8 SCAMP-O-REE PARTICIPATION CHECKLIST Check off items that your Troop/Pack/Crew completes to earn your Scamp-O-Ree Patches! Build a Campsite Gateway Host and staff an Exhibit to share Wear uniforms properly and proudly Score 75+ on your site inspection

9 CAMPSITE SCORING SHEET The District Commissioner will have someone inspect your campsite sometime on Saturday. Please don t break camp until mid-afternoon, so that there is time to inspect everyone. The unit members should work together to make sure the site is inspection-ready throughout the day. Campsite: Unit: Points Possible Category Unit s Score 10 Flag and Gateway Entrance to campsite: Gateway built, Flags displayed (weather permitting), trails into campsite kept clean and neat. 10 Tents & Shelters: Screens closed, tents ventilated with doors, flaps, etc. rolled up neatly to air (weather permitting), ropes tied properly, no gear on ropes or poles. 10 Sleeping Areas: Bedding rolled neatly or flat, appropriate number of people to each tent (2 in a 2-person tent, etc) 10 Clothing & Personal Gear: Gear stored neatly under bunk and kept clear of tent entrance & exit, no open food containers. 10 Nearest Latrine: Seats down & dry, toilet paper stocked, floor swept, wash area clean, soap & overall tidiness (Units share the responsibility for the nearest latrine). 20 Safety: Knives, axes & tools stored properly, clotheslines above 6ft, no tripping hazards. 20 General Appearance: Overall impression of campsite, cool projects done to show off Scouting Skills, etc. 10 Leave No Trace: No vehicles in campsite, 7 principles followed, no litter, etc. 100 Total Unit Leader Signature: Inspector Signature:

10 DEPARTURE PROCEDURES Before leaving, unit leaders (e.g., the Cub Master & Denner, Scout Master & Senior Patrol Leader, or Varsity Coach and Team Captain) should have someone from the activity staff check them out of the activity. The District Commissioner, District Executive, Scamp-O-Ree Chair, or other representative will be made available to check your unit out. They will collect any lost & found items, and ensure that the location is left in as-good-or-better condition compared to our arrival. Campsite: Unit: Items to Inspect Initials Gateway Entrance to campsite: Gateway taken down, no materials left behind. Flags rolled/folded & put away. Tents & Shelters: Tents and ground cloths collected. No holes from stakes or trenches left unfilled. Personal Gear: Ball personal items packed in vehicles, nothing left behind. Any lostand-found items turned in to activity staff. Nearest Latrine: Left in clean condition. Leave No Trace: No vehicles in campsite, 7 principles followed, no litter, etc. Patches: Unit received patches for each participant. Unit Leader Signature: Inspector Signature:
