Victim states sometime between 10:30am- 5:07pm someone gained entry through an unlocked back bedroom window. Electronic items, jewelry, and 2- TV s were taken. The home was ransacked. 12/28/2016 4:01pm Murray Crescent Rear door was forced open. Officers were dispatched to check the residence for a Home Invasion. Officers discovered good Home Invasion. It appeared that several of the appliances were taken. On 12/28/2016 Detectives responded to Livonia PD to interview breaking and entering suspect who they had in custody. During interview suspect confessed to two B&E s in Southfield. Detectives assisted Livonia PD in the execution of a search warrant on suspects home. The appliances from the two B&E s that occurred on 12/27/2016 were recovered during the search warrant. Charges pending on suspect.

3 12/28/ :30am Los Palmos Rear Sliding Patio Door was forced open. The victim has had numerous Home Invasions and thefts at his Southfield properties in recent months. On today s date victim arrived at his home around 10:30 am and found the rear door forced open and 4 home appliances had been stolen. Livonia PD was conducting surveillance on residence in their city that they suspected may be involved in these types of Home Invasions. Livonia Officers observed subject leave the residence in a pickup truck with some type of appliance in the bed of the truck. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and through the Officers investigation the subject driving the vehicle admitted to having several stolen appliances in his garage. The subject was later interviewed by Southfield Detectives and he made admissions to two separate Home Invasions in Southfield where appliances were taken. A SW was obtained for suspect s residence and Stolen Appliances were recovered for two separate Home Invasions that occurred in Southfield. Stolen property recovered in the garage related to Southfield Home Invasions are as follows: Block of Los Palmos - New Frigidaire Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave And Dishwasher Block of Murray Crescent - New Samsung Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, Dryer, and Washing Machine.

4 From: 12/29/ :42am To: 12/29/ :46am Windflower Dr. (Residential- Villa s) Front door was pried open. Victim states he left his residence at 10:30am. He received a call from his alarm company at 11:42am advising of alarm trip at his residence. It doesn t appear that entry was gained into the residence due to the alarm. 12/30/ :42am Helen St. Suspect broke out the bottom of the lock box hanging on the front door to remove the key. Victim states someone entered the home in the past two weeks by braking lock box on front door and removing the key. Once inside the residence suspect(s) stole the unattached Allied Furnace that was on the first floor of residence. 5 Automobile Thefts: 12/26/2016 1:00am Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details W Eight Mile Rd. & Beech Rd. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHRYSLER Model 300 Color Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style State MI License Year Description 2016 Chrysler 300 Apple IPhone was also in the vehicle. Victim states he pulled into the car wash to vacuum his vehicle. He backed in between two vacuum machines and exited the vehicle, leaving his driver's side door open. He was putting coins into the vacuum machine on the driver's side of his vehicle when he turned around and saw his vehicle being driven away. He observed his vehicle travelling south across Eight Mile into Redford. Victims IPhone 6 Plus was in the car at the time of the theft. Victim stated he was alone and did not get a good look at suspect. On this same date at approx. 3:00am Livonia PD found the vehicle in their city with a female standing nearby at a gas station. The female stated she was with victim earlier in the evening at an unknown location. She stated she got into his Chrysler 300 and they began driving. She said she started feeling sick and she thought the victim might have put an unknown drug into her drink earlier tonight. Female stated she remembered pulling into the car wash. She said while victim was outside of the vehicle, she climbed into the driver's seat and drove away. Female said she ran out of gas in Livonia before Livonia PD located her. Incident is under further Investigation.

6 12/26/ :00pm Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Collision Shop) Status SR - Both Stolen And Recovered Manufacturer Ford Model F250 RED - Red Vehicle Year 2006 Body Style PK - Pickup Truck State MI Description 2006 Ford F250 Pickup Truck Recovered Date/Time 12/28/ :00pm A tip was received by Auto Theft Task Force from a subject that sold his 2006 Ford F-250 on Craigslist. When he sold the vehicle it had 101,000 miles. The subject noticed his truck was up for sale again on Craigslist and now it s showing only 60,000 miles. The person listing the vehicle on Craigslist was traced to a Collision Shop in Southfield. Southfield Detectives went to the collision shop and spoke to the subject that listed the vehicle and about the discrepancy in the mileage. Incident is under investigation. Suspect was identified. 12/29/2016 5:58am Village House Dr. N. (Residential- Condo s) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model SILVERADO Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2003 Body Style PK - Pickup Truck State MI Description 2003 silver Chevrolet Silverado Victim states she parked her 2003 Silver Chevy Silverado in front of her Condo Unit at 5:00pm. The following morning at 6:00am victim discovered her vehicle had been stolen.

