So, gather your little ones, or big ones, and join him and Mrs. Claus at the Lodge for a delicious buffet, cookie decorating and more. It promises to be a wonderful family holiday activity. Angel Tree gifts are due by December 4th. Just drop your gift off at the front desk of the Lodge. Thank you to Cathy Walters and her merry group of volunteers for decorating the Lodge so beautifully! Be sure to stop by and see how festive the rooms look! Light Up Night is December 1st and the PO Christmas/Holiday Party is on the 8th. So much to do for the holiday season at Alpine Lake. As always, be sure to check the Calendar of Events for all future activities. Also, do not forget to update your entry card(s) for the pool and fitness room. It s easy to do. Just hand them to the front desk ladies and they will take care of it for you! BREAKFAST WITH SANTA presented by Alpine Lake Resort Alpine Lake Resort is holding a Breakfast with Santa at the Alpine Lodge on Saturday, December 15th, from 9am to 11am. The breakfast buffet will include French toast sticks, pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, biscuits with gravy, and orange or apple juice. The buffet is FREE for all children 12 and under, and is only $7.95 for teens and adults. Breakfast with Santa activities include a picture taken with Santa, at no cost, and ready to take home that same morning. Mrs. Santa will hand out Christmas stockings*, and there will be stations for cookie decorating and a Christmas Story Time. Santa may have some extra surprises for you! Please join us in the Evergreene Room at Alpine Lodge to celebrate the upcoming holiday season. Merry Christmas!! *There are a limited number of stockings available, so please don't wait until the last minute to visit with Santa. Anne and Sheila will provide: Fried chicken, roast leg of lamb & baked ham, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar and sugar substitute, plates, silverware and napkins. Bring your favorite appetizer, side dish or dessert to share... and whatever you want to drink. Property owners can sign up at the Lodge or call Ann Isennock (304) or Sheila Amato (304) no later than Thursday, December 20th to tell us how many people from your family/friends are coming, and to let us know which of your favorite dishes you will bring to share. Please sign up early we can accommodate only 50 people. Children are welcome! BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE by Cathy Walters A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to the 19 ALPOA volunteers who decked the halls with boughs of holly + an assortment of festive & fabulous trees, lights & ornaments (inside & outside) + prepared delicious soups, breads & desserts! Hope you have (or will) stop by the Lodge's "Winter Wonderland" and get into the spirit of the Christmas season at beautiful Alpine Lake. Light up night will be amazing and bright! Very special shout outs to Sabrina & Jim Liggett of The Painted Cupboard for their many generous crafted donations, to Robin Turner & Rhoda Fitzsimmons for their creative contributions, and to Mitch Tasker for his enthusiastic and willing help! Reminder: The upstairs Laker s Lounge "All-Sports Tree' is still in need of ornaments representing your favorite college or pro teams. Looking ahead: Clean up/tear down will be the afternoon of Saturday, January 5th. May your holidays be filled with peace and love and joy! 3 PROPERTY OWNERS COMMITTEE by Bernie & Birgit Stock As in years past, we will have our Property Owners Holiday/Christmas Party (Saturday, December 8th) and our Employee Holiday/Christmas Party (Sunday, December 16th). In regards to the latter, the Property Owners Committee will provide Gift Cards to our employees and assist in food preparation, serving and cleanup. MORE INFORMATION WILL BE FORTHCOMING IN THE SHADOW BOXES, ONLINE AND AT THE FRONT DESK. There will be a sign-up sheet at the front desk for both events or you may wish to call in. Reservations are needed to ensure proper preparation. Please help if you are able. Call B&B at (304) or (301) so we don t have to call you! Also, individual $$ donations to supplement the Gift Card expenses will be appreciated. Let s make them nice events...and dress for the occasion.
