bakkie. SAPS and the forensics team were busy taking statements and finger prints. According to the officers, two armed coloured males forced them to open the gate and they demanded the keys for the vehicle, they took the white bakkie loaded with unknown items but it stalled outside the gate and they fled the area with an old Toyota vehicle. Friday Dacres &Moorsom Dacres and Moorson 09:37:07 Bald 1.76 m to 2.00 m Control identified a suspicious male coming from Dacres Avenue, he picked up a plastic bag and he took off his jacket. Control monitored the suspect taking a gun out of his waist and wrapped it in the jacket. He put the jacket in the plastic bag and ran towards Kinghall siding on the railway tracks. Control informed the ECID security and the entire ground unit responded and the suspect was apprehended as he approached Kinghall siding. It was confirmed that Mr Abrahams was carrying a plastic fire arm. The security took the suspect to Elsie s Police Station where he was released as there was nothing suspicious except for the toy gun.