7 12/29/2016 3:55pm Galleria Officentre (Commercial- Officentre) Status I - Information Only Manufacturer CHRYSLER Model 300 Color GRY - Gray Vehicle Year 2012 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year Description 2012 Chrysler 300 Officer was dispatched on suspicious vehicle at location. Officer located the vehicle, ran the plate and it came back stolen out of Detroit. The vehicle was occupied and investigation ensued. Officer s investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen after a domestic between the two owners. The female that occupied the vehicle at this time is listed as one of the owners. She advises her ex-boyfriend, the second owner must have reported the vehicle stolen after she left with the vehicle. Recovery of the vehicle was completed and DPD was notified.

8 12/30/ :44pm W Eight Mile Rd. & Shiawassee Rd. Status I - Information Only Manufacturer MITSUBISHI Model ECLIPSE Color Vehicle Year 2003 Body Style State MI Description Stolen 2003 Mitsubishi Officers were on routine patrol and ran plate on vehicle. The plate came back stolen out of neighboring jurisdiction on 12/30/2016 at 12:40pm. Officers initiated a traffic stop near Eight Mile and Beech. The lone driver of the vehicle was questioned and there were several inconsistencies in his story. He also gave Officers several alias names. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and she states the vehicle was left running unattended when it was taken. Suspect was arrested for R&C Motor Vehicle and Obstruct P.O.

(Commercial- Auto Dealership) Status SR - Both Stolen And Recovered Manufacturer HYUNDAI Model GENESIS Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2013 Body Style State MI License Year Description 2013 HYUNDAI GENESIS Recovered Date/Time 01/01/ :32pm Victim states he brought his vehicle into Auto Dealership for repair on 12/30/2016. When he called to check on the status of vehicle he was informed by employee that his vehicle had been stolen. A lein check on vehicle showed the vehicle had been impounded by Detroit PD as of 01/01/2017 at 10:32pm. At this time there are no specifics as to where, how or why the vehicle was impounded. Further investigation revealed that a Porter for Dealership had made admissions to taking the vehicle. This employee was terminated and left prior to Officers arrival. Officers went to the suspect s residence in Southfield. Suspects girlfriend advised that suspect had come home grabbed some cloths and were picked up by a friend. Officers were given permission to check the residence. Suspect wasn t located at this time. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

10 Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 12/26/2016 9:00am Rodeo Ct. (Residential- Condo s) Christmas gifts and cash were taken from 2002 GMC Envoy. Victim states sometime between 12:15am- 9:15am someone went through her vehicle and took cash and Christmas gifts. Especially during the holidays! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 12/29/2016 7:50am Nancy Ave. All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Lincoln Continental. Victim states he got home from the Club at approx. 3:00am. He parked his 2017 Lincoln Continental in the driveway at his residence. At 7:50am victim woke up and observed that someone had taken All Four Wheels & Tires from the vehicle.

11 From: 12/28/2016 8:00pm To: 12/29/2016 9:00am Carriage Hill Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Victims work ID and registration for vehicle was taken from 2003 Dodge Neon. Victim states sometime between 8:00pm and the following morning at 9:00am someone entered his vehicle and went through the vehicle. Work ID and registration for vehicle was taken. 12/30/2016 8:15am Goldwin Dr. Misc. change was taken from the cup holders, some paperwork from the glove box and sweatshirts from the backseat were taken. Victim states sometime over night someone ransacked his vehicle and took some misc. coins from the cup holders, paperwork from the glove box and sweatshirts from the backseat. From: 01/01/2017 2:00am To: 01/01/ :00am North Park Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Radio was taken from 2016 Chrysler Town & Country. Victim states the radio was stolen out of his rental vehicle sometime between 2:00am- &11:00am. Entry was gained by slipping the driver door lock. No suspect information. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

12 Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 12/27/2016 1:16pm Glasgow St. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Victim#1 stated she was sitting in the car while Victim#2 went into the home in the Block of Glasgow to speak with his aunt. Victim#2 came back outside and was observed ducking down and started running away. A couple seconds later Victim#1 saw a man with a gun following Victim#2 towards the back. Victim#2 states after coming back outside from speaking with his aunt the suspect was standing in the front of the home near the garden area by the front window. The suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him. The suspect walked up to Victim#2 and ripped his necklace from his neck and demanded Victim#2 gives him all his money. Victim#2 pulled out an undisclosed amount of loose cash in assorted bills and threw it toward the suspect, the suspect picked up the money from the ground. Suspect then demanded the keys from Victim#1 for her vehicle. Victim#1 refused to give suspect the keys and he fired one round into the driver s seat of the vehicle. Victim#1 then gave suspect the keys and he fled the area on foot. Southfield Police K-9 tracked to the Block of Stuart where the track stalled out. A neighbor advised that there was a Black Ford Escape approx. 5 years old with tinted windows parked near where the track ended. There were

15 Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. Arrests by SPD Officers: OWI= Operate While Impaired OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics LFA= Larceny From Auto R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property DWLS= Driving With Suspended License A&B= Assault & Battery CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon NOLOP= No Operator License on Person R/A= Robbery Armed PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver PPO= Personal Protection Order - If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers as much information about the suspect(s) and suspect vehicles as you can. Stay on the phone with Dispatchers until the Police arrive.

16 -Lots of lighting around the area(s) that you park your vehicles is also very beneficial. Criminals don t like to work in well lighted areas. They prefer to work in darkness because it s difficult to see them. Possession of Marijuana/ A&B/ Obstruct Police & Felony Warrant- 3- Arrests Officers responded to a possible Unarmed Robbery of a Taxi Driver. Investigation revealed that 3- suspects got into an argument with the Taxi Driver in reference to the fare amount. At some point during the argument one of the subjects assaulted the Taxi Driver and together the tree suspects then tried to pull the Taxi Driver out of his taxi. The suspects then fled the area on foot. Officer from LVPD located the three suspects at Lathrup & New Hampshire. Southfield Officers responded to this location and all three suspects were taken into custody. OWI- 1- Arrest 8 Mile Rd. & Southfield Rd. 01/01/2017 1:20am Officer was dispatched to location on a report of a traffic crash. Upon arrival, Officer met with the involved drivers and suspected that one of them was intoxicated. An OWI investigation was conducted and the subject was placed under arrest for OWI.

17 AOD/ Possession of Cocaine/ Warrant FOC & A&B- 2- Arrests 12/28/2016 5:01pm Eight Mile Rd. & Inkster Rd. Officer was flagged down by Agent that requested that a vehicle be stopped. Prior to stopping the vehicle Officer observed two traffic violations. After stopping the vehicle and speaking with the driver Officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. A Southfield Police K-9 conducted a sweep of the vehicle. K-9 alerted to several areas of vehicle where small amounts of marijuana shake were observed. K-9 also alerted to an area of the trunk where suspected Cocaine was located. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested a sample of the suspected cocaine. The result was positive for possible presence of Cocaine. One of the occupants in the vehicle made admissions that the cocaine was his. He was arrested for Possession of Cocaine. A second subject that was in the vehicle was also arrested for Warrant FOC/ A&B.

18 CCW/ PPO Violation- 1- Arrest 12/26/2016 3:38am Block of Mulberry Dr. Officers were dispatched to residence reference a car alarm. Resident at location advises his car alarm went off and he was afraid to go out and check it. Officers checked the vehicle. It was secure and nothing looked out of place. R/P advised that if you lift or pull up on the door handles the alarm will activate. Officers did an area check and located a suspicious subject with a black bag walking in the area of Mulberry St near victim s residence. Officers questioned the subject. He wasn t from the area and he couldn t provide any reason for being in the area. During a pat down of subject Officers recovered a functioning Taser in subject s pocket. The subject was arrested for CCW. Note: Inside subjects duffle bag Officers located the following items: 1 Tom Tom GPS with cord, 1 Garmin GPS with cord, 1 Beats by Dre. Headphones, 1 wireless Bluetooth earpiece, multiple IPhone cords and other misc. items. Items commonly left in vehicles and taken in LFA s. The subject was also on Probation and being in possession of the Taser would be considered a violation of his probation.

19 OWI- 1- Arrest 10 Mile & Telegraph Rd. 8:19pm Officer was dispatched to location on a report of a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Officer met with the operator of the vehicle and suspected that he was intoxicated. An OWI investigation was conducted and the subject was placed under arrest for OWI. A&B/ Obstruct Police- 1- Arrest 12/29/ :38pm Block of Grayson Dr. Officers were dispatched to the Block of Grayson for a report of a family trouble. R/p (mother) advises that her daughter just got out of rehab for alcohol and has been living with her for the past few days. On this date the daughter was intoxicated and they got into a verbal argument. At some point during the argument R/P s daughter hit her in the chest, pushed her and kicked her cat. R/P s daughter then went to her bedroom. Officer s located daughter lying on the floor in the hallway next to the bathroom. When Officers attempted to talk to daughter about what happened she became verbally aggressive and screaming at Officers. When Officers attempted to take daughter into custody for A&B she resisted and Officers used the necessary force to take her into custody.

20 Aggravated Assault- 1- Arrest 12/31/ :06pm Wildbrook Dr. (Apartments) Officers responded to location reference Domestic Assault possibly involving a gun. Victim advises male half left in his 1999 White Buick Lesabre. Victim told Officers that she received a call from male half that if she didn t come and get her stuff out of his apartment he was going to burn it. Victim responded to her ex-boyfriends residence and waited out in her car for male half to bring her belongings. Victim states male half came out to her car carrying a Rifle. He entered victim s car and demanded to look at her phone to see who she has been texting etc. Victim refused and told him to get out of her car. Male half then attempted to take victims car keys from her. The two started fighting over the keys and the male half bit her hand in an attempt to get the keys from her. Victim fled from the vehicle and called 911. Officers located suspect in his 1999 Buick Lesabre not to far from his Apartment Complex. The suspect was taken into custody for Domestic Aggravated Assault.

21 Aggravated Assault/ Poss. of Marijuana/ DWLS/ R&O- 2 Arrests 01/01/2017 4:37am Block of Northwestern Hwy. Officers were dispatched to the Block of Northwestern Hwy for possible OWI driver that had hit the side of the building. Officers arrived on scene and pulled their patrol vehicle in behind suspect vehicle as it was attempting to leave the scene. The suspect vehicle nearly backed into Officers vehicle. Officers had to activate their overheads in order to avoid getting hit. The driver of the vehicle abruptly exited the vehicle and started screaming at the passenger in the vehicle. Officers intervened and could immediately detect the odor of intoxicants emanating from the vehicle. The odor of marijuana could also be detected from the interior of the vehicle. The two subjects continued to exchange words until the driver punched the passenger in the chest. The passenger exited the vehicle and attempted to go after the driver. Officer had to step in between the two subjects and attempted to stop the two from fighting. As a result of this Officer was struck in the chest by the passenger. Both subjects were eventually taken into custody. A witness also advised Officers that the two subjects had switched seats in the vehicle prior to the Officers arrival. Several scales and suspected marijuana was recovered from the vehicle. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested a sample of the suspected marijuana. Result was positive for possible presence of marijuana.

22 Disorderly Person/ Resisting Arrest- 1- Arrest 01/01/2017 5:32pm Block of Lockdale (Apartments) Officers were dispatched to the Block of Lockdale on a Domestic in which the mother wanted her daughter out of the apartment before a verbal altercation turned into a physical altercation. Upon Officers arrival they made contact with the daughter through the bathroom door. She was advised by Officers they needed to speak with her and requested she open the door. As soon as the door opened she stormed past Officers aggressively and began yelling and screaming at her mother. Officers attempted to calmly speak with her several times to get her side of the story however she was uncooperative. She continuously stormed in and out of the living room and bedroom yelling the entire time. She started violently throwing her belongings in the hallway all the while yelling at anyone and everyone that was present. The daughter was warned several times that if she didn't calm down she would be arrested for disorderly conduct & disturbing the peace. She refused to comply. When Officers attempted to take daughter into custody She resisted by pulling away, kicking and screaming. She was eventually taken into custody.
